  1. this is to show how paltry and inadequate i am in comparison to florian...warehouse 700 about 30 or so wears, 2 washes. i swear i've been trying to not fade these jeans, no real hard work like previous jeans, just the regular 8 hour gig. 1000xx denim fades just by looking at it.

@erk, i got these when BiG first dropped them since i had just missed the FC contest preorder by a day or two, so i bought a barely worn pair of 1108s for like 90 bucks, and i came into a lil $$$ soon after so i grabbed the WH700s as a back-up/ obvious future wear to death jean while i had the spare $$$ on hand. i wore the FC until the denime contest came up, so the WH have again taken a backseat. they are now pushed even further back in the 'rotation' since word of the eternal 811 contest has reached me. but they fade fast, so they still change even with very light wear. maybe in a few years they will be on florian's level. these are as great as any other jeans i wear, it's just somehow they've become my '' every now and then'' jeans for now. i cut off the belt loops to give them an even older, 1920s-early 1930's steez. i hammered down the rivets for similar effect

  2. beautiful family atzec. you guys (and beatle) like pics, so here's more taken today before the regular gig. i got a stone masonry job in the morn, so maybe i should've taken these next week after the weekly wash...but oh well enjoy

here's the fraying of the chainstitch at the top of the waistband. i think LVCs have this too, so i guess it's a true repro touch. note how frayed and tattered it is to the chainstitch that actually holds the waistband on. the waistband stitch is untouched, due to the tension of the thread which recesses the stitch into the denim so it gets far less abrasion. does anyone else have this. i like it. the top chainstitch did nothing to make the jeans last longer anyway...

the corner of pocket is coming undone. i'll fix it this week sometime...

  3. well, to degrade myself i have taken the time and torture to post my own one months wear WH700s after the great florian's grail pair. this can be qualified as self sadistic behavior...i finally hijacked my aunt's decent camera...then the battery died as i was getting rear pics...more soon.. please pay no mind to the dates, you can see where i removed the belt loops

  4. i love drama! forreal though, eternal is one of the most hardcore all okayama companies out there, if they don't want to change certain details, then that's their right. for some reason people are speaking as though eternal was going out of business, and they beat down gordon's door to collaborate on a last-ditch effort to keep their doors open. we are NOT doing eternal a real solid by buying these jeans. remember a few years back you couldn't even get a pair of 811s here in the states. we have become so damn denim spoiled(via the hard work of gordon, kiya, and others) that we forget that it's a priviledge to wear a pair of eternals. we all wear uber expensive denims anyway and the average cost is about 300 beans so the price is not even a discussion. if you can't pay to play then beg like me;). i'm gonna save for these. i want the new resolutes, but these are so tempting...

  5. denim belt is dope! i might treat my self to one of those...

according to the BiG site the 1001xx denim has the oxidation. but all of their denim might have it, for all i know. here is a quote: ''With the 1001XX they set out to create a jean that would look, feel, and wear like an old dead stock pair of jeans going as far as to create an oxidization process that aged the newly woven denim to give it similar characteristics.''

setterman, i can't wait for your 15 aniversary evo in a few months! embrace the fur!!!

after a 5 day soak i sprayed them down with a hose, and threw em in a drier for 1.5 hours. the long-soak did NOTHING to the denim, or the precious indigo, nor did the hardware rust...

  6. damn, i got 0 response from BiG, i must be out the loop, or my pimp hand has gone limp. new jeans out in the fall, eh? no one has been able to give me any info as to the source of denimes cotton, or where the denim itself is woven, so i highly doubt that this new denim will be any less of a secret

  7. like beatle says, the denim looks tasty. these jeans kick arse. enjoy denim lifestyle! support t5, they are what happens when keeping it real goes right. that patch obviously will age beautifully, if you don't boil it like me

cant' rep ah long for that SC shirt, but i plan too...

