^^ I actually went with the LVC 44's because I'm on kind of a Cone trip right now. I didn't even go in SESF to look at the TSL's because I might have bought them as well. However I doubt that they are 'shit', SE is not in the habit of selling crap.

Ha ha, I did a double take for a second too. He looks younger, skinnier and less hairy than me though.

Just thought I'd put the word out to check out the new Free & Easy 'The Boots Days' issue, Vol.14 No. 147. Holy Shoe Porn! Includes some Vibergs very similar to those above.

You can even get your crack pipe super lighter from them too.

Any idea what the shrinkage might be on these when washed?

^ Thank you Z, from you that is truly a nice compliment. I have a few more I'll post when I've gone through all of them. Later today maybe.

These are a small selection of images from my trip home to England for Christmas. My family lives on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. It's a very beautiful but sometimes harsh environment. Anyway I hope you like some of them.

Someone find them some Duck and quickly! That jacket is so beautiful it has to put into production. I recently talked with Pointer Brand about their duck chore coat and they said they won't be making any more of those because they can't get the fabric either. Is duck going to disappear? Have Carhartt bought it all up?

Sugar Canes are fast becoming my favorite maker. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting some more in the new year. I just have to decide which ones, Oki's or maybe 47's.

The opening is 9" on my pair. They don't feel extremely slim, but I only sized down 1. You could definitely size down 2. I purchased mine from Meet Bernard on sale for 45 USD.

And finally, here's an old fit picture.
Not to contradict you but I'd be very careful with sizing down on Ropers, they have a short top block with very little rise. This can be a quite tight on the 'family jewels' and expose quite a lot of butt crack. Try them on first if at all possible.

I know it's been said many times before but jeebus, Oki-ni needs to either let those poor models eat once in awhile or get some new ones. They really don't do the clothes any justice. I do however wish the dollar was worth more because I like that checked overshirt.

Ok, these pictures might be huge because I can't seem to figure out how to resize them on my iPhone photobucket app, so forgive me. More of the snow fall here in the UK overnight, it made for some really beautiful sights while out walking today. I just hope it clears up enough for me to fly home after Christmas.

Small question about the quality of Cheaney shoes? Probably not quite as good as Trickers but a little better than Church's (I know they just got bought out by Church's but still) Anyone got first hand experience? Thanks.

^This is a complaint of mine with most shirts these days. It seems that tucking a shirt is becoming a lost art. 90% of shirts I try on always seem too short.
It's good to know that in advance about the eworkers shirts, I was considering ordering one or two but won't if they are cut short.

Dr, if you want them tight then you should size down. Mine are the loosest jeans I own but I really like that about them. I'm starting to dislike the 'modern' trend of no rise and tight legs. I like that when I bend down in these and my LVC 47's that my shirts and butt don't fall out.

I love that coat (and the Harris Tweed one of yours, Paul) I would so wear the shit out of it.

Like I said, if timing is right I'll be in for a pair like those service boots from the blog in a light brown/tan leather. If a horsehide exists in that color that would be ideal. (Far left, front row in the Japanese street collection link on the website)

Get actual measurements, they run small. A tagged 32 might actually be a 31. They do stretch a little with wear but not a lot. They are awesome jeans, I wear mine everyday and love 'em.

Is there a time frame for this yet. After Christmas and I'd be in, before and I'm not.

Nice 55 Vin, I'm now into day 2 of my new 44's. I am really on an LVC/Cone trip right now and loving the details on these. Things like the laurel wreath top button, herringbone twill pocket bags and the painted on arcuate.
Some one earlier asked about the sizing on them, the 34x34's were actually 36x35.5 and I soaked them in hot water for about 40 mins and they came out 34.5x32 ish. Probably a little more shrink left yet I'm guessing.
The fit is bang on what I wanted as I'm also on a WW2 era kinda of jag as far as wardrobe goes.
