  1. Here's one more post with some better lighting. These show the actual color more clearly. The 50s jeans I'm wearing are about a month old, and there have been no washes, so both of these are pretty close to their original color, plus a bit of fading. The 30s denim is super, super dark to start. It almost reminds me of SDA 100 denim in its hand feel and color. It is fading somewhat quickly, which the pictures can't show, especially compared to my Full Count type 2, which is almost 2 years in and is taking its time.
  2. Some detail shots of the 30s jacket. I'm super happy with the fit and material. I've been trying to get as much wear as possible every day for at least some length of time. The last shot is a close-up of the 50s and 30s together.
  3. Size 42 30s jacket, size 32 50s jeans.
  4. I ignore the hype, release cycle, and webshops and simply enjoy what I own. Saying that Warehouse "ruined" Denime because they are releasing a variety of iterations of the products in a short time period is a pretty narrow definition of "ruined," IMO.
  5. I spent all day yesterday in my 0105s, and yeah, they are easily the most comfortable pair of jeans I own.
  6. If we're talking about TCB- Withered Fig and Franklin and Poe still stock them, I believe. Edit: Franklin and Poe does not, unsure why I thought they did 😅
  7. That is some beautiful marbling, @smoothsailor
  8. Confirming that yes they still do, and you can order through whatever their built-in proxy service is... From Japan iirc Edit: meant to add that I ordered a pair of 0105's as recently as last month at domestic prices.
  9. Very much the same for me. I tried the RW Williams Craftsman as my first Chelsea, and even in their widest width, I found them a bit too narrow, both aesthetically and in fit. I think others here have given some good recs. Also, Blundstone's "Dress" boot is actually not dressy and pretty nice looking if you just want something casual that you don't need to worry about.
  10. Keep with them. That cut will look great on you once the denim is broken in. Trust the process.
  11. Once you go laceless, it's hard to look back. Lofgrens are definitely on the higher end of the price range for Chelseas, and they are a bit overbuilt, kinda like an engineer boot with a shorter ankle and no strap. I also really like the RM WIlliams Turnout boot if you want something a bit sleeker and also about half the price.
  12. Freshly conditioned Lofgren Chelsea boots. These have been my daily footwear since last December, and will likely remain that way. The only thing I don't do in them is play drums, because the pedals chew up the toe area. Learned that lesson on a pair of IR's a long time ago
  13. I have my black 1108s that I should wear more often. Black to grey fades look sooooo good.
  14. I think the fit on those black 505s is perfect! They definitely give off a 90s hardcore punk vibe with the slimmer fit.
  15. They start off a little stiffer than FC, which softens up during its first wear. Give the 50s about a week and they'll start to feel similar to the FC denim.
  16. I wore 14oz UES denim plus their traveling shirt every day through a 2 week trip to Vietnam and yeah, that’s the vibe. You get sweaty but there’s something satisfying about it lol
  17. Warehouse tee, FC belt, TCB 50s
  18. I think this will work perfectly. They will definitely stretch a few cm in the waist if needed, but overall its a very forgiving fabric/cut. Let us know how it works out!
  19. If it helps- I am 6' and 160lbs, and I wear size 31 in FC 0105, and size 32 in TCB 50s. I could also size up to 33 in TCB 50s and be comfortable with the looser fit. I'd guess that you would fit into 34 pretty well if you're going for an intentionally looser fit.
  20. Some close up comparison of the 30s jacket and 50s jeans. The 30s denim starts off super rigid but is breaking in pretty quickly. I've been wearing it almost all day, every day for the last couple of weeks, and it's shedding indigo dye from the sleeves all over the counter where I sit to work 😆
  21. My size 40 Full Count type-2 has wider measurements everywhere but the length than my size 42 TCB 30s. I'd say TCB's type 1, 2 and 3 jackets tend to fit a bit smaller for their size than other brands.
  22. I always keep a Zippo in my coin pocket, so the only fades I ever see there are a high contrast rectangle 😆
  23. Yeah, that's kinda just the case for FC jeans. I feel like maybe the pockets on my 1108XX (15.5oz) pair are slightly bigger, but the rest of my FC pairs in the standard denim have somewhat shallow pockets.
