So the 1001XX in duck digger denim arrived yesterday. Must say I'm a bit surprised about the unevenness of the fabric. I thought it'd be more smooth but hell, I like it!
Don't really have time for some fitpics today, they're still raw anyway, but I took some quick snaps.A slightly tattered one-sided redtab
Little close-up of the fabric and bonus pink selvage
Now I'm just waiting for warmer weather.

Hey you Stockholm boys, I'm heading to Sweden for Midsommar, care for a small HWDC2 meetup?
If I'm free I'll join in on a few - or plenty - of beers. Would be alot of fun.

^ Sorry that I stole your thunder Jared but they're on their way to Sweden. At least I can keep you updated on the progress!
Thanks for the heads-up Aho.1 -
^ Thanks man.
I know how the feeling, I've been an office warrior most of the time so far. But we've got loads of time left so there's no rush.
By the way, I've been wondering what happened to the other Steel Feather-wearers? Is there anyone else still going out there in cyberspace? I havn't kept up with the other forums.0 -
x-post from the main thread
So here's a more detailed update for the Steel Feathers. Lighting is crap so mind I've used a flash.
So far I think I've worn them about 6 months and I've lost track of how many washes aswell. I just wear and wash when I feel like they need it. As you can see in the picture I've also had to do some DIY-repairwork to prevent a hole. For being the first repair it feel alright, should look better when they've faded some more.I also tried to capture a close-up off the denim. Wish I had a macro lens and some decent photoskills, but what the hell. This is from the front of the thigh:

Bloody hell Fanya, where did that come from? Crazy progress compaired to most of the other MBB's.
Can't wait for spring, there's never any good lighting to take pictures these days.

^ I'll try to do a proper update tomorrow!

The MBB's sure seem stubborn. But it looks promising, I bet they'll look damn good by the end of the competition.

Looking good guys. Great to see the thread being so lively as of late.

Shit Mister56, that's some bad luck you've had. Hopefully 2014 will compensate for it.
Happy new year champs!1 -
Looks damn tasty Okisan. Especially the lamb shanks.

What details have been hammered out for the NY meetup as of yet?
So far I think we've only decided that it takes place in the beginning of august.
Would be fun to brainstorm a little to rev up the excitement. What do you have to do while in New York?

That's odd. Photobucket works just fine for me.

^ Sounds like we're running the same game. I think I'm also somewhere around 5-6 months in. I'm not really keeping count, we'll just see what it looks like at the end of the competition.
On another note I've started saving up some cash for the meet-up in New York. Really stoked about it! Who is planning on going?1 -

Tush's products looks amazing. If I was in a more stabile financial situation I would cop one right away.
By the way, I noticed you only have "raw" pics of Tush's products on your site. I suppose most of the Sufu-crowd knows about the proefficency of aging leather, I'd say it'd help you even further if you have a photo or two of a used sample aswell.Just a thought!

The other day I took the jeans for a spin to Stockholm and the World Cup play-off game against Portugal. First time seeing our new national stadium Friends Arena. Almost 50 000 crazy Swedes hoping for a miracle and a broken leg or two on Ronaldo early in the game.
Well, the result turned to shit in the end just like my pictures. Zlatan made us see the shores of Brazil with two goals in 5 minutes but that doesn't really matter when Ronaldo scores another hat-trick. But it sure was an awsome night and I've never heard or felt anything quite like the atmosphere when Zlatan scored the freekick to turn the tides around.7 -

We talked about this a lot more in HDC round 1 - there were updated lists of contestants and those who didn't contribute, were disqualified (I hope I recall it correctly). I am glad, that this wasn't a topic here yet. let's keep it this way.
I do agree with this. Although I realise it is a competition and we've got loads of prices, I feel like the vibe is all about getting some nice stories to go with the jeans and build an even closer community. So far I'm just enjoying the ride and I plan on keeping it that way.