  8. flash is a good friend, so i'm down of course, but first and formost let me apologize to all for my pitiful attempt at participating in the FH tour. camera got fucked up as soon as i recieved them. so put me in at the 3rd or fourth spot. lendo has shown interest, so he should be right before me so then i can just go to his crib and smoke him out so while he's high i can sneak out with the jawns. I WILL REDEEM MYSELF with this tour. now all we need are t-shirts, and a journal...ha ha

  9. i like the cut, and the arcs look good. i don't like how the didn't show the selvage. but if the price is $200 i'll take a pair of hardcore MiJ jeans (like some eternals for ex.) for 50 bucks more. but forreal if you just want a pair of selvage evisus just for show you can get these ''budget models'' and no one will no the difference(unless they are from sufu;))

  10. what's worse, i NEVER dropped the camera, it just went kaputz! i bought it from a dope fiend, so that's what i get. that's ok, i'm scared to post clear pics for fear that they will make you feel even more inferior.

a quote from the denim-nazi himself:

05-21-10 12:47 PM almostnice where is my bloody rep, bitch?!!

see how he talks to me, like i'm the black rodney dangerfield. and to make matters worse, he's my main sponsor, so i actually owe this bastard. greedy fuck has damn-near 2000 rep points, but he's haggling me for some more...absolutely abhorrent

  11. are you referring to the thin thread the jeans are sewn together with? the thread my 700s are sewn with is really thin as well, it makes for a very subtle finish. when you look at the jeans its so thin you almost know it's there. maybe not a good thing for those who already cry about all cotton thread, but you know how that goes...i had my 700s soaking in a bucket in my mom's yard, and by the time i got back around here today it's like 5 days later...so a sprayed them down with a hose, and into the dryer for 90 minutes.

  12. jiro shirasu looks cool as fuck in that avatar pic. i used to use it myself. if anyone will stock resolute in the near future, it would be gordon. something tells me he won't be selling any of the new-batch denimes after the gold-label ones he has now are all gone. so resolute would be the perfect label to replace denime with on his roster...but these are all salaams assumptions, which don't mean shit. let's just hope for the best.

i don't mind the paper patch or the lack of hidden rivets if it's actually historically correct. i don't really miss the rivets in the back-pockets. if i were getting a 50s or earlier based cut, such as the xx type denimes, i would demand leather patches, and hidden rivets, since that's more ''real repro''. i can't fault the man for making period correct, non-flashy, fashion-be-damned jeans for a decent price considering the quality of the jeans and passion of the man himself.

  13. you dirty boy! belt evo is lovely. i'm digging the hip-darts that begin as whiskers, and continue around the hip to the back pocket. i've got the same thing starting to develop, but mine is less pronounced, so you got me in that category. somehow it's only on my left side though.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

friends, don't be fooled/impressed by anything almostnice does he's just waiting on the washes to get contrast;). he's dedicated, relentless, and just an vile, demented insidious creature. a sad, drunken man indeed:D

  14. wow, a resolute contest would be the perfect way to kick off this new label, just as the t5 contest was the perfect way to send denime off with a bang. i hope it's a 2-year contest ;)i plan to have a lil extra $$$ soon, so of course i'm in. as for the timing conflicting with the t5 contest it takes a while to get a contest off the ground, so if there is to be a resolute contest i'm still wearing the denimes till the end of the 2 years, and then moving on to the resolutes. i wonder if blue in green would be interested in stocking this label, and sponsoring a contest. let me shoot gordon an e-holla....

update: i called gordon but the japanese dude wasn't letting me talk to him since he was busy. so i sent a e-mail asking about whether he plans to stock the brand, and about his potential interest in a contest. so at least he knows what's in the air...

  15. yeah crash, i refuse to wear adidas without the trefoil. i've been like that for years. i grabbed these the other day,

    72882818.jpg

but today i'm rocking the 72 cortez nikes, black and white. when i copped the aditennis above, i actually thought of you. damn we are alike...

that #3 denim fades damn nice
