  1. my bad those were imps. so much great evo on the last few pages i got overwhelmed, and my brain busted a leak.

illout, posting loads of pics of great jeans in no way clutters up this thread. that's what we come here for: pics, pics, and mo' pics. macro, oversized, who gives a shit as long as the fades are tight? what clutters up the thread are pics of 1 month old jeans with minimal fades

    those skulls are a jaw-dropper

  2. ^^ this means if you can't get the old denime from jp, you need to holla at gordon for a pair of those 'gold label' BiG exclusives. they are the old xx denim, get them while they last.

  3. the thing is how many people will be willing to pay the $300 for the jeans, and how much of a price difference is there between these and their most expensive 'premium jean' ?

  4. lord knows they are. i got back from the Ob/Gyn and i have a 2month old WMD in the oven right now....wash #20 something. chandrika soap, hung until no more drips, and hotdried for an hour. steam ironed the entire jean turned inside out. these are starting to look like an old pair of levis...gasp;)

just from her DNA almostnice's daughter just seems to naturally know what cool is

  6. medine, i still got the old one, i've discovered like 2-3 pages in the back after all, so i'll send it to you to finish it off. kiya said to send it to him, but it's not completely full so i guess it would go to you. i'll let him know the situation...

  7. girls are more....lets just say moist in the crotch than dudes so imho they might need to wash or at least soak more than men. it's not all about the fast fade. it's about enjoying the jeans your'e wearing. pussy juice + crotch sweat will beat just ball sweat anyday. there is no comparison. shorty's balders are walking, while the other chicks are running, that's all. after a while they all get to the same place.

  8. illout, i can't even believe what i've just seen! seriously, suck a grail collection...daring to speak for others, WE HERE AT SUPERDENIM DEMAND A DETAILED PICTURE ANALYSIS OF EACH ONE OF THOSE JEANS! the new bunga has arrived.

FFFthose IH are the sickest! both you and illOut are Supreme Chancellor Palpatine status. everybody step your game up!

  9. as to what beatle just said it's a shame how they lurk here to find trends and then act as if they just discovered gold in SF. but a funny thing to me is how he is in the fashion industry and he says he just found warehouse last year. yeah right. making himself sound more aloof than he should be. the truth be told, warehouse is small, special, and not as many cats as we may think are 'up on' it.

cheep, i'm so broke a nigga can't even pay attention...i don't have enough change to change my mind

  10. i've found that knee fades come from doing shit on your knees. the rougher/more abrasive the surfaces you're kneeling on or whatever leads to faster fading. even carpet will fade the knees eventually. anything harder than the cotton itselt is considered abrasive.

one more thing, dude at the top of the page mentioned sanforized denim as being lower-grade. not true at all. i won't buy sanf/pre-shrunk jeans, but i have to admit that sanforization has NOTHING to do with the quality of the denim itself. evisu's no.2 denim is a sanforized version of the no.1 and is just as nice. the creases might not fade as sharp over time since the sizing is more stable, but that's about it.

  11. well it's a funny thing because we all love being '' up on'' the latest and greatest denims first, but when a company who is trill to the fullest finds a way to get their $$$ on it's not received as a good thing. although j.crew is everywhere they make quality shit, so it's not like they are partnering with a bullshit mass-marketed company. gordon shouldn't be worried cause most of the hardcore cats want an original japan-issue pair of warehouse instead of a collabo. i think this is more for the regular j.crew customer who may be ''up on'' the 'selvage rush' so he'll wear j. crew on his upperbody, but he wouldn't rock their jeans. they probably got tired of customers coming into the store with better jeans than they could offer themselves. so at least having these available in some places will solve that problem. but me personally, i'll take a pair of 660s from BiG for $245, or the 800s for $275...

on another note it's funny how they followed the gordon blueprint with the union special. nice touch. j. crew is now a real denim-shop. damn, everyone knows 1000xxdenim fades fast. now it's actually a selling point. i guess 'rinse' is the new one-wash. so now the store clerks won't be as stupid sounding when answering sizing/fit questions

c'mon agent cheep, don't try to convince me that you are as broke as I am...

  12. it's amazing how fast the leather tans after a few days of running around in the sun. a weekend at the riva and the brown is really coming in. from the chart tandy gave me i think this belt is 10oz.

