  1. Be careful. Veilance runs small, like a full size. For an Acrnm jacket that has room for an insulator, more like  2 sizes.

I’ve never been able to fit into an XL Veilance field jacket, but with my J56-s I was able to go down a size to a L since I never wear anything but a button down underneath. Probably my favorite jacket.

The cargo pockets of the p37 are soo sleek. I wanted the p31 real bad but being totally honest I wasn’t blown away, as much, with the p31a-ds pictures.

P31's are so sweet. Plus not-black ds.

  3. Have both 31 & 33.

P31's have a downward facing C shape with a ankle crop. Kinda like kung fu beachcombers.

P33's are a more formal-suit cut. Straight and a little slouchy. Actually wore them in lieu of a pair of improperly sized rent-a-tux pants and got told how great I looked that night.

Two best pair of pants I ever owned.

never understood e's obsession with stotz. it's no good in the rain, takes forever to dry, fades, tears and discolors like nobody's business, feels restrictive and doesn't breathe well. it's only redeeming quality is the nice suede-y surface patina it develops.

Don't discount it being available in not-black.

  5. There has to be some acknowledgment of the fact that ACRNM has been around for years now, and some of us simply have enough stuff.

I mean,  I’ve got enough pants to last a lifetime at this point. I did buy P33’s previous drop, liked ‘em so much I copped another. So what else? Maybe a cool pair of shorts if and when they get a release?

And as for jackets, how many hardshells does one person need? As I said before, I have not bought a jacket for a couple of years now, and I just don’t see how that is going to change. It’s going to have to be a really special piece if I’m going to spend 2K dollars just to add another coat to the collection.

Or my continuing dream of a ACRNM blazer.

the nyco voronois are garbage for all the above reasons but the all nylon voronois are my favourite pants. they are not as articulated as P10's but they fit great and their range of motion is fine.

Plus you can dress them up. P10's look too ninja for anything but casual wear.

Like the rise on the Voronois better too.

  7. Was just chatting with Matthijs from Byborre about the Adidas/Byborre True Color colab. It was just an R&D project, but such interest has been shown that they are considering bringing it to life.

In any case the FW20 collection will be incorporating True Color as part of their sustainability initiatives.

Even though I like it all personally, doesn’t feel like there was/is a killer piece this season that would generate enough excitement to sell out. People probably bought the P10s as they were the cheapest pant in a while (and a versatile staple without the A). If they had released a white J1A that would probably have flown out. Maybe J84 will be exclusive to acrnm.com ...

agreed. im personally saving my money for upgraded variations of older pieces or completely new designs.

It’s been like 2 years?! since I last copped a jacket. Would have bought a J44-sd if it had black zips, bummed I slept on the J72-ds, especially in black, don’t think J84-s is enough of an upgrade for me to replace my J58-s….

So what jackets are folks pining for most?

  9. My personal theory is that delam is caused by overly acidic sweat, not the oil content.  Extra stinky armpits when working out or burning holes in the chest or back of a T-shirt are indicators that your sweat pH is closer to 4 than 7 (neutral). Since it can be caused by too frequent exercise it can be a problem for the highly trained athlete.  Remember PTFE (GORE-TEX) is nothing more than Teflon, and it really doesn’t want to stick to ANYTHING, not just a jackets face fabric.

Gore has never officially acknowledged there is a problem.

But wearing a shell when it’s 40° and sunny makes me so much more Xteme!

    Any love on J44-SD?

Silver zip is ugly/too Gothy. Not fond of non-RAF green either.

For a company that made it’s name on it’s jackets, I spend a lot more money on the pants.

You'll probably be fine with a M,  but size based on your height.

But yeah, to @piece keeper's point, the measurements are on the site.

I'm a 36" waist/6' tall and sizing down to a L from my usual XL worked out perfectly. I would be hesitant to go down to a M unless I could try them on first.

  12. It's because it's a wetsuit/jacket hybrid!

Back zips actually make sense in a real wetsuit. Easier to get over your shoulders, less cold water flush on your chest, you don't lay on the zip if you are on a board...
