Now we're talking Finn! Made me hungry straight away.
^^ Haha, that does sound a bit crazy, but around sufu we're all more or less crazy anyway.Funny how it seems alot of people around here have visited Sweden. It is great, but I never took it for a touristy country. Guess I'm kinda blinded by living here.

^ Yeah I know what you mean. It's more for the europeans that don't wanna order from abroad and be hit with customs.
Maynard: Oh so it's those guys. Never got a chance to visit Mr Mudd and Mr Gold. Think it's closed now.0 -
Not to long ago I came across this swedish site http://panchoandlefty.se selling Warehouse products among other great brands. Havn't seen it being talked about before so I thought I'd share it.
There's a sale going on at the moment aswell.

Love watching this from the sidelines. It's just lacking the foodporn from the Ooe-contest.
On a sidenote: Volvo, you really made me miss Italy with that view of your kitchen!0 -
I've seen it on a 1001XX collaboration pair they did with a shop called Izumi, that was made with Duckdigger denim. I think Slab posted the info a few pages back and Bobbo bought a pair from Yahoo auctions.
Yeah, it's the patch from my 1001XX collabs. Sincerely happy I won't have that patch on more than one pair, haha.

I'd say it's from your hem. But seems like Flo beat me to it.
Fun little "challenge" to celebrate the halfway mark though! Very generous of you Ruedi.0 -
Great updates Slowitchu and Cander! I also have plans for some local showcasing...

^ This talk and reading old pages from the 15th anniversary release made me to pull out my 1001's. Feels like luxurious sweatpants.
I wonder what they'll have in store for next year...Should be epic.2 -
A while back I had a little discussion with Anders about how he raised the beltloops on my Steel Feathers. He posted a pic of the sewingmachine on Instagram. It has an attachment that bunches the fabric up.
Thought I'd show it now you're discussing the different methods.

If you decided to go with the SC 1953, Naoki-san is very helpful with measurements, have good english and responds fast on e-mails. It was a very pleasant shopping experience. He also carries alot of SDA and Denime. Both the type II and type III last time I checked.

So I followed Levis shrink to fit guide for the last 2 months. It says to not wash for as long as possible and then soak. So I have been wearing them raw for the last 2 months. Faint whiskers appearing. But then I came across the thread on here and it seems that most people soak them before wearing them. So now I am wondering if I should soak them now? I guess if i keep wearing them for more time and then soak them that the whiskers and everything will be in the wrong places right? Whats your advise? Keep wearing them unshrinked or shrink them now?
Thanks
Either you shrink them now or just wear them raw. If you decide to get rid off the shrinkage there are multiple ways to do it. Myself I just put them inside out in the washer, 40 degrees and as little spin as possible with a tad of detergent before I start wearing them.
Here's a thread with some other helpful tips for shrinking your jeans: http://supertalk.superfuture.com/index.php/topic/10341-best-way-to-shrink-jeans/. Good luck and welcome to Sufu!

^ I'm loving my Sugar Cane type 2, couldn't be happier with my choice. The denim is really nice and it's well constructed. Also managed to find it raw from Naoki-san over at Pants shop avenue.
But if you really want a storm rider, SDA makes great products aswell!

Just out of curiosity, why do you consider cotton thread more authentic? Poly thread has been widely used in jeans for the last 50+ years. I've never understood that philosophy, unless the jeans are something really old fashioned, like a model with a cinch back and suspender buttons.
To be honest I didn't know poly thread had been around for so long. But if that's the case then I wonder why so many companies stick with 100% cotton?

^ I've yet to restitch my hem but I've done a good amount of my inseams and shared your thoughts. It's nice with the authenticy of 100% cotton threads but I'd gladly welcome the durability of polycore.
Though my denim wardrobe begs the differ....100% cotton threads all over the damn place.

Very Blue Oyster Bar Bobbo!
I had completely forgotten that scene from the police academy! Seems like I still remembered it unconsiously though. Good stuff!1 -

Fitpics of my SD-101's. Wasn't used with the higher waist at first but by now I'm loving it! They're really comfy without being too wide for my taste. The colour is really deep. They've got about 2 months of wear so far and have just barely started to show some light whiskering. These will be stubborn seeing how slow my jeans fade. More SDA for me!21 -
Since I had some nice weather I went for a walk. Right next door to my flat I have the local football stadium Behrn Arena where the top two teams in town play. Örebro SK for the boys and Karlslunds IF for the ladies. The season is just starting with the cups here in Sweden. Really looking forward to see some (low quality) games.
Stadsparken is about 5 minutes away from my place. It's the biggest park in the city and finally getting greener by the minute.
I thought I'd show you guys Wadköping which is the oldest part of Örebro. Unfortunately my phone died just after taking this photo from a far. Oh the unintentional cliffhanger.
And to celebrate the upcoming halfway mark a pic from the balcony with the contest-tee.
Cheers heavy champs!

^ I really liked the look on Okisans hoodie (check it out in the UES-thread) from UES. Quality seem to be top-notch on all their garments and a great price. I know it's not a european dealer but I'd say it's definitely worth it.

But if you want a european dealer you could go with a Jelado hoodie from http://nokipple.com/collections/sweats. + Mega and Hectic is running the store and I'd say they know their shit.0 -
The fit looks good although it's a little hard to see because of the lighting. Keep us updated on the progress!
That reminded me, I should get some fitpics up on my SD-101's from last summer.
SDA is definitely worth more love than they get around here.0 -
My SD101 is unsanforized and if I'm not mistaken they use the same denim in the entire 10-series.
I recall seeing Blue in Green stocking SDA in both raw and one wash.
Edit: ^Beat me to it!

Hey guys. I recently got my hand on Sugar Cane's type II jacket, SC11953. I've been wondering what denim they've used for the jacket. So far I've only found out that it's not the 50/50 mix of sugarcane and cotton from browsing through the last two years of this thread.
Anyone sitting on the knowledge?0

Challenge 5 - introduce your country
For your entertainment - a round of pictures of Örebro where I'm currently living. In the first post we have Wadköping - an entire block of Örebros architectural history. It was finished in 1965 and consists of old wooden buildnings from across the central parts of Örebro that was moved there. The oldest buildings go back to the 15th century and the newest parts from after the cityfire in 1854. It's not just museums though. You'll find a bakery, workshops for different crafts, cafés, an old bookstore and an outdoor theatre.
I guess I'll start where we left off last time when my phone died:
This is Kungsstugan (King's Cabbin), the oldest of the lot.
That's it from Wadköping but there's more to come.
