If you get the model number from the context site -2877- I did it for you... Just email russell and they will make you one. Might have to be a purchase for next summer though....
Ah yes, good point. 20 weeks is almost winter time Hmm get the shoe I want and delay satisfaction or get immediate satisfaction from Red Wing..
edit: Eh not really sure how I feel about that testimonial page on their website for the boot.

Anyone got recommendations, looking for a summer boot.
Was originally going to get these Russell Mocs but they are sold out in my size. So now I'm looking at these Red Wings.

I've been wearing the Context x Dickies jacket a lot. Wish I had a decent camera to take pictures of it.

I think that's a fade!

Thanks for the additional information I think I should grab a pair of Okinawa's one of these days instead of the 2009s.

I see, thanks for the info! I think the '47 is the best cut for my build.

Nice 2009. Does anyone have a pair of 1947 and 2009 in the same size? Does the 2009 just taper more from the knee down? Same sorta anti fit in the hips and thigh?

Thank you! I've considered investing in getting them repaired. They have a ton of holes, both knees that started out with wear from asphalt but I'd rip the hole larger when stepping through the pant and getting a toe stuck, hah. And right pocket hole from tools poking through.

My little collection of 1947s; left is size 34 Hard Wash (semi retired), middle is size 34 Raw soaked once, right is size 36 one wash.

So do the okinawas get soft after a long time of wear? I have a 50% cotton 50% sugarcane fiber pair of custom made and they were so itchy I couldn't get through the break in process. (I tried to search this thread, read 20 pages but didn't find it)
I got my '47 raws today, it was great to soak the denim for the first time and wear it right after. Jean Shop Ave also included packets of Sugar Cane detergent! I put my other pair of 47s up in the closet to retire until the end of my next bulk cycle.

ColdsnapBryan,
Your honesty is brutal but appreciated -- today is my 59th birthday. More sit-ups and Rogaine!
I'm leaning toward the 36's, but you've got me thinking the_spirit.

Happy Birthday! Didn't mean it as an insult I just meant leave the tighter pants for the rockers and the young kids. I think the samurais look the best out of the three, seems like a great cut.

Sweet, is there a good link for product description of both?

36s, you look like you're at the age where you can appreciate comfort over silhouette

Seriously though, what denim compares to '47s at $133? There's none! Cut is amazing. By the way are the Hawaiis, Okinawas the same cut as '47? I

in case anyone was wondering what the "S" denim looks like faded, Bears is selling pre-distressed models:
As someone who weight changes a lot so my jean rotation changes all the time, I'm starting to come around on pre-distressed jeans. Those look great.

Sweet, thanks! Got me a raw pair, never seen this denim in its raw state.

Anyone know a good store on rakuten selling 1947s? Hinoya is sold out in 34.

Ah, I should stay away from the 1108 then. Seems like 0105 would bet better for me, I have really big legs from powerlifting. Currently breaking in a pair of Sugar Cane 1947 in size 36 but the waist is about 2" too big and the knee and hem are way too big

Thanks for all the information people, where can I buy the SH model with EMS shipping to USA?

Do the Real Mccoys sweater have a vintage fit or are they fitted smaller for the Japan market? I'm 5'7" 200lbs and thinking of L or XL.

I think most jeans will give you 2" of stretch eventually (or stretch back to their raw measurement) but it may cause some damage. Were they previously at 36" and shrank after a wash or have you just bought them as one wash?
I bought them as a one wash new from Japan. My size 35 actually measure more in the waist and I got a 36 because I needed some more waist room, heh.

Yea, it honestly just stopped me, at least today, in placing an order. I understand that people have their hobbies along with their own personal way to have fun and relax. But I certainly don't want to wear a boot that is associated with that type of activity. To each his own though, damn shame because it's a good looking boot. I guess maybe if I have the Context one made it's not the EXACT same boot, but very similar.
