@robotbox That's a bummer, wanted to give mine a hot wash/dry since its a bit roomy on the top block. I'll give mine a try nonetheless.

Please share your results! if you have better luck maybe I'll give it another shot

  2. This news is really bumming me out.  I discovered Ande through SuFu back in 2008 just as I was learning about raw denim.  I decided my first pair would be from Ande, so I placed an order (first batch of selvage grifters) and waited patiently for my package to arrive from NZ.  I was blown away by the quality and have been hooked ever since.

I've talked to Ande a few times over the years and he always seemed like a great dude.  Glad I got to experience his excellent work.

  3. Thanks for the information guys!  I knew y'all would be able to find some details.  So from the WH site it looks like they are using 1001xx denim?

I don't believe Bravery has an online presence.  I got these thanks to a dude on reddit who is an American living in Japan.  He's pretty new to denim, but he stumbled across Bravery and posted some pics of these jeans in r/rawdenim.  I thought they looked good, and my 660's are on the verge of retirement, so I asked if he could be my proxy.  Thankfully it worked out and the jeans fit pretty nice.

I'll try to get some measurements and some fit pics up soon, though I may wait until I get them hemmed.  I wanna go with a single cuff

  4. Haven't been on SuFu in a hot minute, but I just picked up some jeans that I think may be of interest to all the Warehouse fiends.

Tsugaru Jeans from a shop called Bravery in Hirosaki.  Made by Warehouse.  This pair has been one-washed.  The arcs are supposed to represent the Neputa festival floats, but I am going to pick them out to Levi's arcs.  That's about all I know, but if anyone can shed additional light on them (type of denim for example) I'd be interested to hear more.

Please excuse the crappy pics.  My apartment doesn't have the best lighting and it's dumping snow in NYC right now.

  5. Because I live in the US, and the no refund policy coupled with my utter incompetence with sizing makes for one scared Sagan.

No need to be scared, there's no guesswork to be done. I've owned 3 pairs of AW's and every time Ande's posted measurements have been extremely accurate. Just measure a pair of your own jeans and choose accordingly. I was nervous when I bought by first pair, but now I trust Ande completely, you just have to do your sizing homework.

  6. Hi guys. I just wanted to post to let the superfuture community know that I'm working at Left Field for Christian up in NY now. I'm excited to see where his brand goes, and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to see how it all happens.

Ah shit! I met you last night at the Atlas party. Thought you looked familiar.
