Do the the 501xx have a slight bootcut? Refering to the pic quid posted.no, it's based on the 501 cut
501xx IS a bootcut.

edmond did you wear those while they were damp? Seems they have a pretty strange wear pattern.
He lives in Manila so they're always a little bit damp...

Those jeans must be fading beatifully, especially if Chuck Norris wears them. But that counts for every pair of jeans that he wears
Wonder why there's no denim Chuck Norris fact yet;)
Yeah and they fade fast because Chuck Norris never sleeps he's always on alert....

yeah the UK sux the governement is only interseted in making money.
i thnk i'll just reject the parcel and have it returned, im not paying $190 on a pair of shorts, hopefully hinoya may even give me a refund but i doubt it
Are you saying that you have to pay 60% for customs? How do they count it? Wheres your Robin Hood when you need him...

It started somewhere around 400 so I guess it's at about 130 orders...
That 400 to 537 is all their online sales during that time? I would imagine 90% of them are those contest jeans though...

As mentioned I really don't want to wash them due to the leg length being perfect now. I wish Giles had the 36's when I got mine.
You've never washed/soaked? If you have already soaked them, just wash them and pull the length back when wet. Thats what I do. And I do believe that this 'pulling thingie' reduces knee bulging as well.

Quality is not the same thing as durability in this case. I have work-pants that are made of modern materials like corduroy and stuff like that and if they wouldn't hold up THAT would be a quality issue.
If my reproduction jeans with cotton threading don't hold up thats nothing new to me. I'm amazed that people are saying things like "My 250$ pair of jeans are bad quality the seams dont hold up and I got crotch rips....". Where is it said that these jeans are more durable than 50$ jeans (they might even be less durable...)?
I would like to say that there should be other reasons to buy these jeans but I'm too fucked up right now and it would sound too cheesy so maybe day after tomorrow. Peace. Love your jeans, mend them when they need it...

So, if I want a fit of a modern 501, my best bet would be the 510?
I haven't tried modern 501's in 20 years so I don't know, but from those two 5000vx would be your modern straight jean. 510 is more like 40's - 50's cut.

wild style, nice job with the John Bulls! It's my favourite jean at the moment but could be little bit longer (36). I screwed the leather patch in first hot soak...

Well, you are missing the point of the +2. You are meant to purchase your true size, and then wear the jeans on your hips. I am guessing that that is why Cheep took pictures with both the 28" (his "real size") and a 30" (technically +2). If you prefer the first look, size down 2. If you prefer the second (which I do, very much), then purchase true to waist size. Unfortunately, 32" is my "real size," and I typically size up to a 34" to get the same look. I was considering purchasing a 34" tagged for the measurements (which would be perfect), but in a 36" waist, it would be 4 sizes too big... Good luck to all participating, and congratulations to those that got this project off of the ground. It has been expertly handled, thus far. This seems like as close to a Warehouse (denim) X APC (cut) colab as we're ever going to get, and the price is perfect.
Actually, missing the +2 (or any other number) was my intent. Just measure where you are supposed to wear your jeans and look the chart. Thats what I usually do...

Yes, everyone is happy. Except for me, of course. Because I've got 10lbs to lose. I blame it on Aporto's chicken burgers. I should stop eating them all the time, but it's like they've mix crack into the chilli sauce or something.
There is definitely a case there. Aporto's going to pay your future denim!

I have a suggestion. Change the size table so that in the "SIZE" row there is A, B, C, ... instead of 30, 31, 32, ... I bet there would be less confusion here said the joker to the...

#2 is not an easy tapering job they usually take from the outer seam, selvage seam,
Strange, usually it's done from the inside seam. Especially if you want to taper your pants the whole way down.
Maybe it depends...

Go to the tailor and tell what you want he/she will mark the jeans the way he wants. It's a pretty straight forward thing to do...

ive got some 1001xx that ill try and post some fit and wear pics of, i believe there the exact same cut as 1000's just different area of cotton (1000xx zimbabwe?maybe,1001xx memphis) great denim and nice vintage baggier cut(50's 501)
Zimbabwe would be great. Yesterday I just relized that I like my zimbabwe cotton jeans the most they're so comfortable. Yes, fit pics please.
I'm really starting to like that fade on looser fit jeans. You can actually make out where the thighs sit on the jeans through the fade. Looks awesome. I don't own enough regular fit jeans. That's true. And I don't own enough regular fit jeans either -as if I own enough jeans ever...
