  1. diaper butt 101 buzz tcb redwing
  2. very teasing @MJF9 ... mouthwatering even... likely staying with 611 / 1937 probably in w.40, leg at 80cm [cuff if worn at hip, possible no cuff/micro cuff if hoisted up to true waist] - I think @Jared_Lee's reasoning is sound; most jeans get unworn because too small, not too big... if too big in long run, rather than tailoring I'll sew on waist buttons and get suspending early 30s style... diaper butt ftw but; yes, enjoying all the data! and welcoming the all-star judging panel! and welcome back the most glorious @volvo240thebest, @srudy and @dudewuttheheck and @CSL very glad you've squeaked in! and @UkeNo - no cuff no break lovely lovely
  3. most likely, I'll be going that route (late 30s in big waist for hip flare)... deposit sent congratulations @beautiful_FrEaK!!! make sure any visitors bring cooked meals and do the washing up for the next two weeks! get rest when you can so you can enjoy/endure the sleepless moments!
  4. working at home (flat is freezing) and trip to local supermarket (freezing with air con)!!! plus: any slim opportunity to layer is taken!!! (plus: prepping a/w teaching material goes hand in hand with prepping a/w fitz!)
  5. great comparison: def gets to the core subtle differences: appreciated! staying with the m-1951s… post overalls-tcb-vintage-timberland
  6. maths was never my strong point: carry on, whoopsie!!
  7. chefs kisses to @smoothsailor and @cultpop 0217 both: glorious in yr different minimalist/maximalist ways... and @MJF9 - I do love a mao suit... how do you find those fw double knees in comparison to the ooe / bandana ones?
  8. late to the party, but; my basic experience is that I stop wearing things that are too small, whereas those with a bit of give are a happy place... and the 50s are pretty strict in the top block...
  9. here is the tcb account of shinya - https://tcbjeans.myshopify.com/blogs/ニュース/shinya-mills certainly tcb's 50s fabric from there is one of my all time favourites... pretty sure their 'Boss of the Cat' overalls are from there too [really great fabric] any good experiences out there for kaihara? I had the eu made lvc 50s version from that mill; was pretty uniform, less weave-chattery [gave them to brother in law before seeing any real fades tho...]
  10. most excellent, cannot think of a more experienced and responsible duo with varied fit styles to help us all along! I was certainly thinking of going for a w40 as it seems all quite neat from the fits seen on insta and b_F's review; but will wait until denim is decided... In terms of denim choices: whichever is more 'wartime 40s' is my preference - any thoughts from those who know more? hoping for a 30s cut in such a 40s denim... [have a lot of shinya denim with various tcb pieces, but will probably lean to kaihara for variation: they are the Levis suppliers now?]
  11. textures day: post overalls, orslow, vintage m-1951
  12. excellent news on dates and denim: 18 months gives two autumn / winters and only one july/august (for those in northern hemisphere…) for example: 01 jan 2025-01 july 2026?
  13. repeating others: but best option imo is to have: the variables as cut and pizza arc the constants as WoM sourced denim (somewhere between 12-14oz pls…) and patch design… in terms of denim i would welcome what WoM can offer rather than a plethora of requests… givens the expressions of interest seems something appropriate to 40s and 50s is the most appropriate… and good luck with the upcoming nativity! hard to juggle two forms of nascence!!!
  14. imma in: either 30s or 40s… thanks for the organising @beautiful_FrEaK
  15. I like either wom/pizza and multi-maker '42 options [cos I luv a cinch]... ... 40s cut allows many participants and wondering what we get with eu maker with less focus on the fabric, more emphasis on the cut / pattern...
  16. failing to blend in as usual… tcb / vintage / r-mocs
  17. last one b4 actual wear kicks in, but fer good measure a presentation with suspenders and closed toes… tcb 1890s tux (crinklin’) / redwing
  18. thanks @MJF9! dismantling tux purity for other fitz… jc higgins for sears / tcb 1890 / birks & tcb 1890 x tcb cat boss overalls avec timberland
  19. rly rlly really nice @Sympathy-For-The-Denim been eyeballing 30s for so long but waiting for fades to get shared; top work; many thanks for sharing!
  20. [the curse of the double post time travelling me to 1892...]
  21. @Geeman I blame this slip on the giddy high of getting new shiny things in the post! I'll make sure not to repeat, or at least get both toes and bald pate covered more thoroughly... on another note; mis-clicked and went to my user profile: previous post hit my 1890-th post... a fortuitous sign for this tux...
  22. thanks @smoothsailor! & gnuk gnuk! sliders ftw! fwiw sliders and crocs are one of current trainer forms of london uk (along with a tide of on and hoka) but yes; this is by the apartment block communal bins; the truth is out! my trash looks are taken in an appropriate context!
  23. and finally, as the jacket pocket is the star of the show: a comparison between the s40s and the 1890s… (sleeves have fairly equal monster armpit hole…)
  24. and then a comparison if a few details between the lvc triple pleat (in xl) vs the 1890s (in 46); collar, pocket size/shape/finish and sleeve proportions…
