After watching the Roy video it was very awesome to see him make all those jeans by hand, but it made me wonder...If one person was going to make their very own pair of jeans with a professional look, what machinery is crucial to have?
I already have a Singer 201 sewing machine which is semi industrial. so sewing the denim isn't a problem.
What else? This would be for personal use, so i'm not starting a business here. I just need to bare minimum stuff
Thanks

saw some guy outside the wholefoods in roosevelt seattle, wearing gray common projects and what looked to be like geller slim grey jeans

i wonder why Blackbird never seemed to bother with Ervell. I'd love to get the chance to see some of his stuff in person

I've always liked Junya stuff, and I know he used to work with CDG, but still, CdG and especially PLAY never did anything for me. I feel junya's stuff has an aesthetic i enjoy a lot more. Also, the prices for CDG are insane. 1,000 dollars for a marino wool cardigan.

out there? what pieces this season are any more "out there" than he's ever did? Seems really tame to me
I saw most all the geller pieces today in person. A lot are nice, but i was a bit underwhelmed for some reason. especially when paired with the prices!

Couldn't find a thread, or info in the clothing making thread. But I'm curious to know where one could source song high quality lambskin, baby calf, goat, or suede. Any suggestions, or placed you can point me to?

kiya...
would you guys be willing to sell a half foot of 3sixteen denim to me? Or give me some scraps? I need to repair the crotch on the jeans and a hole in the back pocket and i'd like it to match up with the denim

I;m sure there is a list somewhere on superfuture, but i'm looking for new fashion sites, or blogs. something like inventory.com and scoute. if there is a thread already, please link me. thanks!

i tried a pair of these on and there is no way these cost more than a nickel to make. totally cheap and flimsy, and the fit sucks. but, i like some of the fades in this thread, so maybe it was just me

$175 is bullshit. I love my apc's but I would rather just buy a different jean in a slightly higher price range at this point

so the consensus is that you only size down one on these bad boys?
I'm a 29 in apc's so i'm more like a 30 in 3sixteens?
and what is the main differences between the reg and the + versions? bsp?

Jeez that's just nasty, wash them brah. Damn I hate how forumz brainwashes peeps. There is nothing "brainwashing" about it. Different techniques cultivate different outcomes. I had been washing all my denim "normally" up until recently, so i tried a different approach. More contrasted fades, yet more denim decay.

i'm not gunna be rude or talk shit, but since this debate has opened up i'll point out two things that come to mind.
The sewing is bad. Simple. work on straight stitching or don't use such obvious contrast stitches. other than that, i'm sure things will get better. but the sewing is an eye sore, personally.
