@beautiful_FrEaK I find this very intriguing 🕵️♀️

Do you know if the shrinkage of batch 221 increases with the number of washes? I'm hesitant to put it in the dryer... does that shrink it a lot? Do you recommend putting it inside out or right side up in the dryer?

Inseam: 84 cm / 78.5 cm / 79 cm

@obamaFullcount's fabric stretches quite a bit and fits true to size, it's best to take it slightly snug at the waist and in 3 days it should be perfect.

@obamaI usually wear W33 in Japanese jeans, except Denime W32. For Fullcount I wear W31 for the 1101 indigo however I just bought the Fullcount 1101 bkbk, the W31 was too small, I exchanged it for a W32. I was looking for black jeans and the 1101 bkbk is really nice.

Thank you for your opinion, I'm going to order the 714, it's a good excuse because I don't have any WW2 jeans in my collection. And I have the impression that this Resolute model may be better suited to Westerners. And what's more, the waist is high (I found the 711 too low). I'm ordering!

Je n'ai pas encore lavé ma paire. J'ai le L34 et ils mesurent 32,3" en ce moment. Je m'attends à ce qu'ils rétrécissent d'au moins 0,5" de plus.
Thanks, I think the L34 will be better for me.

Thanks for your advices. I will probably buy the 714, I may get some discoloration of the closure buttons. I think the cut will be similar to my FC 1101s but I don't have a WWI model in my collection, that's a good excuse lol. @beautiful_FrEaK Has your 714 reduced in length after machine washing? I'm hesitating between L32 and L34.

If you need more room in the 710 and still like a tapered silhouette, the 714 is a good choice IMO. It has more room up top (even a tad higher rise than the 710, at least in the front) and still has a subtle taper to look more fitted than the 711.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I'm talking about the new 1101. I have the 30 year old model (with red arcs and tabs). It’s true that the difference between the front and back sizes of the jeans is high (12 cm for a W31). Do you know if there is a historical reference to this? I wear a 31 in Fullcount and usually a 33 in Resolute. Maybe the 714 in 32 would suit me…

Looking back now, I think the “new” cuts from Fullcount are really good. they are perfectly successful and adapt very well to Western physiques. The 1101 is perfect, although similar to the WH 1001 it is more modern and better balanced in my opinion. For the fabric I recommend the 13.7 oz, the Japanese only wear 13.7 oz, the 15.5 oz was designed to fill a niche in my opinion, the blue is also more beautiful on the 13.7, the 15.5 tends towards black. For the story of the bows and the red tab I was able to obtain the 1101 of the 30 years :). However, I have a question: have you noticed the difference in height between the front and the back on the 1101 (+12 cm for a size 31)? Is this something that was found on the 501 XX? I haven't found any other jeans with this feature.

I'm hesitant to buy the 714. I really like Resolute but the 710 is too narrow for me at the top and 711 is too low waisted. The measurements of the 714 resemble the Fullcount 1101. Does anyone own the 714 and the 1101 to compare the 2 cuts? Are you satisfied with the 714?

Ok thank you. This is one thing I really like about Resolute.

@beautiful_FrEaK I also noticed that the TCB 50s and 60s had this particularity ↘︎↗︎↗︎↘︎ of the direction of the twill. This is probably why the train tracks are so marked on the resolute. Did you have with your 220 a strong marking of the buttonhole like on the Resolute? Do you know how to get this?

I received my Lot 221, in length 30, which corresponds to a length 33 before washing. I noticed something interesting, the direction of the twill is opposite on the white part of the selvedge. As on my Resolute 710, the same for lot 220. On my Levis 501 the twill is in the same direction. Do you have any information on this particularity? I made a diagram.

Do you think there will be a big difference between WH 1101 (1970 BigE) and the Denime 221?

Now I am in my new WH 1000XX DSB 11 days and I think that would be worthwhile to present how they stretch ten days after initial wash.
Taged size W33/L32
raw/after initial wash/after 10 days (all in cm)
waist 91/86/89
front rise 33,5/31/31,5
back rise 44,5/41,5/43
thigh 33/31/32
knee 25/24/24,5
inseam 89,5/82/83
hem 23/22/22,5 ??????
Thank you, this is very useful information. How do you measure size? With the front and back aligned?

I am very happy with lot 221. I recommend it to people who like the Resolute 710 but find that it lacks a little room in the thighs and hips, it is also a little higher cut which I like.
