  1. Nothing with spandex in it is anything I would call good...inherently.  You're less likely to find spandex in fuller cuts than in the skin tight cuts that spandex is in some ways useful with.

What is it that you are trying to achieve, perhaps its something that could be addressed with the right combination of cut and denim without spandex.

Thanks for the info. I just have a hard time being comfortable in jeans now a days, I'm 5'7 195lbs and powerlift so I have a lot of size in my legs. Right now the only pair of jeans that I have which I like are my Iron Hearts 634S in 36. But I would like something with a tad slimmer profile that is not extremely constricting, so I thought a stretch denim might be nice. Slim profile to me is still a large cut though. I've tried a lot of stuff from Sugar Can 1947, various Samurais, various Levis repros, etc.

  2. Got two items up for sale. I'm would also consider trades for denim in size 36 and shirts in Large/X-Large of the same style.

  3. How slim are the New 66's, I see measurments but sometimes I can never tell hip tightness through measurments. For reference I wear a 1947 Sugar Canes in size 34 that fit well all stretched out, looking at a size 36 New 66.

  4. I have some suspicion that a made to measure jean I bought which I chose a 50% cotton 50% sugar can denim with a green selvedge line is in fact the Okinawas denim. Could this be possible?

  5. Thanks for the advice.

Send jeans to Denim Therapy in NYC.

    Also, HEY!!

Hey Chen. Okay, will do. I've actually used them before to reinforce a crotch, taper a pair of jeans, and chainstitch hem something. Was happy with their work. Read some negative stuff here which made me re-think sending them my Sugar Canes which I value a lot more than the APCs I've sent them.

  6. What's the chances of a local tailor doing that Darner process? Want to get a pair of sugar canes repaired but I don't want it done sloppy or with patches. Guess I could ask them it, but dont want them to tell me yes and mess it up guessing how to do it. In Raleigh, NC if anyone can help. Thanks!

  7. I have some repro Levis that fit me alright. I have really big hamstrings from powerlifting. They are a 1944 fit. I'd like to try other denim that have large thighs. Right now I need something with a 13"-13.5" thigh and a 12"-12.5" rise

*Sorry for dirty room, had people staying with me all weekend.

  8. I'm interested in beefing up my every day carry. I'm a big fan of people who can follow a certain aesthetic or theme with all their items. I only have two items for my EDC and was hoping someone could assist me in finding a theme / aesthetic to persue. I am currently looking for a knife to match what I have:

  9. Found some Levis today thrifting for a few bucks. They are Levis 505 Made in USA Cone denim. Leather patch. the right pocket bags have a red stamp that saids Levis Made in USA Con Denim for NC while the left pocket has a stamp about Levis vintage clothes. Any way to ID what year these were made?

  10. I dunno man. I'm just not liking that fit. You look like you obviously work out, but it's evident you send much more time on your upper body than lower body. The really tight shirt and baggy pants accentuate your scrawny legs.
