As today is Tuesday and 80s/90s film nite in our house - any suggestions/recommendations for a 10 and 12 year old? Batch ‘em up and send ‘em over...
I still appreciate Adventures in Babysitting. There are at least two bad words in it, which is probably the main reason it's PG-13. Not sure if your parenting style would allow that...

My wife and stepdaughter pulled some jigsaw puzzles out of the closet to pass the time during isolation. I took advantage of the Blue Owl spring sale to buy their puzzle. Their initial enthusiasm was quickly dampened upon realizing the difficulty of this one and I have pretty much been working on it myself. I guess to the untrained eye, not being able to distinguish things like fade patterns or indigo/white vs indigo/indigo denim could make this a little difficult.

I got a pair of black 710's a few years ago and they're one of my favorite pairs. I was recently thinking of posting a picture of them, but just saw @vgadjo's pair and realize I have a few years of wear to go...

Nevermind...just saw that the pictures have a full grown woman wearing it. I saw the "boys" in the product name and assumed it was for kids.

I would assume the top and bottom stitching would eventually unravel unless you took some sort of preventative measures.

What about the build quality on Toys McCoy's jeans? Not entirely clear on how or if the two companies are related, but I've considered getting a pair of their jeans since I am an engineer and the patch says "overalls for engineers".

Ziploc bags lol. Sorry mom, can't risk getting freezer burn on my jeans
I think the ziploc bags are required less to prevent freezer burn on the jeans, and more to protect your food from jeans that have not been washed in five years (with the exception of ocean washes, of course).

If you do the online chat with denimio, they can give you measurements of previous pairs they've shipped. They can give you measurements of the exact pair you'll get, but you may have to order first, then wait a week for them to receive the jeans in their office from their shipping location. Then you have a chance to cancel the order before they ship to you. That was the process I went through when I ordered my 60s from them.
You may want to make sure this is still their policy, but if you do the online chat and order the size they suggest, they will pay for return shipping to Japan if you need to exchange for a different size.

My size 34 pair was bought raw and I've just done hot bathtub soaks and washes. They don't really match with either set of measurements across the board. For what it's worth, here are mine measured with Blue Owl's method (raw/shrunk):
Waist 35.5/33.5
Thigh 13.75/13.25
Knee 10.25/9.5
Front Rise 11.75/11
Back Rise 15.75/14. 75
Inseam 36.25/33.5
Hem 8.5/8.253 -

Not sure if this is new or not, but I hadn't seen it. Samurai has a web store that appears to be international friendly. International prices, but it looks like they have a decent return/exchange policy, which you don't get from Rakuten.
Blue Owl is carrying some Samurai models now, also.

The door guy at a bar once offered me a bag of weed for the George Clinton t-shirt I was wearing. I turned him down.

@Pedro Just be sure to loosen the cinch back prior to any kung fu showdowns.

Do you know what caused the stain? If it's oil based, it may go away on its own. I was cooking once and didn't realize I had a glob of peanut butter on my boots that left an oil stain. A week later, the stain dissipated and I couldn't even see it. My stain wasn't nearly that big, however.

I wear a 35 in the 710 and 34 in the 60's. These are the pre/post wash measurements for my 60's. The waist has probably pretty much stretched back out to raw measurements.
If you are going to order from denimio, I'd recommend measuring your jeans and then doing an online chat with denimio. If you order the size they recommend and end up needing to exchange for a different size, they pay for return shipping. If you don't chat or go with a different size than they recommend, return shipping is on you.

M8 is right, except when I was shopping for a pair of 60's, denimio had a separate product page for the 60's, listed as 60's Old Version or something similar. These pairs had a much longer inseam than the current model and also had generic buttons.
Not sure if you'd need the extra length or if they even still have these pairs available.
