Damn, that's horrible. I haven't seen anything this season I want. Hope the NikeLab drop is good.

It's like a p24 meets a hot topic german cyber goth.

P24's are my jam. Guess I'm in the market for some XL's.

  2. Wish the shorts came in Olive. It looks like they may have brought back the ass cheek cell phone pocket from the first ACG collection.

Best cell pocket ever. Actually I like my ACG cargos better than my P10's.

  3. I find the original SFB sole to be more flexible and comfy than the updated version. But the updated has a deeper, more aggressive lug pattern so it's a tradeoff.

I know everyone here seems to think the Hoka Tor Mid looks clunky, but I don't think they're bad on foot, and they're pretty much the most comfy boot I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of boots. I also have had good luck with Merrell boots, thinking about picking up a pair of the new Moab's for this winter.

To be honest, I've hiked in Nike Free runs with no issues, love light fast footwear.

  4. Thanks again to Zork and Carlooa for the tips on the J63. A L would not have fit my shoulders and Idol did indeed have a XL for me to purchase.

I can see this jacket replacing a few of my other transitional weather jackets, namely my J47, a TAD soft-shell, and a fleece hoody. The color was as I had hoped and is more of an Olive/Brown/Grey than a true Black. It looks to pair well with my fave P24's in RAF. The softer drape and leather like sheen give it a dressier look than other rain gear; very appreciated.

  5. I sure hope there is a set of normal pants in the mix this season. Do not want Harem pants or Capris, no matter how hi-tek the fabric.

Also, can anyone comment on the fit of the J63-pb. The listed measurement for the chest seems quite generous, and I’m thinking a L could actually work instead of my usual XL.

  6. A subject near and dear too me. I’m an advocate of the wind shirt method: base layer, then a wind shirt to create a microclimate, topped off with insulation.

Most modern day insulation layers have enough DWR that you seldom need a hardshell (the most over rated garment in your wardrobe albeit the sexiest). In fact unless it’s really wet, I find most of my fleece jackets suffice.

As for boots, I prefer fast, light, and easy to dry rather than waterproofing that never holds out. Of course if you are in arctic conditions, or a climate that will actually give you frostbite, by all means opt for the most waterproof boot you can find. Otherwise, embrace the suck, wet feet won’t kill you, and an extra pair of sox is lighter than wet boots in the morning.

Wool > Synthetic. Camping hammocks rock. Life is better in the outdoors!

  7. Theres a dedicated page on the Rit Dye site w formulas for various colors. I modified the Moss Green recipe (vintage colors) w a little less green/more brown & black.

I'll try to remember to snap some pix when i get back from lake house vacation.

  8. I think the fleece is what was needed to give the proper heft to what seems to be a homage to a couple of classic leather jackets.

Seems like the backing also softens the hard creases seen on the unlined SHAKEDRY™ bike jackets, especially on the hood and sleeves, adding to the illusion.

Question for those who have seen the product. Pick a color. Black? Grey? Green?

A little more info on some upcoming ACR. Couldn't take photos (it'd be rude) consequently forgot all the damn model numbers and some pieces. : (

    See any shorts?

Been wearing my ACG cargo for a month now and they have become my favorite pair of pants. They are cut so much better than the p10, particularly in the seat area where the p10 have way, way too much fabric and don't provide a very flattering fit.

That’s good to know. It’s hard to imagine a better cell phone pocket than the one on the ACG’s, but I use up pants too fast to $pend on a pair of P10’s anyway.

And if you don’t like the Navy Blue-instead-of-Black Nike color way, I’ve had good success over dying last winters faded pairs to a true black using Rit Dye.

  11. ^^^^^

Thnx. Grabbed one of each color. We'll see which works. Maybe both!!

To my eyes the cargos look the exact same. The stylist just twisted the legs in the pix to make for a straighter leg & maybe show the zips. Mine will do that sometimes after action stuff. Ordered another pair.

Also there's a Chicago NikeLab store opening tmrw, exact location still ???? Rumors say within the Mich. Ave Niketown.

  12. What does everyone think of the ACG stuff?

Went in store earlier to see it and was slightly underwhelmed.

I liked the Alpine jacket but I'm not sure about spending £500 on it. The bomber doesn't arrive till tomorrow so I'll have to pop back for that.

The cargo's are nice, the shape seems really good but the black ones aren't black, more like a very dark blue. I don't know why Nike's trousers never actually come out black black

How does the green look? Specifically on the blazer.
