It's a double edged sword for me, I really want these samurais but at the same time that means my other pairs are finally getting some decent wear... Abstraktgeformt if you were my size I'd share!

Pretty sure if you've got the dough and the patience ooe would, and they'd probably post it on their blog. But like baldy said, i really doubt it'd be less than 250.

pretty darn stiff. they come unwashed unlike the other ones so there is a pretty nice starchy feel to them in the beginning. i've worn mine about 4 times they're barely getting softer. i also sized down one from my caramel size, per Christians advice.

after and while i was completing my ms in human-computer interaction in june, i've been doing a lot of freelance usability and design work with some clients around chicago. it's been a great experience and got to do some pretty cool stuff with hospitals and rare coin dealers.
recently though, i landed a great job downtown working for a big pharmacy chain. you know, the one on every corner? it's still contracting, but i get 40/hrs a week and benefits through the staffing agency, so i'm happy for now. probably will transition to a full timer in a few months. best part is that i get to play with and design for mobile devices exclusively, which i love. feel really fortunate to have landed it.
if anyone wants to nerd out about mobiles or ux, feel free to pm me, i'm happy to talk about it.
edit; ugh i repped myself. i swear i'm not that cocky.

A thousand thank yous to everyone who tipped me off to the j crew sale and to the sizing of the master. it arrived today, and to beat a dead horse, it's f'n amazing. fit is great, quality is amazing, the brown color is amazing.
it's heavier than i thought, probably will be able to withstand chicago winters with no problem. thanks to the sizing help, wearing a sweatshirt underneath won't be a problem if it gets too cold.

Does anybody have any experience with Oak Street Bootmakers VS Red Wing? Safe to go with the same size?
I don't have any redwings to compare but i just got the camp boots in. the fit is pretty prefect, with just about 1/2-3/4 inch in the length of the toe to spare. the toebox is wide enough so that it isn't cramped, even with my thicker socks. i think it'd be safe to say they run a half size large, but take this with a grain of salt since I probably fall on the smaller size between half sizes.
for reference:
Alden 405 truebalance: 8.5 D
llbean/chippewa katahdin iron works boot - 8.5 D, could have probably gone with a 9 but these fit pretty nicely now
Oak Street camp boot - 8.5

I'm actually getting a pair of vibram camp boots in the mail today. Took their advice and sized downs half from my regular boot size. Will keep you posted.

I want my rep back late night repping strike one...

The self edge version is the cone denim, and should shrink in the chest around 1 in, and the sleeves maybe half of an inch. This is based on info I got from emailing john@ MF.

1000xx 2011 edition, maybe 3 months of total wear. really nice blue hues have been starting to show; the direct sun pictures kind of highlight it. easily my best fitting pair right now. Not going to be able to really break them in for a while with the samurai and left field contests next year.
my camera just came back from repair, so please excuse the photo overload. i'm happy to have it back

Fre$co, send me a PM! We'd love to have you.
And I don't think the rise is low at all. Feels much higher than any pants I've worn recently (Roy and Cone, Roy Originals, LVC 66, PBJ 007, etc). I'm 6'3 and they work fine.
Yeah, gotta say the rise doesn't feel low at all. Mid maybe, but my size 31s feels as high as my warehouse 1000xx, which isn't low.

the more the merrier. can't wait for this to kick off. the indigo really is something to behold. I also had a run in with some paper towels, doing a bit of spot cleaning. the towel came away a lovely shade of blue.
