I've got a few wool jumpers, including a nice vintage Pendleton that's my favorite. Just wanted something as a change up.

They're almost too warm for me to wear on most days even in the winter.
Then again i get warm easily.
Yeah, I'm a warm blooded guy myself so I very rarely get super cold but from the other replies (thanks guys) I think that one of these might be a good bet.

Speaking of how warm Buzz stuff is, what is the warmth factor of the loop wheeled sweatshirts? I know they'll be fine for here in NorCal but I have to spend a month back home in the UK and was wondering if they'd be a good weight for that.

Do you LVC folks think I could get 2" of shrink in the waist of a pair of the current 1915's?

Man, them is some fugly jeans. Blm14, that's about as far from Selfedge as you can get. Taste wise anyway.

Not from today but this past Saturday, after getting a signed copy of Jeans of the Old West: A History. Went for a walk in the Marin Headlands at Tennessee Valley. Watched a rain storm coming in over the hills at sunset.

I'm thinking that while not in Julian territory, they should be pretty good. Although I would expect that they'll need a little work to break in but should be long lasting. No personal experience though.

I've been planning on a pair of William Lennon Derby as my next boot purchase for awhile now. The style is right on and the price is pretty nice also. Maybe a pair of these as well for a little more traction in wet conditions.

^ Carhartt Ropers would be my guess.

Couldn't find Levis ones but did find some by Carhartt.

2010 catalog released:
Holy F*cking Shit. Most of that Sugar Cane stuff is awesome but it's topped by the Buzz Rickson. I want one of everything in that catalogue. Next year was going to be a year of saving and frugality but now I might have to cheat a little.

The Wall is Top 10 Album for sure, have loved it since it first came out. Will go see if it comes here.
So, here's a few more pictures of some of the 100 or so animals I take care of at work. All rescued reptiles, amphibians and insects.

Inspired by Farhad and Z, I went a little Hipstamatic this weekend. I will not bore everyone with most of the crap I took but here's a few I liked.
Pendleton, Sugar Cane and Redwing.
More SC and RW.
Texturelicious.
Here's a couple of my friends from work.

almost all of the fields here in minnesota and down in iowa are done being harvested or baled. the farmers have had a wonderful October for it...
This one was taken this noon meeting up with some people at theUniversity of Minnesota campus...

After just missing out on the so called 'OG's' I promised myself that Roys would be the next pair of jeans that I paid full price for. Well, now we know what that real price is and I'm still going to get some. I might just take a trip across the Bay and go to the source or I might just walk a few blocks down from my house to SE. Either way is fine, the guys at SE have always been worth supporting and so is ROY.
I honestly see all this fuss about the price as ridiculous. Almost everyone on here has paid above $200 for jeans and in quite a few cases $300. All our friends and family already think we're insane 'You paid how much?!?! Aren't they just the same as the $30 ones from Walmart???'
Also I had a sneaky feeling that the SExRoy thing was going to happen. About 4 months ago I asked the SE guys if they knew what Roy was planning next and they got all kinda sheepish and quiet and mumbled that they didn't really know what was up. Haha, I should've guessed.

Another pick up from this weekend, an M-1943 Field Jacket. Made in '44 and issued in '45. It's in amazing shape for it's age. Probably saw very little service, maybe some in Europe or more likely in the Pacific.

Just got this beautiful Type 1 from Roy6 last week. Made on Valencia St. in 1999. I've been after something made on Valencia for awhile and also wanted a Type 1 so this was a perfect marriage of the two.

Picked up this vintage Duck, Duck hunting vest at a little antique store this weekend. I thought it was cool and had a lot of character.

I would be in if this comes about after Christmas but monies are tight until then thanks to having to travel for the holidays. I am seriously intersted though.

^^ I've warm hand washed mine once and there was very little shrink at all. Half inch at the absolute most. If they end up looking like those above that ajchen posted then I'll be more than happy. Although I cuff mine up so there won't be that stack fade but if the rest get there then:D

Man, I do wish we had stuff like this here in the great white north! Looking forward to seeing more!
On a different note... I wasn't sure where the heck to put this info, so perhaps here will be good....
I was in Buffalo on biz today, and popped into the local J Crew store. I snagged a couple of pairs of the "salt soaked selvage 501's", that were on the sales rack for $19.99  Sweet Cone denim...
Pretty nice at that price. I queried the salesperson about it, and she said while internet sales are real strong for this (it's still full price online), the store couldn't move them... Might be worth a look at your local store...
Went to the J Crew store in Sacramento this morning and bought 2 pairs of these that were indeed $19.99 each. They had about 10 pairs of them in a few different sizes. While it's true they aren't LVC, for the price they'll make excellent knock around jeans.

Oh man I love those old Pentax, I used one all through Art College back in the Stone Age;) They are built like tanks and have great character. I had an old Ricoh that was the same camera, just re-badged, for years and my brother still uses it.

Yeah, no. That's a bad idea. Better to live in ignorance.

Thanks, that's sorta what I figured. I was trying to decide between a 34x34 pair of 1915's or a 36x36. Unfortunately I can't find a 34x36 pair, if they even make one. TTS waist is 33 but I'm leery of losing too much length with a 34 inseam.
