I washed again yesterday! I haven't processed the photos at all, but I think the camera and the lighting combined have added to a tiny bit more contrast than IRL. The color is somewhere between the photos where I wear them and the close-ups. Still loving these a lot, the texture is close to perfection.

Great fit, @Spiraltoy! I'd say we have similar wear and I've been washing once a month as well.

It’s been freezing here lately, so yesterday I bought a warm overall and shoes for the doggo, put on wool underwear and my expedition down jacket, and went for a long walk in the woods.
The trees are weighed down with heavy snow, bending and forming obstacles and portals. Just lovely!(The lack of jean action, or me, in the photos due to the dog’s limited skills.)

Same. If I could change one thing, I would make mine 1-2 inches shorter. But alas, no good hemming service to be found here in Norway. I once took another pair to a store that makes and sells Japanese selvage denim, but they just looked at me weirdly when I asked about the machine and the stitching, and in the end they did it exactly the way I would on my own sewing machine, no better or worse.

The washing machines that I use are very harsh, industrial, and they wreak havoc on my more delicate clothing, but apart from that all of the above is probably true. I can count on two hands (one and a couple of fingers really) the days I haven't worn these jeans since September 1st. I've also walked for a couple of hours each day, often in the woods, and spent a lot of time on the ground training the dog. Well, at least before the endless rain of the last few months began...

Another month, another wash. This is the fifth, I think, and from now on I'll just throw 'em in the washer every time the dog muddies them up, looks like the creases are well set at this point. I've loaned the good camera to a friend so these are all phone pics, with some contrasty over-compensation for the all-tungsten light in the basement on the photos of full front and back. The color and fade is most accurate in the close-ups.
Wash crease not as significant as it looks here, phew:
Repair job coming up:

Wow, @Uncle Karl! So nice for the cats and also very good looking. I wish I could hire you to do some work in my apartment here in Norway!

(Edit: For some reason I wasn't able to enter text on my phone... And the picture didn't show either.)
Wow, the progress on these last few pages... Impressive! I've washed yet again, a monthly event here, and this is what the upper thigh looks like now. Nothing like @Uncle Karl or @mzasch for sure, but I think the puppy and multiple daily walks have contributed to quicker fading than normal for me.I love the high rise and I always tuck. I tried on a batch of the other jeans I own while tidying up last week and they all felt more constricting in the seat and thigh. These are my jeans that fit most like sweatpants, haha, albeit very high waisted ones...

Thanks! I'll share all my secrets in this thread, of course. I wash at 40 degrees (celsius) and used the dryer this last time as well. I use the shared laundry room in the basement of my building and the machines there are industrial, about three times as large as normal and very powerful, probably a bit harder on the clothes than consumer machines. I never wash my wool jumpers there, for example, because they would end up in a toddler size. One drawback though: I forgot to shake out the jeans before throwing them in the dryer, so one of those pesky laundry folds got a lot of friction and now there's a significant stripe down the leg. Bummer, but I guess it'll disappear with time.

After what’s technically the fourth wash:
Something is happening here, even for an (home) office rat like me. I guess it helps to have a puppy.
I’ve worn the jeans all days since the start of the contest except for two Sundays spent in sweatpants and one day that called for more formal attire. Still love ‘em!

Great fit and pictures, @Jared_Lee! Sorry to hear about the cat.

Cat and my 40th day buddy.
Super adorable! My cat is too fat to use the leg as a tunnel, I'm afraid.

Very well, thanks! I'm so happy that he's a youth now, we're having lots of fun and I get to do other things as well, not just take him out to pee every hour.
Speaking of, we (Thiago and I) went to a friend's farm/stables this weekend. I was going to pose on a tractor (and maybe even on a horse!) for you all, but alas, on Saturday we forgot and the next day it was raining too much. These are more or less all I have:
I delayed the wash I was contemplating late last week because of this trip, no use washing only to smell like a horse a couple of days later, but in 55 minutes the jeans are going in the washer! Will return with more pics after.

Best quilt ever, @chicote! Great fits and progress, everyone. I've worn the jeans every day except for last Sunday, when I never managed to get out of my sweatpants. I see some more fadez come in now, which is nice. I rarely carry anything in the pockets for long, but I can just about make out the contours of the dog clicker (!) in the coin pocket. The story of this summer/autumn, I guess.
Previously promised photos still to come, hopefully this weekend.

Day 10, off to work with lil' doggo. I've actually worn the jeans every day since the start of the contest and I can already see some nice creases and fades coming in. It's been a while since my last new pair, but these seem like pretty fast faders. And I've either lost a substantial amount of weight since September 1st, or these have stretched a few inches the past week and a half. I bet on the latter.
Autumn is definitely in the air in Norway these days, mornings are cold and bright and I've started layering. Tucked shirt ftw btw! I'll break out the real camera this weekend and try to get some better shots.

Awww, that is a cute dog!! What's the name?
Thiago! He's a Brazilian terrier, so it made sense to give him a Brazilian name. I don't care about football (soccer) but men always ask me if he's named after some famous player. Truth is I named him after the cute exchange student in my class in high school.

If there’s a prize for “Best Fit” the wimmenz will be the strongest contenders cuz the combo of top block ratio + high rise favor them. Hell, they could even pull a sized down.
Yes, truth be told - and this is not to minimize other people's sizing issues - these jeans feel more or less exactly like my other size 30 jeans. The waist is indeed a bit smaller but it also sits higher up where I measure less. Could've managed a 29, but I'm very happy with the way things are!
Anyway, it's on! Busy morning, but I'll get back with my official kick-off picture later. I'll admit that I wore the jeans taking my puppy for a walk around the block late last night. I just couldn't wait...

Tiny update from me as well! I washed a couple weeks ago, lost count now that I do it more often, but with all the mud when the snow's melting and my dog jumping like crazy these days, I actually haven't worn the 40s since. It was nice to have some variety (although I must admit I mainly wore sweatpants at the home office) and also great to put them on again yesterday. A couple of shots after struggling with the bluetooth remote app. Only after did I remember that my camera was programmed to simulate ol' Kodachrome, so the photos are a little bit warmer and more saturated than real life.
Fades are not showing that well either, but they're coming along nicely now, for the first time I might get those faded-to-almost-white thighs that I so often envy in vintage jeans.
Oh, and @Uncle Karl, you certainly look like a winner to me! Lots of other pairs look great as well.
