  1. Hoping I get my 3001's back sometime this week. They are off for a hem. With all the brands and models I've gotten over the years, these are probably going to be my favorites once I get some age on them. After their first wash I'll probably wash them monthly and see what happens.

I wish Flat Head still made more Native inspired pieces, they are normally some of the best stuff I think.

    I'm used to it...

What I find really funny is that any time I have something that says flat head, I'll get questions on it. I would think that if someone saw that they would just assume its some random brand but people always wonder. Personally, if I see someone's clothes with writing on it and I don't recognize it I assume its a brand and leave it at that...

I would get annoyed real quick with questions about my things  (or a banter like that). It's still really cool.

The only other person that knows about the brands I enjoy is my girlfriend. Hoping to keep it that way. I've noticed people tend to ask "how much?" if they see something they like/don't know clothing wise.

"You're wearing $545 in just jeans and a shirt? Are you crazy?! How much was that wallet?"...

  3. This thing is ridiculous in all the right ways. Not everyone's cup of tea but I think this belt is so cool. HTC with Self Edge. Stingray inlays, leather feels nice. Kind of like wearing a thinner belt after years of wearing thicker ones.

  4. I've had that happen on my FH button holes before. I wouldn't worry. Same thing with the small irregularity on the fabric in the other shot.

As far as the fly I'm interested in what others have to say. I have extra fabric that looks like it wasn't completely cut off on my one pairs along the rear rise. No cotton strands are coming off it though.

  5. I looked up some fade examples and some are just gorgeous.

I want to wear my 3001's hard though and for awhile. I like the fit a lot and the denim so I'm holding off on new denim awhile I think. Finally nailed the sizing with the Pioneer denim as well.

I'm off to scout out the RJB thread though.

How do the 3005's look these days?

  6. Agitation. Agiatate the denim either inside out in warm water by hand (like really get after it) or use a machine and wash inside out on warm.

The denim shrinks a very large amount but the waist will go back to presoak.

  7. An old flannel 2nd happened to have in stock, from 2016 maybe?

The "3 tabs for breakfast" one Self Edge had awhile back. Always liked that pattern, hoping it works out.

I also got a black Wild Child, pretty excited for that one. Was also thinking of getting a native check, but I'm going to wait a bit for that one.

It’s a great fit, very hard to find a rise close to 13 inches and yet not look like “dad jeans”. Do look into it.

I have no ass and small legs. "Relaxed" and high rise jeans are not my friend.

I basically need a lower rise and slimmer thigh even on my straight fits to look ok on me. I've grown tired of the carrot type jeans as well. Granted I've never even looked at the measurements for these simply going off the name.

  9. I was thinking of picking up a FH card holder off Self Edge once they restock the black ones.... or getting another Wild Child but this time in black.

I already have the other color Wild Child and have used it for years. It's an awesome piece. But the black one looks awesome too with the red lining. Wonder what the aging would be like on the black leather.

    Decisions decisions.

Can anyone refer me to a size chart other than SE.  Im looking for a slim straight model, with a higher rise. Not sure if Stevenson makes one.  767 looks great but most post mention the rise is kinda low..thanks

Rhino, on rakuten, will send measurements if they happen to have that model. They also don't charge Japan tax for oversea customers.

The hardness of water will drastically affect how stiff something is when it comes out of a soak or wash. Here in my current city the water is hard. We have filters on the sink tap for drinking and most new homes probably install a water softening unit for the house.

Stuff comes out of the wash stiff as a board, even knit t-shirts unless I spin dry it, and/or or use a softening agent in the wash/soak.

I can't wait to move to a city with soft water again, I hate hard water for washing!

I've never used soft water to wash any of my clothes ever, so I can't comment on that.

When I've been out of town for work, I couldn't stand soft water. It never felt like it got the soap off my hands when washing them or showering. I always felt slippery and thought it was weird.

Do you have presoak and post soak measurements? I'm interested in getting a pair of these one day...

They are a size 34, the chart on Rivet and Hide was %100 correct presoak. I had them hemmed to 34 inches before the soak. These measurements are fresh post soak, no wear.

    Waist - 16.25

    Front/Back Rise - 10, 13.25

    Thigh at crotch - 12

    Knee 13 inches down - 8.75

    Hem - 8.25

    Inseam - 31.5

I went through Rivet and Hide, their measurements are dead on. I will post measurements later today after I am home from work of the soaked pair.
