Can someone convince Roy to make more shirts hehe

For those wondering, I own the 711 (32/32) and recently purchased the 710 (33/33). Here's the comparison of measurements fresh from the mailbag. They were both one-wash.
711 OW - size 32/32
Waist 40cm
Front rise 27.75cm
Back rise 37cm
Thigh 32.75cm
Knee 24.75cm
Hem 22.5cm
Inseam 76cm710 OW - size 33/33
Waist 40cm
Front rise 28cm
Back rise 38cm
Thigh 30.5cm
Knee 21.5cm
Hem 19.25cm
Inseam 78cmStill busy af, so haven't taken any pictures of me wearing both. Maybe I'll have time tomorrow morning... Also, the rise of the 711 stretched a bit but don't have proper measurements on hand. I'll update y'all on the worn-in measurements soon.
In terms of proportion, it's hard for me to say... The 711 might seem disproportionate because it's based on the kid's version of the '50s 501 which must have had different proportions compared to the adult version (I believe that's because Hayashi-san determined that the adult 501 was not suitable for Japanese body shapes whereas the kid's one was). If my 711 had thighs, knees, and hems that were around 1cm to 1.5cm smaller, then it would be similar to my LVC '66 cut. I guess the 710 looks more proportionate as a slim jean but that could be quite subjective.
The denim is different as well. Off the top of my head, I can't say how, but can also update later.

I have been wearing my 710 for a few days now. They're the one-wash version, but I reckon I might chuck them in the washing machine and dryer to soften them up. I've been busy so I'll take some pics over the weekend.

Quick question... Have any of you sold things via Instagram (e.g. through your stories/posts)? Any luck?
I got a heap of things I want to sell. I went back onto Grailed then got discouraged by the amount of lowballing and how slow/old the site is.

Nice! What is your washing method? Do you throw them in the dryer?
Yep, I machine wash (with spin cycle) and straight into the dryer afterwards. Depending on what I'm feeling at the time, it could either be a cold or hot wash! Nothing too special, really haha

Force them to do a longer inseam and you might have more people on board
But I agree, that would be something nice
Was just about to say this. I'm pretty short myself, but Boncoura's inseams are pree damn short haha

'40s contest seems to be the most popular! That would also be my vote although I'm unsure whether I'd participate. I suffer from severe commitment issues when it comes to wearing one pair of jeans haha I think I've bowed out of every comp so far

Mhh...I don't know any Australian retailers of Resolute.
As far as I know, in the past Hayashi also signed jeans that were sold online if he visits the store. I think this was available with Bears. If you order from Zabou it would be worth a try.
Buy both, for slim days and fat daysLol yeah that was probably me you're remembering because my 711s were signed by him when he went to Bears. These days, it feels like it every day has been a fat day haha
Also, this is my 711 from the front

Where are you located? Any local or domestic shops were you can buy both pairs and see which fits better?
I'm from Australia, but no shops that I know of stock Resolute otherwise I'd give them a try. Been doing a bit of reading though, and I reckon the bigger size will be the safest option...
Side note Zabou Tokyo is having their Resolute Fair over the next week. Hayashi-san will be there on the 16th and 17th so I wonder whether he'll be doing any jeans signing.

No I wear size 36 nowadays.
But I always buy them one-wash so they are smaller and look better from the get go than the raw pairs which need more time to shrink down.
Size 34 is too tight in the thighs and also hip area is a bit restricting. If I would let them raw or only cold wash it could work....but I rather wash Resolute regularly and warmThanks for the info! I've been flip-flopping with size. Was first thinking 33 then 32 and now I think 33

Many thanks, guys. I guess I've been considering it to be short because I'm used to cuffing my straighter/wider leg jeans. I'll try to take some pics with me wearing shoes (and some detail shots)
@beautiful_FrEaK Are you still a size 34 in the 710?

Just a quick poopoo picture of my 711 jeans (I'll take some more/better photos tomorrow). I've only started to wear them again in the past month. Washed a couple of times as well. By the way, the back rise stretched from 37cm to 40cm (size 32) which was a nice surprise.
Still haven't pulled the trigger on the 710...

Oops sorry for terrible pictures no leg twist though
Nice fit, but what do the seams look like when laid flat..? With more washing and tumble drying, I think it'll eventually develop a bit of leg twist. Maybe not as much as others though... I guess time will tell

Oh yeah, here's pics of my '76s. Haven't worn them in a long time, mostly because I need to fix the inseam around the hem as well as reinforce some of the fabric around the seat. I kinda hate the phone and wallet fade that developed, which is why I no longer sit with my phone in my pocket (to avoid the sharp corners rubbing too much) and use a "normal" bifold wallet sans concho.
