  1. I should maybe have asked about shrinkage on this thread before rinsing these ducks yesterday. They are now firmly a 34w instead of a 36.

Any slimmer blokes than me want to make an offer ?

I almost bid on those myself. They'd fit me now perfectly but I'm broke til after Christmas. Is the stain on the lap still noticeable after the rinse, that was kinda what put me off buying them.

  2. I'm sure there's a Oni thread somewhere but as this one was getting some traffic I thought I'd use it. Does anyone have fit picks of the Oni Handmade Ox Canvas Jeans that BiG has for sale right now. I am sorely tempted but I don't want anything with a low rise, looking for a more traditional 40's/50's fit. Any help appreciated.

  3. From being at an 'After Party' at a pro rodeo in Idaho last year, I can tell you that those guys all wore very tight Wranglers with a lot of stacking and almost all pale blue. I don't think I saw a single pair of Levis. It was a very surreal scene.

  4. I love my 66's, they are the most comfortable and hairy pair of jeans I have. They seem very stubborn to let go of their indigo though. I like this personally and probably will end up giving some nice 'vintage' style fades.

  5. Yeah, if I'm lucky enough to get in I don't know how I'll tell the GF. She is pretty used to it by now though. I might have to liquidate some nice bike parts to cover the cost.

I would also like to say a big 'thank you' to all those involved in the effort of putting this together, you all rule and this is regardless of if I get a pair.

  6. So I tried my hand at making a chambray utility shirt. Easy enough right? Not as easy as it looks, but with a little determination and a seam ripper I was able to make something wearable.

I used a commercially available pattern and altered it a tad bit. Made the collars not so big, obviously re-patterned the pockets, and changed the cuff style.

Collar. I used some vintage selvage brown fabric I found on ebay. Kinda gauzy.

The placket. I used some black cat's eye corrozo buttons. I really like these buttons.

Cuffs. I went for a no-placket cuff kinda like the vintage big yanks.

A fabric close up. On expensive fabric someone might call this "loom chatter." On cheap fabric they call it a flaw.

And of course some fit pics.

Quoted to get this awesome shirt on another page and because I can't rep it again so soon. No ulterior motive at all I assure you