  13. i heard this mentioned here in this thread a while back. plus i just assumed since denime is the OG japanese repro brand at least 1 or 2 of the millions of japanese would have been aware of this contest and decide to join, even though denime are no doubt easier to find and cheaper in jp.

these jeans are fading so ''vintagesque'' it's scary. this denim is truly superb. you can't tell until you've faded it in. lemmy pomata can tell vouch.

  14. i don't know what wallet that is cheep, but the patina is bossy.

to add my two cents, i love kix and what i've seen from tanner goods. from what i can tell in my belt noobdom, if you get a good saddle leather belt, rub a little protectant(choose one) and rock it consistently it will age just as well as the rope-dyed jeans we all love. if you can get said belt at a good price, get it.

  15. you remember the bake-off? damn, you cats really pay attention to the ole' boy! +rep! actually cotton takes a long time to burn even @ 350 farenheit. i've been ironing my denimes( my not-so-secret weapon in the contest) on a frequent basis after washes when needed, and i've occasionally left the hot iron on them while i've gotten something out of the baby's hand, and forgot about it for a quick sec. they haven't burned yet. so a minute or two in the ''kiln'' won't hurt the denim. i fucked up a bit on the arcs, but after a lil wear they wear away. paint is not permanent

  16. well i got it at a store here in Richmond called elwood thompson's . it's a whole foods/organic grocery store, probably the most expensive grocer in town for obvious reasons. but they are the #1 place in town for soap. they have a shitload of all of the types of bronners, as well as a large variety of small batch, organic soaps. some made by locals who supply the store, and some brands are long well known. some of the soaps are pricey, but forreal a lot of the better shit is cheap. the kirks castille is like $2 usd/bar, and the chandrika is $2 or less. a small bar is enough for at least 10 jeans washes, so were talking less than 25 cents worth of soap per wash. i don't use dr. bronners anymore cause i've been short of $$$, and the lye bar soaps work just as well. i just dampen the whole jean, then rub a decent amount of the soap directly onto the denim. then i massage the soap in with only the soft tips of the fingers, then i dump them in my wash bucket repeatedly and rinse until the water is clear.

TV if you want more i'll send it with the belt i'm making you that i forgot to tell you about;)

heres an online review of the chandrika:

''I have used this soap for well over 10 years and it still remains my favorite. While Chandrika Ayurvedic soap is handmade using no animal products, it's intoxicating and fragrant scent along with its outstanding properties as a soap are what have made me a fan for so many years. It never dries your skin yet cleans your skin completely. The packaging is also a big part of my love for this product. Each bar is stamped on both sides with an imprint and individually wrapped in clear cellophane wrapper which is then wrapped with a folded parchment sheet printed on both sides with the soap's 9 ingredients (coconut oil making up over 66%). At the bottom of the paper wrapper it states "Always Use CHANDRIKA Ensure your Personal charm." I hope you will give it a try. It's a magical little item that is inexpensive, but wonderful.

  17. setterman, after reading your response to my post, i only have one thing to say.............

I CONCUR WHOLEHEARTEDLY. i have noticed that everyone is all hyped-up as soon as things are getting underway, but then things don't get good until after like 6 months or so, and then it fizzles out. so the people who were serious contestants(whether they really have a chance in hell or not) have already submitted their pics. miki-san should judge, winners announced, and prizes dispersed. we always have a lot of cats who preorder the jeans at the group discount rate, and then save the jeans for a much later time.

  18. you mofos need to stop...firstly there is no shame in painting your own arcs. why is it that handpainted evisu arcs are so prized, but painting a pair of WH is denim blasphemy? the painted arcs don't last that long, so they will be gone eventually. even most of the paint on klue's FC didn't last forever, and he painted those all over. a tip is to use a bit of chalk to make a basic shape of the arcs and then paint over top. this makes me want to paint my 700s before i really break them in. btw the fades on dudes 660s looks great so far, and if anyone with a previously negative comment can post a pic of their jeans and they look even half as good as klues FC i'll start rocking aeropostale jeans from now on. japanese kids have been customizing their denime, FC, warehouse, and evisu in various ways for the longest. i hope im not the first to mention this...sam denim and WH are way different. and the sams aren't the first to use that arc style. i forgot who, but another world-class japanese label has used similar arcs. but shit, lee bit levis arcs(and countless others) back in the good ole' west...
