  1. jeans look to be A-1 spec as we could all naturally assume would be the case with gordon (aka da man). i must say i really love the extra thick inseam chainstitch. maybe that'll keep you candyasses from complaining about the cotton thread;). makes it hard to choose between these and a pair of roys. gordon is VA's finest, so it's a tough call...

  2. i hate the fact that my NY JETS are historically the worst team out of all of the original NFL franchises, we haven't worn a bowl in 30 years, and now that we have the best team in our history we don't want to pay the best player we've ever drafted. i hate woody johnson. he's old and dried up, pay revis or die without a ring and let your kids spend your millions on coke , fast cars, and fast women....i hate the front office as much as i love the team.

  3. fuck you all!!! (in the nicest way possible) i basically raised the chick in the pic, so i just really couldn't see it going there. and fuck you mr. almostnice, fronting like your'e getting some real work in. eat dust fucker. denimes look like they havent' had any time off. you know what they call german cowboys?....nazis;) now let me go get my shits out the dryer before some shmuck steals em.

  4. farmer shut it DOWN! in a bit i'm gonna post some pics of my cheap-ass, durable as-shit tandy joint. i'm no leather scientist, but i would assume that as long as you start with a raw veg-tanned leather and wear it for a while it will beautify. leather is lfike denim: as long as they start off raw and you rock em' enough they will turn out nice, StF levis or hank-dyed 45 rpms.

so i'll just rub a lil shea on my belt, african style. leather is skin and since the oil glands are DEAD it might need some kind of fats/lipids to keep it supple. just a recommendation. shea has been proven through centuries of use.

as for the price of jap belts i could see the artisan craftsmanship( the stitch quality is always immaculate) and the attention to detail, exclusivity along with top-notch hardware as being a justifiable reason to charge so much for a leather strip. cause lets not trip, the leather from RM, KC, or IH(not surprising that it cracked eventually) is not but so much better than tandy unless they raise the cows on some secret island. the lady at tandy told me that tandy supplies raw veg tanned leather to japanese artisan companies, although she wouldn't name names. with all that said, if i could afford it i would grab a real nice peice from SE, cause that skull belt worn for the FH tour had the sickest buckle.

  5. nemo's leepros are insanity, and every time i see kromophobe's pair they get iller. crazy shit developing on those.

i love it how everyones's jumping on the 700's now. it's finally wash day for the denime, so i've had my 700s on for most of the day. now it's off to the laudrymat to get them out of the industrial-size dryer. the guy who runs it is a greasy old white dude that looks ''connected''. i'll tell him to keep an eye on the jeans and he'll pat me on the back and say ''i'll take care of you baby!'' i dig this guy, and there's something about old white guys with a hawaiian shirt and white golf shorts wearing gaudy gold jewelery that i love. plus he has a tailoring/alteration shop attached...

if the buckleback won't go all the way through you might have to struggle with it to get it to go in. if you'll actually use it to tighten the waist it'll help to break off the little bar across the copper teeth with a vice grip or pliers. that way the teeth can bite into the denim and secure the fit...

the warehouse denim is pima cotton so after a machine wash( or any proper starch removal technique) i would expect the denim to be pretty soft. if you soak them in hot water they will shrink

  6. you don't scare me mr. almostnice, not one bit...

    cross post from denime thread:

since almost nobody was feeling the last update, i decided to snap a few more pics, this time the jeans are being modeled by an annonymous young lady. imho jeans pics look better with the jeans worn on someone's body, it seems to give a deeper perspective of the fades in a 3-D kind of way. enjoy...i was going to patch this little hole in the denim near the crotch, but i just sewed around the hole to keep it from growing. i figured i needed a vapor-vent near my nuts to keep my swimmers happy...

right upper thigh. as you can see it's gotten the business. this is why i'm doing less and less hard labor in these, but yet still giving them regular 14 hour per, 7 day a week wear. so they will still develop despite less dramatic abuse. top patch is 100xx WH denim, bottom is black fullcount, both flipped to weft side to appear less jarring to the eye. on the rear pocket patch i left the warp side out since it will fade soon enough to a nice grey eventually...but it looks raw right now. you can see my handmade key thingy at the top left corner. you can only see a bit, but it was fleshy pink raw leather color only a few months ago. now it's very dark brown. i'll take a good pic of it later.

