  1. R425H worn for about 4 to 5 months, 2 machine washes.

pretty easy faders I'd say. I've always worn this as a "day off" pair to whatever project I've been working on.

my first pair of red clouds, for sure not the last (next pair will definitely be a looser cut such as the R423),

  2. nice fit Aho!

the whole outfit looks super, deck jacket Filson bag et all, and I see you're still shovelling like there's no tomorrow in the windy city.

Those White's with the honey commando sole have a serious 80's Italian paninari vibe!

    *****!!!

  3. That's good to know. I know of at least one store in London that stocks TCB so I'll check them out next time I'm down there. Still wouldn't be sure what to wear on my feet with jeans that wide, any suggestions welcomed! In the meantime I'll just drool over his blog.

Chucks always work well for me with wide leg jeans. Otherwise a big boot, such as RW Iron Rangers work even better. my next boot buy (in 2016, definitely!) will be a pair of William Lennon boots and I am pretty confident that they will work great with wide hems too!

  4. I think it's his own take and might depend by the fact that those proportions work well on the average Asian body frame. If you look at fit pics on TCB blog none of the models has to roll in the sleeves the way we do (and btw I do think it looks cool with the sleeves rolled!). That said I still find the fit of this jacket way more flattering than anything else I've owned over the years...

  5. Well let me know if you make it over here, I can give you all the right foodie suggestions!

Look forward to see where your dad style washing behaviour will bring the TCB denim. It looks well impressive so far. I do enjoy a little bit of contrast so I'll hold on washes for awhile now.

  6. I am pretty sure Inoue San will do it for you if you ask. He doesn't make a size 42 for all of his tops in his standard line but he made them for me when I asked. I have a type II and I've just ordered a duck vest, same story..

  7. Unders you wear it really well!

Also for me the jacket is a bit long in the arms and in the body but it doesn't bother very much as all in all the fit is so flattering, exactly as you said!

I'd love to see TCB come up with other selvedge 5 pocket jean designs too. I'll b all over it ahah!

  8. today I went for a walk in Albenga a lovely little city not far from where I live.
we often go there on a sat morning as we like the general vibe of the place, there's a great bar for coffee and two lovely indipendent bookshops.

here's one of the two medieval towers of Albenga

after coffee and bookshops we stopped by for a quick lunch in a lovely trattoria.

we had farinata (very old and simple recipe, that can be tracked back even to roman empire times)

it's chickpeas flour mixed with water and olive oil and then cooked quickly at very high temperatures in the wood oven. quite healthy too (unless there's too oil), it feel like you're eating carbs but in fact chickpeas are vegetal proteins.

then I had one of the classic local recipes that I like the most, baby cuttlefish stew, cooked with spuds and porcini mushrooms.

  9. hey Hoolio! good to hear you appreciated our topic.

I hope you'll love the TCB 60's as much as I do. So far in my limited experience they're definitely my all time favourite pair of jeans.

The Passalacqua Harem is a very special blend of coffee, much sweeter than the average 100% arabica coffee. I sincerely hope you're not going to use it for an americano coffee or a filter cofee ahah! Another brilliant blend from Passalacqua is Mexico, that's their standard blend and slighty less expensive than Harem.

  10. Not much denim-related to showcase, but I figured a couple of pictures can't hurt eh?

Have anyone else picked up a copy of Viktors book? I noticed they went over to Inspiration and brought along a big chunk of his vintage collection. Would be great to see it in person sometime.

what a fine sight! la caffettiera napoletana! I am intrigued by that book, is it any good? the photo samples I've seen are very interesting. Should I get it?? ahah!

  11. great page guys!

Nizzel, just incredible fades! ***** stars!

you should make a tutorial on how to take photos of denim, too! that would be a great topic for the forum but I am still too bad to start it ahah!
