  1. Took my Alden Roy boots to get resoled and have some repairs done. Really pleased with the outcome. They buffed them to a high sheen which I am not in love with but don't mind... it will wear off quickly the way I wear my boots.

    They had to build a proper heel

    I was wearing through the inner heel because the boots stretched out so they glued and sewed in a piece of leather on the inside to cover the holes.

  2. Just took my Alden Roy boots in for new soles and a few repairs. I am getting the Vibram mini lug sole put on for a little more durability and because I wore a hole on the inside heel of on the right boot they are stitching in a 3 inch wide leather stip on the inside heel of each boot from the insole to the top of the ankle. This is the sole I chose from what they had. Can't wait to get them back. Pictures when they are done.

  3. both indigo and black dior jawnz need repairing

    best place to fix a hole in the crotch: sydney's or studio kim?

    ive heard that service is terrible at sydneys and studio kim make you wash your jeans which is not happening.

    any one had experience with either and how much did it cost?

    studio kim does the repairs for sydney. sydney doesn't do it himself anymore. hasn't for several years. just go straight to studio kim.

  4. I have a pair of Alden Roy boots I bout about a year ago and have been wearing them to death. I am taking them in for a resole at my local cobbler soon (probably a vibram sole oif some sort, the crepe didn't last long enough) and I was hoping to get the inner heel fixed. When I got the boots they fit perfectly but they stretched a lot and I wore a hole in the inner right hand heel. Does anyone have any experience with having this repaired? I was thinking all it would take is a nice soft piece of leatrher and some bonding agent but I have no idea.

  5. Get Outside perhaps?

    They have Quoddy's at Oliver Spencer. They just got in a few new pairs as well as the new Oliver Spencer shoes in blue, green and brown suede... they are made in the same factory as Mark McNairy's with a sweet danite sole... and a lot less expensive than McNairy's.

  6. I beg to differ. The oxford shirt can be worn untucked no problem. It just depends on what you are looking to do. If you are working tuck it in, if you are not and are going for a relaxed look untuck. Just be careful not to get a shirt with longs tails if you are going to untuck.

  7. Lots of W+H came in Thursday;

    Sweat shorts, shirting, westpoint twill, anti-fit pants, hoody's, etc.

    Tons of Gitman shirting as well. Still some Supreme left (only available at Queen location) and hoping GELLER main line soon. APC re-up, Timex, Silent, EG all on the way.

    For March Break, we're also doing a tax-off thing -- most of you guys already get that but let your people know.

    picked up a nice gitman army green short sleeve... thanks for the heads up!
