Generally when they are raw, do you wash them straight away before wearing them? And you give them the second wash after approximately how many days? I washed my 221 hot directly after purchase and I have been wearing it every day for 6 weeks.

@thank you for your reply :)

  4. @beautiful_FrEaK Hello, can I ask how do you wash your jeans? Do you wash them right side out or inside out? I read that Yoshiyuki Hayashi recommended washing them right side out to get a noticeable fade on the seams, buttonholes, etc.

Ils sont assez similaires. Le 714 a une élévation légèrement plus élevée (vraiment seulement 0,5-1 cm) et est plus effilé.

Thank you for your opinion. you must have a nice collection of jeans :)

I'll probably be tempted by the 224, I'm waiting for it to be available in L30. Oddly enough the L30 on my 221 corresponds to an L32.

You answered your own question with the last post :D

Yes they will be in constant production. IMO, they should name them Lot.220B, 220C and so on ;)

and yes, the 224 should be a tad slimmer than the 221

It’s a good thing if production is constant. I was wondering what the “a” in lot 220a meant. It’s curious, there isn’t another indicator on lot 221. Just an “N510D”, do you know what that corresponds to? Are you going to order the 224? I wonder if the size will be true to the 220 or 221. I have the model 66 from the original line (30th) and it is smaller than my 221 (my 221 is a W32 and my 66 a W33).

    Thanks for the info!

I kinda fear Warehouse will do the same with Denime as they do with Warehouse: creating a model for each month of the year from 1940 until 1955 ;)
So we will certainly see A LOT models with minor changes.

@beautiful_FrEaK Hahaha Yes that's exactly it lol It's a little hard to follow sometimes. Do you know if they will release batches 220 and 221 again? I wonder how model 66 will be, certainly thinner than batch 221.

They fit TTS albeit loosely becasue of the cut of the jacket.. ie- it has no shape and fits like a sack so it's up to you to pull the draw strings in, if needed around the waist, hem, cuffs ect.. to give the jacket a closer fit to the body.

I have a size med for sale on ebay with some sizes attached.. i'm 5'11".. 75kg.. 39" chest, 32" waist and the size 40 fits how an M-65 should (not fitted)

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126179863408

Shamelessly.. it would be much cheaper for folks here

They don't shrink at all in the wash.. if you live in a wet environment, add a Tech wash treatment instead of detergent.. Nikwax or something similar.

Thank you for this information. A size M would be perfect for me I think. Mias I am looking for the 1st model (without the shoulder pads).

  10. Hello, I'm thinking more and more about buying an M65 Field Jacket, I like the Real McCoy early model. Does anyone know if this is a large or small size jacket? Does it shrink in the wash? I saw that Orslow also made one but the McCoy seems better to me. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

    Haven't noticed it yet.
I mean the explanation is rather strange since most denim we talk here is rope dyed and I haven't noticed it so strong on other brands. Yes the denim changes from lot to lot like every product. I would then just assume that the production runs were rather big and they cut the front panels from different denim rolls than the back panels. Other brands might cut all pieces from the same roll and thus the difference is not as striking.

In fact it's strange not to cut the front and back part in the same roll. I've never noticed this on other denim either.

  12. I gave my Fullcount 1101 a first wash, after wearing it about 4 times a week for 4 months.
Measurements after hot wash at 40 degrees (W31 L32)
     Waist: 41cm
    Front rise: 28 cm
    Back rise: 40.5
    Thigh (top): 31 cm
    Inseam: 78.5 cm
    Leg opening: 20.5 cm

Thanks @blooming  I found a pair of 221 in W32 L32 last night and pulled the trigger :)

My 220 was in w32 L30. It fits great length wise with one fold but I haven’t washed it yet.  Trust it will be okay without fold after shrinkage?

I hope the L32 in 221 will not be too long after shrinkage with one fold.

I am cheap. I always think the hemming is costly compared to the cost of the whole jeans 🤷‍♂️

@obama Hello, What size did you wear in Fullcount 1101 (new coupe) and Resolute 710?

  14. @beautiful_FrEaK

Hello, regarding the difference in color between the front and rear panel on my lot 221 I got this response from WH:
"These jeans use rope-dyed denim using indigo dye. Therefore, the color may be slightly different depending on the lot of fabric."
I wonder if this was the case in Hayashi's time.

It helps. Thanks again.  Is your 1101 the old cut?

I am wearing w32 for 221. How about yours?  Do you notice any major difference in fit compared to the 1101?

    Hello,

My Fullcount 1101 is the new model, the 30 year old one, with the bows. It's a W31 and my Denime 221 is a W32. The cut is quite different, the 221 is more high waisted at the front, the leg is tighter from the knees. Have you done a first wash on your 221?

I don't think I posted full measurements, but I found that they took about two washes to get all of the shrink out. The dryer helped as well, but not as much as I would have originally thought @CharlieMike. If I bought a second pair of these, I'd go one size down since they are slightly bigger in the waist/hips than I'd like. My pair is size 31, and the waist measures about 31.5 after 2 hot washes and a run through the dryer, if that helps.

@blooming  Thank you so much. I'm going to wait until the second wash before trying the dryer. Does your 221 also have a difference in blue between the front and rear panel?

@81FXR I moved you post to the right spot.

I can say that the 15.5oz denim is a real slow fader. Your 13.7oz will feel like a fast fader in comparison. The heaver denim has also more character in terms of slub and nep.

@beautiful_FrEaK  Are you saying the 15.5 oz fades slower than the 13.7 oz? I wore my FC 13.7 oz for over 2 months and in comparison my Denime 221 seemed to fade faster after only 2 weeks.

Thanks mate. Good to know. I am also look for a 1101. I am 33 in SC and 36 in Resolute 710. Denime I am 34 (with some room). Was thinking between W32/W33 for the old 1101.  Probably I should get the W32/W31.

@obama  Hello If it helps, my Fullcount 1101 indigo 13.7 oz (W31) measures 42.5 cm at the waist after wearing it for about 2 months. It measured 40.5 cm when purchased. I bought the 1103 at the beginning but I sold it, the proportion of the 1101 suited me better and the leg opening is 21 cm for a W31 which is not very wide. I'm super happy with it, I haven't washed it yet. Right now I'm rotating with my Denime 221 which seems to be fading faster.
