they don't have black duck, right?

my ass is running very thin on my warehouses. I'm afraid to wear them until i fix them, mostly because i ride my bike in them. I have hickory denim that i am planning to just plaster the backside with, should i just use the technique shown in snake's video? i need to suck as much life out of these badboys as possible before i can get a new pair--hopefully another pair of warehouses if Iron heart does not make the black slim fit ducks.... or maybe some MF if i'm feeling a little wild.

wgmds: they should be out within a couple of months... Giles might get the sample very soon, then it's a matter of making them, QT'ing them, and shipping 'm...
The ducks we are doing this year are brown single knee duck based on the 666S, if this goes well, we may do black…G
I'm really hoping on a black pair! also, what does the "S" stand for in 666S?

Ok, Im about to get my Whites started through Baker Shoe. Ive pretty much decided on the style, but there are a few things I need/want some input on.
-Smoke Jumper in Black cxl
-8"
- Bounty Hunter
-Antique eye and hooks (nickel or black)
-Natural Cuban heel, lowered 1/4" (I prefer standard)
Here's what I am going back and forth on:
-Pull loop or no pull loop? (I would on an 8 inch)
-Single or double sole? Im not going to be wearing these in the woods. Mostly urban wear, with occasional shit kicking.(double sole looks excessive on a regular shoe, imo)
-I want double welt, so that means standard sole trim. I have seen some leather soled whites with the standard trim and it just looks odd. Will the added thickness or the composite sole (plus potential double sole) balance the look out?, (if you look at my shoes, you'll be able to tell. half sole with standard trim)
-Lastly, lined or not? Im leaning towards not lined, but I have never had any unlined boots in anything greater than 4" chukka's (lined is going to be warmer. plain and simple.)
but hey, opinions are just like assholes....

those are the black ones, no? i'm a little confused.

Yup, they're not really over the top warm even though they're quite windproof for their weight.
cool. so they're about 14 oz or so? thick enough to have my not freeze my ass off in 30 degree winters?

so i emailed john at mf and got a great, honest response. i'm really trying to convince myself that i could wear those pique pants through a 30 degree winter, but that's wishful thinking, right?

i mean, it all depends. they're definitely not a super difficult break in time shoe, but are you actually working in construction or whatever? if not, the leather isn't going to matter much more than aesthetics. my indys are looking pretty good and worn after living in them for a while, but they're also a thin, canvas lined leather. cxl is no 1/8 inch thick leather, but it's nice. just remember, ed's a construction worker (i'm not trivializing his high end/ more contractor side of his profession or whatever) and he's beating up his shoes and if you're just a casual wearer, then it's pretty much up to taste. go for the smooth or dress if you're concerned.

are the gibson jungle cloth pants a possible substitute for an everyday, year round pair of pants?

i saw 600 on there yesterday. maybe they're still toying with the price?

what's custom about your left fields?
these were made at the time when left field's size 30 was a true 32. emailed him back and forth for a long time and he was kind enough to make me a pair in waist 30. now those pants are made in that size, but hey, i'll take something that can make me sound fancier

thanks for the advice, but more broke than broke could be. 6 bills is way too rich for my blood.

6'0 135lbs. the zip is killing me, but i'll get used to it. seems like a more fiscally responsible choice for me since the closest substitute is the sugarcane junglecloths for 100$ more, and since i have no job or money, i'll accept the zipper.

awesome! you guys rock. so are these a weight that's good for all year (14oz equivalent or so)? and here's the last question, they'll be replacing my jeans as everyday pants, so are they strong enough as non riveted blah blah blah? i think i would rather have these than a pair of iron heart logger pants.

so my life just got flipped on its head. i'm considering my next pants purchase to be non denim pants. more specifically, black pants. i'm thinking about the speedway piques, anyone have a pair and care to help a brother out with a review?

Might get rid of my face, but i think y'all know what i look like.
so i just realized that these black pants actually fit me! pumped for all black outfits.
