Look forward to hearing how you like them b_F. The two measurements that stand out for me are the 13.3" thigh and 12.7" front rise. That's quite a combo of trim and high -- you may look taller in these jeans ;-)

hmm he said no photos but can you describe the differences between this and his other jeans?
goodrain,
Roy does a good job describing key aspects of these jeans, including the Black Seed denim, heavier stitching, and measurements:
http://www.roydenim.com/test-lot-00
Compared with the Kinda Special jeans that I'm familiar with, these have a lower (i.e., medium) front rise while maintaining a relatively high back rise. It has taken me way too much time and money to finally learn that this is the combination that looks and feels best for me. We've all had jeans where the rises are too high or low. I think the Test Lot 00 gets it right and $245 seems reasonable for a pair of hand made jeans of this quality.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this question, but here goes ;-)
Is it generally true that limited washing in the first few months is the key to sharply defined creases and fades? In other words, since raw or soaked denim tends to be stiff, I would guess that wearing jeans in this stiffer state is required for sharp creases, if that's what you're after. Once the denim has been washed a few times and softens up, does the frequency of washing have significantly less impact on how the jeans look?
Thanks.

Here's a pic of the 1105 LTD, size 34, zip fly, 13.5 oz. (post soak: 75 min/warm water).
I really like them except for the length -- only 32.5"! Here are the raw (and post soak) measurements:
Waist 35.25" (34.0")
FR 12.0" (11.5")
BR 16.75" (16.5")
Thigh 13.75" (13.25")
Knee 10.0" (9.375")
LO 8.25" (8.0")
Inseam 34.5" (32.5")

Max, love the color of the IH-154 -- was thinking about that one too. It does look a little long in the sleeves. While washing will help, you probably don't want to it come up in the body.

Very nice -- something unique about the texture and look of Warehouse 14.5 oz. denim.

Both looking good Max and b_F! I would guess we're all about the same size -- the 34 looks trim and the 36 a bit relaxed.

Thanks Max. I will look into a hip & thigh transplant and see if the 710 in 34 will work ;-)

^ Max, how do they fit compared to the Warehouse 800 (34), Fullcount 1101 (34), or Samurai S500OG (35)?
Based on your and b_F's experience, I'd be tempted to go with 36 on the 710 also. That said, a 35 would be great!

Nice Filson Medium duffle aho! I have the same bag in green. As much as I like it, it hangs in such a way that it has to be slung over the body (as you have it) rather than only over a shoulder. So I carry a Fogg bag, which is pricey but fantastic:

I hear you b_F regarding size 35, not only in Resolute but others too. Keep us posted on how you like them -- both the fit and otherwise.

My waist is about 35" (34" on a good day) and I went with 36. This was the right choice but 35 would have been fine too since this denim will likely stretch where it needs to.
I was a little surprised when I saw 37 on the tagged inseam since the target was 34" after wash, but maybe Ooe plans on 3" of shrinkage. What are you all seeing? ... or maybe it's too soon to tell.

Great choice Max -- the 1101 in 34 is one of my favorites. Comfortable fit (up top) and feel (soft), yet with a nice taper below.

Just threw my FC type 1 in the wash, first time it's hit water (other than being purchased one wash) in the over year I've owned and wore it. Crossing my fingers they won't shrink but I know it's coming :/
Will post update pictures when it dries!
OK Andrew, let's see those pictures! ;-)

I love these jeans. Some of it is the typical OA02 fit (doesn't get any better for me) and some of it is the color -- both the weft and dark indigo. For those more knowledgeable (i.e., all of you!), what gives the weft its non-white color?

Thanks to Andrew (aho), Jeremy, Ryo, and Hiro for pulling this together. Just soaked the #17 jeans in warm water for two hours, partially dried them in the dryer, and am hanging them outside now. Here's a comparison pic between the #17 LHT denim and the OA01XX-1055 60 Years NOS denim (neither completely dry). Same weight -- different feel and color. Both nice.
Though I'm no man of the world, Dag Hammarskjold was Secretary-General of the UN, so receiving The World card may make some sense ;-)

Anyone been to Ooe's site lately, heard the music, and viewed the old pictures? Really nice, just like the people and its products.

If I'm a 34 in the Warehouse 800 and 33/34 in Fullcount 1101, should I go with 34 or 36 in the Resolute 710? Where, if anywhere, is the 710 cut least generous -- e.g., waist, hips, or thighs?

^ Love the patch! Dag would be happy with it, if he wore jeans ;-)

Great photos from SLAB above. The last one shoes some incredible texture. Is that the 'marbling' that Max, B_F, and others have mentioned?

^ Doogan, do you wear the same size in the 800 and 1101?

^ That was my take too garden gnomes. I tried on a size 44 t-shirt -- the fabric is very soft. While it fit superbly and was extremely comfortable, it's on old world look with a chest-hugging feel and low neck. Ryo was standing nearby and repeated the word 'vintage' several times, while showing me old black & white photos of workers from almost a century ago wearing similar shirts. If I recall correctly, these shirts are made on a sewing machine from the early 20th century.
Overall, I couldn't have been more impressed with the folks from Ooe -- they take what they do seriously, yet they're warm, engaging, and enjoyed a good laugh over words that we all could almost understand. I think I learned that their shop is 2-3 hours by car from Tokyo, that Ooe is their last name, and that yofukuten is Japanese for clothing manufacturer. Correct me if any of this is wrong ;-)
