  1. ^ guess when we're on the topic, modern "feminism" which roughly translates to:

"I can do whatever the hell I want and not get any consequences for it because I'm a girl and should feel empowered instead of ashamed!" or

"All men are sexist pigs who doesn't understands struggles of being a girl" and other variations

Not to mention how everyone now seems super sensitive to the smallest piece of criticism and needs to be sheltered somehow. Even pointing out facts can get your ass sued or seem "unprofessional" because you're somehow "insensitive".

Edit: I realize now that the way I wrote it may come across as rude and super generalized which I admit is wrong taken out of context. But my point is its kinda ridiculous when you have to constantly be on edge for reactions of other people beyond your control.

Kind of like how that lady in the USA sued McD's for the coffee being hot after she spilled it on herself and somehow won (similar concept).

  2. ^ I wish i had this as a reference when i went, but then again organizing places to go with 8 people was horrid as it is.

checked out be a good neighbour, was absolutely pleasant despite the 30ish degree heat, long trek, and humidity. Taste wise it was good but hard to enjoy with sweat dripping and exhaustion after a day's worth of walking.

Had a first hand experience of Japanese hospitality and helpfulness, something that is fairly rare in most western countries I visit. Some lady, her husband and their chihuahua showed us the way to the nearest JR station and proceeded to walk with us halfway there.

Tried out Ogawa Coffee the Cafe down at Kyoto station. Looked like your typical starbucks-ey coffee joint but was surprised to find aeropress. Had a pretty good Panaman there.

Ran into Turret Cafe down at Tsukiji, first "western" style coffee place I tried after 10 days worth of vending machine & 7/11 coffees (which has its own charm). Decent but was a bit light for my taste flavour wise.

wanted to check out Caffe Fresco at Minami Asagaya but like you said, they open at about 12 and we had a schedule. First trip to Japan and all that shiz.

  3. this reminds me, back when i visited Tokyo - Osaka in July nearly every store was playing the soundtrack for Frozen. It was nice maybe for the first 5 times or so damn....

Absolutely missing good ramen. Also the cheap booze, alcohol tax here is murder.

+ loving how some of the bigger electronic stores have their own jingle

Planning already for checking out the northern parts like Hokkaido and possibly climb up Mt. Fuji around winter 2016, please confirm if this is a good idea or not (you know, radiation, and running into the odd yuki onna or 2 up at the mountains)

  4. Righto. The seller was pretty established and reputable at y!jp, just wasn't sure about the tags. Thanks.

Now all i need to do is figure out what to wear this, the photos and measurements appeared normal enough until i got the item and its a short, almost cropped bomber with normal length arms. Kinda like made for midget slenderman, even for someone as short as me.

  5. Not strictly style, but I've been progressively been getting more disappointed with my current wardrobe. Graphic tees have been progressively losing their appeal in favour of basics although I'll still wear em whenever I don't give a damn

Have the urge to slim down my wardrobe but always end up going "oh this could work here and there" etc so not much is culled.

Also experimenting with concepts. Doesn't always work tho. Case in point, a tee with a French bulldog print all over. I've probably worn that a grand total of 3 times at most. Damn what was i thinking  :(

So mostly outgrown the urban lumberjack/superdenim look and crush your balls skinny jeans everythang, seems like for now the direction is an awkward divide between colour blocking minimalism and streetwear.

    Yeah idk.

  6. Coworker dropped something on my leg and she was worried. She then asked if I wanted her to kiss it to make it feel better without realizing what she just said.

Also, I was eating at a ramen spot then the waitress spilled something on my thigh and grabbed tissues to almost patting me

similar thing happened to me. waitress spilled some cold tea near my crotch region and went straight ahead dabbing the area saying sorry continuously during the process

she kept going despite me saying it's alright and I can handle it myself

I was having dinner with my parents when they were visiting and they silently watched in the background. I don't know why but this made it seem 100x worse than what it actually was.

  7. Looks decent I guess, but for a techy looking piece pretty underwhelming when it's doesn't deliver some techy specs to go along with the look

Also not sure how i feel about paying $400+ for 100% polyester

  8. ^ dope, but that texture/plush like upper reminds me of uggs. Of course the silhouette is another thing altogether, anyway...

stumbled on these browsing Y!Jp (procrastination FTW), apparently these are hippo leather. I'd post in the high fashion mountaineering boot but this seems livelier

Edit: also found an ostrich leather version, probably appropriate for thanksgiving and such

  9. this girl keeps staring at me whenever we go out or w/e

At first I didn't mind but now I've come to realize that when we're walking down the street she keeps staring at my face and not watching where she's walking nearly bumping into things.

Eating dinner and she rarely looks down at the plate or around the room or anything. Sometimes she puts on a shit eating grin.

at one point i felt she was just giving me 'the eyes' or whatever people call it but she does it after sex aswell.

    Really getting annoyed now.

    something like this?

  10. talk to more girls. i feel like you are asking for a pick-up artist book rec or something

Nah, but i get what you mean tho. It's kinda bad in a sense that a lot of the time they just seem really really boring/superficial and I can't seem to find common ground. Its that or I'm desensitized/don't give a shit cz of a few bad experiences (childish, I know)

Gotta get out of my room more

  11. Uh, which ones were these? I had a few given to me as a present and was pissed to find out how much they had paid for subpar overroasted beans.

Its called kopi sidikalang, and that's about all the information I could get from the packet.. These are by no means the "best coffee i've ever tasted" but was surprisingly decent for luwak.

Playing around with it so far my personal preference is to use a chemex, the aeropress tends to give me mixed results. Syphon is out of commission until I get a replacement metal rim thing to hold the cloth filter in place, and recently broke the french press so that's out too.
