^ Respect for working past retirement ageWhat's a Hoosier?
Haha, Hoosiers are what some people call people from the state of Indiana. Apparently it's official, according to Wikipedia. I don't really use the term, and I suppose you don't either!
Edit: oh , and Indiana University calls their sports teams Hoosiers

^ Great prices on the website above!(But I think his English bridle is actually American.)
Definitely is American sourced leather and a pretty great price. I suppose he calls it English Bridle because of his tanning and treatment process.
The quality of my two belts is excellent and I'm happy to support any independent tradesman out there, especially a fellow Hoosier . I think Skip is in his 70's now, so it's pretty cool to see he's still doing what he likes.

Those are really nice belts what site did you order that belt from arcarsenal? His site is http://www.leatherbeltsbyskip.com/ The belt in the previous post is his 1.5" English bridle leather belt.
Just spent a week in Vegas with the belt and combined with the desert dryness and my late night antics, the belt is aging nicely.

Here's some pictures of my new brown belt. 10 oz US steer, made by a guy named Skip Joacim from southern Indiana. I actually found his site via Google and decided to support my state economy and give him an order. At $22 bucks, it's was a worthy gamble. Having never heard of him, I didn't know what to expect, but his site said he'd been making belts for over 30 years. I replaced the original buckle from one I bought from Tandy.

I just submitted a bunch of invoices to clients so with some fuckin' luck we'll be helping each other out soon. Gotta change my wording to payment net 15... 30 days is way too long. Those 003s look great....
edit: could I see a fit pic of the 003's if it's not too much trouble?

Great denims here... All my size and my price range... my next client check can't come soon enough! Will be in touch sooner or later.

Was going to wait a few days until I reunited with my brother to share some updated pictures now that the jeans are starting to be less stiff and and falling a bit nicer. Will have some stuff by the weekend.

Looks like some worn in beeswax leather to me

I'm hoping they stay stocked and eventually get hooked up with a heavy discount... would be excellent.
edit: however, on the flipside, I wouldn't want Warehouse being discouraged from collaborations like this in the future.

Can't rep you again, Riff but your pups look like some real rascals! Makes me wish I had my dog here with me in the city.

So you've tried this on raw, right? And they are too small even then?

I'm guessing this is post wash/ soak - Are they too big? Could you perhaps provide a fit pic?

arcarsenal - Goat leather patch looks great. How does it look after wash/soak?
Here's a pic after the soaks and drying. I treated it with a little bit of mink oil around the seams and edges and just rubbed the excess into the patch. Drying hasn't shunk it much yet, but I have yet to give them a proper wash. After the soaks a bit of the indigo bled on to the patch so it's ever so slightly blue. A little of the brown from my cheapo temporary belt bled a bit too, but both colors are not really that noticeable.
I really dig the grain on the patch.
edit: Here's some ever so subtle blueing as a bonus

Definitely going to grab that Mister Freedom T from the Gap, thanks for the heads up. At the price, I might even grab 2, Gap T or not!

I hear you.. Intense rear pocket blow outs come from my intense, Costanza wallets, which I've done away with recently. Let's see if the lined pockets in my Ooes will blow the hell out out too.
I'm probably going to sit down after the match tomorrow and start repairs on the Denime's so I can continue to wear them once in a while. Hopefully.

haha, I wasn't trying to stir the kettle about thread types, just commenting mostly because of my rear pocket stitching. I can't keep my wallet or phone in them anymore because they might slip out the bottom!
Really, I think these wore so hard and so fast because they were almost too small for me for half the time I wore them - that will tear any garment up. But hey, they're just jeans, right ?
But dudes giving each other ass fades? I don't know about that...

Thanks for the votes of confidence about the fits guys, I think we're both warming up to them now. Just got to get used to a higher rise! I really dig the more traditional cut though, and I'm glad I went with it.
daiwei69, my brother did a hot soak then a hot wash with a machine dry. I opted for two hot soaks with a line dry and 30 minute machine dry, so I'm thinking all the shrinkage is out, but perhaps one more wash will eventually do it as well. How long did you wear your Ooe's until you washed?
Sigur Rós, just axe Ryo & Hiro - they're very accommodating guys. If you noticed, my brother and I got custom lot numbers with our initials, so the sky is the limit when it comes to customization.

Our post-soak fits. What do you all think? I think we both sized a bit too big, but we didn't want the typical sufu fit. I'm worried because my waist fist perfectly after the soak, and any stretch is going to make an already loose jean even looser...

I wouldn't worry too much about it, aside from the northwest corner of the state, the majority is not much to write home about. Mostly pretty flat, with farmland. Lots of corn. Can be pretty in the Autumn, though.
