Looks like BiG has stock of the 1000xx now. They've got raw and one wash if a few sizes. No pics yet, but sizes are listed... I think I'm gonna pull the trigger.
Edit: trigger pulled, order confirmed. Size 31 raw, here we come.
Edit x2: I love Gordon and everyone at Blue in Green. Jeans are already on the way!

Sansome1877, can't rep you any more but thanks so much for sharing all of these great pictures. If you ever need help crawling around in the desert, I'd love to lend a hand. I need a vacation...

Great pics, Aho. Thanks for putting those up. I can't wait for BiG to get stock now.

Since we last spoke, I acquired a duck messenger from Ryo and Hiro. It was a nice day this morning so I took a few family shots with the bag and my 3201s.
Two washes on the jeans since my last post, I think. I've had the bag for a week or two. Lovely construction and beautiful details as usual. Click for big & you can see a few more pics of the bag at the gallery in my sig.

Wow, so I'm thinking I know what my store credit to BIG is going to buy now...

Any tips on where to find a nice pair of duck canvas chinos/pants? I bought these Left Fields from BiG in size 30 but they're just a bit too tight in the waist and the rise is kinda low.
I was originally looking for a pair of Carhartt Ropers but being in the US , they are hard to find.

Well, no shit! Thanks. Here I was scouring Ebay. But ouch... the prices in USD are a bit higher than what I wanted to drop. But, I guess that's scarcity at work for you. Back to the hunt.

I've been on the fence about buying a Pointer denim chore coat for a while now. I'm sorely tempted by the heavier denim but I feel like I already have too many denim jackets and assorted coverings. It sucks that they only have XL and L in the duck chore coat... Anyone know where to snag smaller sizes in the duck?

Thanks guys. That jacket is killer. After doing a bit of research it's for sure on my list of things to one day possibly acquire... but that list is large.

Jacket looks awesome Riff, which is it?

^^ wow... that's a flyer for some of the things I love the most... Japanese denim, craft beer, espresso (intelligentsia, no less!), good people, beautiful weather...
Who wants to carpool from Chicago!??

Here's an update on how my leather belt from Skip is doing after a few weeks. If you're interested in seeing the full resolution hit the Picasa link in my sig and go to the Ooe gallery.

Thought I'd share some pictures I took before the Memorial Day washing. Click the Picasa link in my sig for the full resolution.
Ooe 3201, maybe 9-10 months of wear and countless washes/soaks:

I'm really hoping I can find a pair of Ropers in store in Chicago (new Carhartt store in Wicker Park I think?)
I had no idea that a Carhartt store opened in Chicago. Apparently the address is 1520 North Milwaukee Ave, right off the Damen Blue Line.
If you go, please let me know if you find any ropers there. I won't be able to make it out there until the weekend maybe.

Along the lines of superglue, Gorilla Glue might do the trick. It's incredibly strong and flexible even - to a point. If you go this route USE AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE because that glue does not mess around and it likes to expand into a harder foam as it dries.

Looks like Chicago, but those are Texas accents, correct?
Def. is Chicago - you can see his Chicago Card hanging from his front. Who wants to get a drink?! I'm currently at the office downtown.

Yesterday was Dark Lord Day 2011, a yearly beer release festival by my local brewery, Three Floyds. Russian imperial stouts, tons of local and guest brews on tap, metal bands and thousands of people sharing beers with each other - it's awesome.
I'm lucky enough to have been born, raised and currently living in Munster, Indiana so I could walk to the brewery and attend a few past events, but there are many people that come from all over the country and world to buy and taste beer. 6000 tickets sold out in 2 minutes this year, and to keep things safe, the number of attendees was halved. Craft beer seems to really be taking off!
The midpoint line at 9:30AM, just to get into the beer sales and main event area(and bathroom!)
Inside the brewery - I think this painted shipping container is the office for the brewmaster:
Yes, yes you say but what about the beer? Here is the haul:
By noon, the crowd was in full effect:
And we had ammased a small graveyard thanks to friendly neighboors and other cool people:
I think in this picture there is: 2008 Goose Island (RIP) Bourbon County Stout, 2009 Bells Eccentric Ale (amazing) Dark Horse Imperial Stout, Aventinus Weizenbock, Alley Cat Full Moon, and Boulevard Sixth Glass Quaduprel.
We parked ourselves under a tree and soaked up beers and sun until it was time to go home.

Myself (tree head, it seems):
And the last pic before nap time!

For those interested here's a sample of their latest duck fabric, #95. According to Ryo & Hiro the #95 is sanfordized and a lighter OZ than the #81. There's pics of their new logger pant in the #95 a few posts down on their blog. I'm thinking of trying the #95 on my messenger bag, I like the darker color.

I wonder if that is the new #95 duck fabric Ryo and Hiro were talking about in an e-mail I sent last week. I've been thinking about buying a duck messenger bag from them and they had mentioned a new type of duck coming soon.
