I'd love an old Datejust. Must get round to buying one in the next year

The 36mm size is great and comfortable.

A 1601 on an alligator or lizard strap will probably be my next watch after awhile I think.

Post some measurements and a fit pic if you can.

Some measurements, and a very bad fit pick. No one is home and i have to get ready for work tomorrow, no regrets lol. They need a hem, aren't missing much from the knee down fit wise. I can't seem to find a good way to photograph my backside  (is that a good or bad thing?) Anyways...

    Pre-Soak, Size 34

    Waist - 34

    Thigh (At Crotch) - 12.6

    Front Rise - 11 ish

    Back Rise - 15.7 ish

    Knee (13 inches down) - 10

    Hem - 9.5

    Inseam - 36

    Post Soak (Wash)

    Waist - 16
    Front Rise - 10.5
    Back Rise - 14.5
    Thigh (At Crotch) - 12.25
    Knee (13 inches down) - 9.5
    Hem - 8.75
    Inseam - 33

They are very comfortable. Tons of hip room, I'm tempted to wear and wash these like normal mall jeans.

Will do, they are drying now. One hot wash, the inseam shrank 3 inches, the waist two inches. I will post rest tomorrow when I can properly measure them.

Nice pick-up! They don't have the twice sewn front pocket openings and back pockets, do they?

No, single stitching I believe from the description. I'm going to wash them this afternoon.

Thats what I've heard too...would be a pain to have to dry clean.

That shirt is beautiful, that's really why I'm asking.

Your new 3005's look nice...glad to see they are doing the old arcs again.  Hope they do their other models too.

Thanks, I wish 2nd had better translations, but from what I gather it's a special run, and maybe just for them?

Inseam is 36 on the nose so definitely not designed for the western market I would say. After I wash them I'm expecting 32.5 ish which is good for me.

All they need is a red tab now I suppose.

How does everyone care for/clean their rayon shirts?

I always thought they were dry clean only, but that is what Sun Surf recommends so I'm not sure.

The new black FH rayon is a beauty.

Does anyone have measurements for a fully shrunk size 34 727 or 714?

I have fully shrunk/post wear stretch on my size 32, if that will maybe help you gauge or scale up.

SOC.com has one wash measurements, as does Cultizm if you email them.

Alright, thanks for the info. I’ll defintely have to ask more questions at SE since I need a 33 waist with 12.2-12.4 in the thigh.

The waist runs a bit large on my size 32 in the 727 fit. Nothing a belt doesn't fix. Kiya and Self Edge will point you in the right direction, they designed the fit too.

For anyone who has the 714 cut, how much shrinkage did you experience? I am stuck between getting the 31 and 32. I was going to purchase in-store at SESF since I haven't bought from them in a couple years but I figured I would ask here as well.

I recently hot washed a new pair of 727's that are made from the same denim and got near .5 inches in the thigh and knee, and right around 2.7 inches on the inseam. The waist shrunk near 1.5 inches but very quickly loosened back up.

I've read the denim can take a few soaks or washes to completely shrink.

    Curious about this too!

I've had a look at the the 320 Jacksons in-store before and the fabric is beautiful - really dark and inky in color - but I wasn't brave enough given that I really have no sense of what Stevenson's sanforized denim ages like...

This is about all I could find searching everywhere, hopefully the Instagram link works. I would say they age very very nicely. Can't believe their sanforized.

  11. The stitching around the pockets is a thing of beauty. The pocket fabric is cool looking too.

Then again Kiya mentioned a new model later this year in the 727 and 714 fit. I have not found myself enjoying small leg openings lately though and wouldn't want to go under 8 inches. Hard call.

  12. Reddit seems to favor crazy, textured denim from what I've noticed as well. I was like this when I first started as well.

The jeans I have been wearing all are normal looking in comparison and lighter in weight. Seems that's a common thing on Superfuture as well, with most favoring relatively normal appearing denim.

  13. Button fly seam seems to be unraveling. I'm on the waitlist for Indigo Proof, thinking about wearing these until I'm next in line. Stitching seems fine on the interior, hard call.

Yep... flat head and rjb denim (and everything else) just have no equal in my eyes. And thanks! Although RJB might edge out flat head because holy shit is the denim so stretchy and comfortable.

Which specific denim is the stretchy and comfortable One?

I've never felt or seen RJB but it's on my radar now.

Thinking of picking up a pair of 301s this weekend: whats the general consensus on shrinkage/stretching and sizing? Looking for a slimmer fit and want to nail the fit dead on..thanks ahead of time!

The 21oz stretches a ton, not sure about the other denim types Self Edge offers in the 301 fit.

I sized down on mine and am glad I did.

thank you, myself I want to go for size 32 but kyle (selfedge)

says: i should go for size 33 because this pair shrinks a lot, and it is hard to stretch

I never thought I could go for size 33 @@!

You're welcome. I reccomend the 32 because I had the 1001 and the 3001 both in the same size.

I sold that 1001 and now wear 3001. The 1001 uses the same denim as the 1002, and shrunk less with a hot wash compared to my 3001 Pioneer denim.

This is also a different cut than the 1002 you are looking to get, but is the same denim.

Which size you choose depends on how tight you want the pair to fit. But my pair stretched back to raw in waist fairly easily.

No matter what you do I recommend a hot wash as Ben mentioned above and a good comparison of online measurements with what you currently wear.

  17. Get a 32 I think is my guess.

The 16oz denim doesn't shrink as much and will stretch where you need it to. Look up measurements of the 1002 from retailers using Google to help you.

    Good luck.
