  3. depth of field is completely different between his shoes and the pavement next to his shoes

that contour of light looking thing is because he was in a place that has different lighting than the background

cars cast a shadow, he doesnt

either that or he edited the picture to make it look like he was just added in later and as if he was floating in mid-air

    how meta would that be

    thats what im saying.

    jkissi where you at?

My guess would be that he's used a mask to change the colours etc on just himself and to blur the background slightly in an effort to make the photo look better.

nah not really guys it was shot with an 50 mm 1.8 .. the dof was is actually like that in the picture but when i was editing the picture in PS I did shadow/highlight which i rarely do on my pictures and now it looks all like im floating on concrete and shit lol felt too lazy to go back and redo shit .. never fucking with that i was just experimenting though .. but yeah thats the story on that

  4. Thanks for the props

Gouf I can't knock you for your opinion you know I couldve possibly went with black pants and more toned down. I rather go with the red just because I liked the red/gray combo.. hey its all opinions at the end of the day though

    yeah icandunk theyre Uniqlo.

  5. three years ago, i used to dress really badly and hung out with hipsters. hence, i wore one of those kaffiyeh scarves--cause that just pulls so much hipster poon.

i was wearing it while taking a train ride down to astor. Around Grand Central, this girl standing says, excuse me to me (i'm sitting down). I look up, and it's a middle eastern girl, but not in any robes, she was americanized and had an american accent. She's probably 2 or 3 years older than me. She says,

"Why are you wearing that?" (pointing to my scarf).

In my head I think, "Oh fuck, i've offended a muslim person."

    she continues

"Where I'm from, people wear that as a sign of rebellion. Tell me, are you rebelling against something?"

    Still nervous, I jokingly say.

"I guess I'm just rebelling against preppy clothes"

She takes me seriously, and says "Oh okay."

We end up talking about the scarf for a while and she asks me a lot of questions about my background, what I do, where I go to school, and eventualyl sits down next to me. I start thinking she's into me, and i'm excited cause she was pretty attractive. I tell her I'm getting off the next stop, and she says the following:

"oh that's too bad, can i just ask you for something before you go?"

I smile and say yes, thinking she wants my number.

she: "Can I say a prayer over you?"

    me; uhhhhhh....

and in the middle of the train she puts one hand over my head and starts praying for jesus to bless me. Turns out she's a christian. Before I leave, she hands me a jesus pamphlet and tells me to meet her and all the other "youhts" at union square later in the day to learn more about the word.

damn son you got pwned .. what a dagger lol

  6. califonia is way better. never been to southern california but don't need to really.

New York has a lot going for it though. Better:

    music scenes

    clothing shopping

    public transportation

    museums and art

networking opportunities- professionally and socially. easier to make industry contacts and easier to make new friends I think.

    Bay area has better:

    people/atmosphere

beaches, muir woods and access to sierras/ great national parks

    music stores

    hippy-friendly

everyone knows all the lyrics to The Chronic and Doggystyle (I value this a lot)

For some reason it feels like even though New York is much larger that it has more tight knit communities within the city.... example: I see the same people at all the concerts I go to, same people at parties I go to. And every time I'm below 14th st I run into someone I know from somewhere on the sidewalk.

Can't wait to go back to CA some day though.

How can you compare Bay Area to New York City.. only thing bay area or cali in fact has is the beaches thats about it ..

Everyone knows the words to Biggy - Juicy in NYC also lol
