another Grizzly sighting

haven't posted in a while - currently on holiday. a few weeks in with my IH-555-02. surprisingly though I've got stitching coming undone on my back pocket, not what I've come to expect of iron heart.

@mister56 - this is in certainly no way meant to illicit an irate response or provoke more ire from you, but i really struggle to see what your beef here is. you say you like to challenge the norm, and aren't interested in playing a popularity game, but you're getting annoyed because other members don't share your point of view... that just doesn't add up.

i also fail to see how giving grief to the very guy who has donated a truckload of his time & money to setting up this contest (that you signed up for) is going to garner you anything other than negative responses.

i'm plenty loose - was just asking a question, which you duly answered, and somehow managed to squeeze a Mussolini reference in there.

Exactly. Don't get hung up on a number. My current 18oz IH's are every bit as awesome as my 21oz pair.

Anyone with a slight athletic build but still pretty slim at the natural waist and waist wearing the 666 model? Can you squeeze your thighs into them? I've been looking for 20+ ounce very slim cut denim and seems their 666-XHS is the one I've been looking for.

You have numerous slim options in IH. Key thing would be to figure how wide you want your leg opening and that will tell you which ones are right for you

well, the chart says they're only a half inch smaller in the thigh in the cobra. i've owned both mustang & cobra in the one size, and i don't recall a huge amount of difference. given this denim is fairly forgiving i don't see it should pose that much of a problem to make the switch between cuts - i did.

If your gripe is the leg opening then get the cobra. This denim stretches easy so if they're too loose in the waist then size down.

my 301s stretched 2 inches in the waist, but that took a while and was a result of my just generally pudging out a bit over time.

All signs point to me getting some Viapiana very soon

i definitely prefer to hold out a while before first wash also, though i admit i hold out until the 10mth mark. after that then i'm happy to wash whenever as by that point i've well & truly made my mark on them and washing will only compliment this. i will soak every once in a while pre 1st wash, just to 'freshen' them up though....

you left out one option on sanforized:

buy the right size based on stretch, wear to stretch out. fit fucking great.

to each their own but i find sanforized denim far easier to predict, especially if you know what you're buying.

unless you're soaking your jeans in bleach then you have nothing to worry about, it'll take more than just getting wet for your jeans to lose colour.