  7. nuk1 if you can probably hand stitch those inseams the jeans will have a much longer life...spectacular fades!

  8. you're a fucking beast atzec, you mofos are starting to scare me...i just fixed that other hole since it was getting noticably bigger daily. i just used the black fullcount denim, i wanted to use the vintage wrangler denim supplied by our resident madman professor almostnice, but i lost it and dammit as soon as i finished i found the shit. so the next patch when needed will be with the wrangler broken twill denim. i've switched to an 'every 2 weeks' wash regimen lately since i really prefer the fit once they've stretched out, especially in this heat. so i guess i'm at like 30 or so washes now.

  9. what the fuck you mofos have an adidas originals van that delivers goodies on demand? that shit would get jacked around my way, but everyone here wears basically AF1s and jordan/AF1 collabos so you could only sell em in the nicer areas.

today it's like 96 in the shade so im going with the black stars. i wanted asamoah gyan, or sulley montari, but essien is the only player available. ordering authentic name kits can be tricky. i had to pull teeth to get a #18 keisuke honda(japan) kit. its hard to get japan name & #s so most shirts you'll see might be blank.

  10. thanks guys, i'm now taking this as a personal challenge to keep the jeans going the full 2 years using only my hand repairs if possible. i had to use synthetic thread last night to fix both front pocket bags, there isn't enough fabric to pull up to the pocket opening and stitch it( and it would fuck up the fit), so i just sewed the pocket back to the denim wherever it matched up. makes for a much better repair. so now the tops of the pockets are a bit frayed(well, more than a bit) but the pocket remains fully functional. i used hoe's hair weave thread in dark brown. looks black. all of the major seams are yet undamaged( backseam, yoke, inseams, crotch) so they will last longer than most would think. its funny how everyone complains about the cotton thread, but i've worn mine harder than anyone and the thread is less of an 'issue' than wearing holes in the denim. but i tend to do less and less hard work lately so that will make them last longer as well.

  11. yesterday.. UEFA champions Inter 100th anniversary #9 sammy eto'o baby! favorite player on my favorite team. this is better than when brett played for the jets. took a while cause i had to order the name and # kit from inter milan, and the UEFA patch was the icing on the cake...worn with warehouse 700 and nike cortez 72'(no vis)

  12. i've seen plenty of long worn rustlers, comfort action sports( k-mart brand) and other $30 or less jeans that have super sick fades at home depot all the time. i saw a truck driver at work 2 days ago with the illest 501 STF jawns, you just easily tell they wore worn for years without any care given to wash or anything else. and you can tell that they were raw when first worn. straight dope shit. the cost of a denim means nothing(really!) in comparison to long-term wear.

  13. i'm at 9 months now, so soon i'll post some updates. the back of the legs are starting to fade in nicely now. after 2 weeks of sweat buildup working in a hotbox these are now in the dryer after a nice hand wash(chandrika soap). i'm heading home now to repair the other gaping hole on the right thigh.

UPDATE: well, i didn't repair that hole, but i did snap some pics to pump some life into this thread... here are the jeans in light from the sun behind thin clouds. perfect lighting imho. jeans look just like this irl...

this is for flash, my generous benefactor. this is82899096.jpg[ some of the vintage evis denim he sent a while back. it is just starting to break. it is the softest japanese selvage denim i've ever rubbed with my own fingers. and it fades slow. the sample shown here has taken a beating over the past 3-4 months in a high-abuse area. here's the rear view, similar lighting conditions. a pic is worth 1000 words, but somehow i use 1000 words to describe the pics!

for some reason i cant upload some of these pics, but here's one of the back pocket. there's a much bigger hole above this one(patched last week with black FC denim) i'll fix this hole one day.

  14. well yesterday the denimes spent a good bit of time in the evening smoking ganga by the james(powhatan) river, so today they got a good hand-rubbing with chandrika ayurvedic soap, and now they are at the laundromat getting a good dry. after that they're going to work in the marlboro warehouse
