You are really fond of an item/piece and after you bought it you don't really know how it will fit into your usual wardrobe? I feel like I'm doing this mistake quite often, just look at the single item without matching it to the rest of my clothes. For example is the recent purchase of my Paul Sargent Veldtschoen boots: I love everything about them but then I don't know how good they really work with just jeans and a t-shirt or sweater...

Been thinking the same thing for a while now, but a bit of different stuff every once in a while keeps it fun for me. Sometimes I like to dress like a slob in holey jeans, torn shoes and an old comfy sweater, sometimes I like to dress it up a bit, with a crisp shirt, new-ish jeans and nice shoes. But for the most part it's a clean pair of jeans a t-shirt, depending on the weather a random flannel or chambray shirt on top.
So a bit of variation is key for me, but the usual wardrobe is kind off inbetween my nice and sloppy look. Doesn't hurt to experiment a bit, imo, maybe it leads to something cool.

  2. These aren't as durable, as they were once built, it seems.
I got about 4 weeks/1 months of wear on them, got them DS a few years ago.
Threads on the right back pocket are already popping in places, plus a hole is forming on the bottom of it.
Thread start breaking beside the crotch-bartack, plus a hole is forming in the crotch.
All in all comfy and cool jeans, though.

  3. fit on the white canes. slimmer than the wool-mix-ones I got.
Thighs just work out, else they are great. Hope they stretch a bit in that area, but let's see. Else they are great :)

  4. these finally came around :)

According to PSAs Website they only got sold one-wash, even though they've been labelled raw. Only found them at PSA online, aswell, so this is the only info I have.
Judging from the cardboard patch these are once washed, would explain the bit of puckering on the seams.
Now just to hoping the inseam might shrink up an inch more and they are perfect for summer :)

  5. while we are on coffee again.

    baratza encore electric coffee grinder

the do it all electric grinder we got. hand grinding is a bit of a hassle, especially in the morning, so this comes in very handy.

  6. Can't compete with @Duke Mantee, but still...
Made two belts today, natural buffalo on the first 3, last pic of it is post-oiling. Finished up this order for a friend after some time.
Last picture is my new "fancy" belt, for wearing with suits and the likes.

  7. Not sure about this jacket, sleeves seem a little long, but else it fits well imo. 'Nuff room for layering in winter, nice buffalo-plaid black/green lining in the body, raglan sleeves, lamb nappa, great price.
    What do y'all think?

  8. Got these SC40105Fs recently/about 1,5 months ago through yahoo auctions, finally got around to posting them.
Pocket bags in the front are gorgeous selvedge fabric, backpockets are lined with the same fabric.
Lightweight chambray fabric, sized up a bit in accomodation for the inevitable gut and summer heat in Freiburg.
They are a bit long at 34", thinking of getting them hemmed some day before I start wearing these, if I come around to a place doing it well, not to keen on shipping them across the country for a hemjob I could do myself with my grannys old Singer, but I wouldn't get that sweet roping...
