Not really true, but still a good guideline. Both Ande Whall and Roy have used unsanforized Cone denim. It is pretty rare though

yeah, definitely seem too big. My pair is the exact same size and cut and looks nothing like that. The back pockets are rather large and low for me as well, but your fit in the legs seems off. I agree that a hem would help out immensely

Groove - I've got nothing against Miles or LSU, but I'm a diehard Georgia fan (have to save my hate for Florida). You're right about those drops. They demolished us in the 2nd half, but who knows what could've happened if we had a bit more momentum on our side

It may be a problem with how sufu isn't recognizing capital letters. Check your links, and if they have any uppercase letters, edit your post in HTML mode by clicking the switch in the upper left corner of the toolbox. From there, you can manually fix the links. This is what I had to do with my imgur links

So when will they finally arrive? I'm confident I will not be seeing the jeans until next week. So it's unlikely that I will be making the Dec 1, 2011 start date.

When I checked my tracking this weekend, it said the same thing. 2 days later they arrived, so you could be in good shape

I came in to work this morning with a New Zealand post package sitting on my desk. The jeans look fantastic. I'll try to post some pics when I get off work (including Ande's doodle of a robot jumping out of a box)

Yeah, I think we should wait until at least Dec 1st. Anyone who gets their pairs this week can start then, and any stragglers can start when their pairs come in.

Hopefully, this will mean there is no more than a week's difference in start times, which really shouldn't have any measurable effect by the end of the contest.

Anyways, let's see what others have to say. But I think Dec. 1st is pretty fair.

Also, how are we going to prove start date unless everyone does a soak? I guess we'll just have to be on the honor system. I discussed this a bit with Ande via email and we are both sort of against too many rules. No one likes rules.

I'm for starting whenever you get your pair. I'm practically vibrating right now anticipating these jeans, so waiting will be like slow torture. What if the day they arrive the person has to post with a local paper (date clearly visible) and from that date they have one year?? I have seen this done in other contests on SUFU and thought it was a good idea. Thats my two cents. Did anyone get in touch with ALEOPOLD?

I'm not sure how the start date should go really, totally up to you guys. The prize a jacket, which was what it was going to be originally? Or another pair of jeans, the winner can choose.

A few on the sufu list are slow pokin', so as previously posted hopefully we can get things sorted by friday. I have had loads of e-mails asking for spots, so after friday will have to open the rest up through the shop.

Yeah, people need to pick up the pace! Otherwise too bad, so sad...

If you end up opening up the web store to sell the rest, It'd be great if you could let non-sufu folks know about the contest thread in case they are interested in joining in
