What is the difference between a 1003XX and a 1003SXX model? Thx!

The 1003SXX is like your typical jeans with WW2 detailing such as no rivets on the coin pocket, olive herringbone pocket bags, and laurel leaf buttons. The standard model has no arcs whatsoever, but the limited model of the 1003SXX is the one that has the painted Levi's arcs. I think you can consider the 1003XX to be a hybrid of the 1003SXX and 1001XX as it shares the same 14.5 oz denim and pocket bags as the 1003SXX, but also has the double-stitched arcs, coin pocket rivets, and regular Warehouse-branded buttons. I'm not too sure how their shapes differ from one another...

  2. I've only been there a few times, but I've found the customer service to be rather poor (borderline rude). The last time I went there was some time last year... Other people seem to have a good time there, so your mileage may vary.

  3. It's most likely the same denim as the regular DD-1003SXX considering they have the same lot number and year (1943). The pictures make them look like a different shade, but I think it's just the lighting. Too bad the arcs aren't solid in colour, but I understand why that may cause an issue... That western shirt looks rather nice as well.

On a slightly different note, does anyone know of they have any plans of restocking the DD-1004XX (1922 model)?

  4. I realise I haven't posted any pics of the jacket, but it's starting to develop some fading.

Also, my 711s (not pictured) are travelling along quite nicely. I think my second hot wash made the colour rather light, so fades are not obvious. I got the size 32/32, which in hindsight is a bit too short for winter boots, but they're great for sneakers. I'm thinking about grabbing a size 32/36 for the colder weather! By the way, the back rise stretches a fair amount, so to those looking at online measurements, don't be too worried!

  5. I've recently been into brands such as John Lofgren, Moto, and Alden, but these Red Wings caught my eye. They're the 1930s Sport Oxford, and they're probably the most attractive shoe I've seen from them in a while. The black version is the 8070, and the brown is the 8071.

    I may need to cop.

  6. Posted this in the LVC thread, but thought I'd post this here as well. I'm no longer wearing these daily, but rather 3-4 times a week. Probably means I won't need to wash them too frequently! The seam puckering and roping are surprisingly nice.

  7. @Maynard Friedman My immediate response is to say the 1966 jeans. I think the denim is more comfortable to wear when the weather is hot, and I like the lighter colour. The fact that I haven't worn my 1976 jeans in a while may have also influenced this decision haha!

@bod So far, they feel the same fit-wise. They're a little bit tight, but they don't feel any tighter than after its previous wash (machine with no dryer). I might measure the inseam later to see if it has gotten shorter, but what I have noticed is that the left leg has twisted a bit more; at times, the outseam is very close to the centre of my knee!

  8. Washed my 1966 jeans again and did a tumble dry. They're quite light in colour, and I'm aiming for some low contrast fades that are vintage-esque. For the last month, I've only been wearing them around 3-4 times a week.

  9. Very nice jacket, and the fit is great on you. I really like the details of the triple pleat, and I may need to look for another one since I feel like my LVC jacket is a bit too tight. Although the buttons are just standard looking laurel leaf ones, no doubt that are of better quality than the ones found on the LVC version.

  10. As requested, here are some fit pictures with my sweatshirt pulled up so you can see where they sit. I'm really happy with how loose these jeans are, and I ended up doing an extra wash + tumble dry before wearing them. The left leg's outseam twisted a little more and the roping is more pronounced, but I have yet to do post-wash measurements (so I'm unsure if they've shrunken more). The length is typically shorter than most of my jeans, but I kinda wanted a loose-fitting pair where I could do a small single cuff with sneakers.

Very good fit on that jeans. On me they look much wider due to my fat waist. I'm 184, also wear a 34 inseam and mine has more break. Either you have superlong legs or the inseam just kept on shrinking. After a very hot and long soak and a cold wash my inseam is now at 79 cm.

Can you measure the inseam, please?

Hey mate, I measured the inseam, and it's about 78cm. There is probably less stacking on my pair because long legs + mid rise + hiking up my pants = less break.

  12. Oh yeah, here are some extra photos of the colour of my '76s. It was definitely a sunny day, so the denim is not actually that light in-person. I need to get some repairs done as the inseam near the hem is coming undone from constant cuffing + friction. Also the crotch could do with a bit of a reinforcement. I've been hearing some people saying that the raw measurements are on the smaller side, but I didn't find that that was the case with mine. However, if I were to get another pair, I'd go with maybe a 32/34 or 33/34 just because I like looser fits these days.

@ushokmwn I'll measure the inseam tonight for you. I do have long legs for my height, and the following picture was me in my prime.

  13. Some have requested fit pictures of me in my '76s, so here they are. Sorry for the bad lighting, but hopefully you get the general idea. I am approximately 170cm/72kg, and am wearing a size 31/34. My first time wearing these since like September of 2017. (Yes, I'm wearing Crocs haha)

They do have a international site where all things should be translated into English.

But if I see that correctly it's about a stamp on the leather patch. Choose the first option you have posted.

Yeah, I went on the international site where it was already translated, but I couldn't understand what it was referring to... Ended up trying the Japanese site and using other online translators to see if it came up with something I could understand. It ended up saying the following on global Rakuten:

デニム永久保障の要不要 = Unnecessary of the denim eternal security required

付けない(BEARS '印を押さない)= I do not attach it (I do not push the BEARS' mark)

付ける(BEARS '印を押す)= Attach (I push the BEARS' mark)

I guess I'll choose the first option, so thanks for your input!

  15. Does anyone know how to read Japanese because I'm trying to purchase something from Bears on Rakuten, and I don't know what option to choose in the dropdown box.

    Here is the question thingo:

    デニム永久保障の要不要

And these are the two options you can choose from:

    付けない(BEARS '印を押さない)

    付ける(BEARS '印を押す)

I tried using Google translate and other online translators, but I still don't know what they mean haha Anyone able to help out?

Wow, almost 1cm discrepancy in the same size is a helluva lot if you ask me. Shame on you, Levi's quality control.

Not sure if this is supposed to be sarcasm because I'm pretty sure that a little variance in the same size is within tolerance.
