  1. My APC's were fun, but they just stretch out too much. My next pair i want a better denim that doesn't stretch so much, and preferably a slim straight cut, without low rise. Whats my options

  3. just spend 5 mins to google some sewing tutorials and start a project first. if you were serious enough you'd have done this already, rather than speculating about how hard it would be.

Thanks, I've done this. But making a t shirt with a hand me down sewing machine ( which i've done), isn't the same as having a machine capable of sewing heavy leather similar to RO style. I ask because you can't google "how to sew a jacket like rick owens" that's why i'm asking here.

  4. listen to me when i say this to you because i'm trying to help you. In order to buy all the equipment, all the materials and learn all the necessary skills to make a leather jacket with similar quality to rick owens you would likely spend at the very least double what a rick jacket costs and very likely much much more.

That being said I wish you nothing but the best in your endeavour. I'm just warning you that its a lot more complex and involved than you might imagine.

thanks for responding. yeah i understand but i'd like to get an idea what i'm dealing with. aside from the actualy jacket materials what else do i need besides a good sewing machine? maybe that shows exactly how naive i am, but i'm interested in learning more becuase i really want to do this, and if not the leather jacket at least t shirts and hoodies

  5. i can't wait to post pics of my APC's. I've worn them hard as hell for about 14 months, and plan to go another three before i get a new pair.

    It's been fun wearing these

  6. I want to make my own leather jacket. I want it to look like a standard cafe racer style but of Rick owens quality, or just comparable to something buttery and nice.

I don't have a lot of experience, but if i put my mind to it I could make one for at least myself.

How would I go about learning how to make a jacket? what books, equipment, videos? and also where can i order the leather and fabrics?

I want my end result to be comparable to Odyn Vovks Ninja Hoodie.

    Thanks guys

  7. I'm really surprised how well this label has taken off. I like a lot of their clothing...jackets, shirts etc.

But what i'm wondering about is, what makes these jeans worth 35 dollars more than apcs, since they are repros of the ns and nc cut? Aside from the leather patch, i don't see why these should cost 200 dollars and apc is 165. is the materials better? from the pictures i've seen apc's fade nicer too, imo.

    just curious

  8. can anyone vouch for the quality? I know the clothes look good and fit well, but how does the jackets hold up over time? I like the cadet jacket but i'm curious of it's construction and longevity

  9. Can someone please link me to pieces that Odyn Vovk so blatantly replicates? I'm not seeing it that much, aside from the overall dark aesthetic of RO, but the pieces in general don't seem that similar.

  10. I just soaked my jeans after months of semi, to regular wear, and they are looking good. very fitted feeling, and the fades look natural and nice. I hear it get's even better after your first soak. cool

  11. I think going out of your way to make your jeans fade is defeating the purpose of what raw denim, i think, is about. Wear them to YOUR lifestyle. Sooner or later you will get fades. APC isn't a magical jean. It's just raw with ingigo., and raw denim will do the same thing after a while .Just do your thing, and don't try to contrive the process

  12. I'll tell my situation. I sized down two on the NS, and about 3 months in, they are about one size bigger than my actual waste. They do stretch alot, but it shouldn't be anything to stress over. Just soak them after the stretch too much
