From my experience with my multiple pair of 1947s: the waist will stretch out to raw, front rise stays, back rise stretches a tad, thighs stretch, leg opening stays.

I need me a pair of those. Are they itchy?
They probably shrinked some in the soak, but they will stretch out fairly close to the raw measurement. Could you do full measurements for the size 33? I'm curious.

So 5000 would be the largest cut of the anniversary 16oz organic? I am interested in a pair. Currently wearing 1947 Sugar Canes in 34, I usually like to go TTS so the waist fits nicely, but I need lots of thigh room.

Erk, it was pushed back to august first.
And from seeing some participants joining via Instagram I reckon your friend probably can tag along for the ride.
Link me to the Instagram? I need to fill out my feed with interesting stuff.

My 1947s feel a bit loose when standing, but when I sit im so glad I have that extra thigh and front rise. I'm 5'7" and will bounce between 175-200lbs and 34s work well for me.

Looks good for your build. I need to try that cut eventually.

Nice. I've got a pair of Okinawas or Hawaii on my want list once these 1947s get nice and broken into.

Not sure if this helps, my Iron Heart 643s in size 36 vs Sugar Cane 1947 in size 34. The shorter front rise makes the thigh feel tighter imo.

Thats a great fit, if you went smaller that back rise would be up your arse. I know what you mean about everything being too small or big. As I near 30 I worry less of obtaining perfect fit and just focus on wearing and enjoying the garments I like.

Warehouse 800s, size 34. Asking for $100+ shipping. Worn only a few times. Simply too big. Cutting a huge lost on them.

I want to see these green selvedge line organic jeans 2014.

Girlfriend ripped through a crotch in a pair of Raleigh Denim in under 12 months. Sort of upset because they were $255 and not selvedge but cone denim.
but maybe this is common in girls jeans.

I really want to join because I like larger fit jeans , but I just think these are just too similar to the SC '47s I'm breaking in. Unless someone can talk me into it

Ok, so seems like Hawaiis run larger than Okinawas. Going from those measurements.

Anyone have a pair of Eternals 833 or 811 and can compare to sugar cane 1947 in same size? I've had the contest eternals from so long ago, I cannot remember the measurments. But I'm looking for a jean like my size 34 sugar canes that has a slightly smaller leg opening. 833 seem way to fitted for me

Do jean jackets loose their creases and stacks if you hang them up for summer? Sorta like jeans do if you let them sit for months on end.

This has probably been answered here already, but I'm a lazy so-and-so and can't be bothered to read every post: is there anything that can be done about hip flare? I get it to varying degrees on all my jeans and it doesn't bother me that much, but if there's a way of stopping it happening, I'd like to know.

Going to take a NYC trip soon to visit friends. Stopping in at BIG and trying on some full counts is top of my list.

Interesitng. Size 34 1947 fit pretty good on me, will be a better fit when I gain 5 more lbs. I was thinking of getting a Okinawa in size 34.

I'd say so! Love cordovan creases. What last is that on?

Wow, not here too. Everyone these days seems to be offended just to be offended. I can not believe you guys are honestly letting something dictate what you wear. You should probably do some research on the treatment of animals in the food and leather industry. Surely you wouldn't wear alligator, snake, deer or a lot of other animal products. Because they are specifically hunted or raised for this reason..... I guess deer skin patched jeans are a no no too huh ? There is no difference between trophy hunting and killing animals for material products in my eyes...... And no, I am not a hunter.
These are endangered species we are talking about though; lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and elephants. Species that are not going to be around in the very near future. When I have a piece of clothing I like to consider the history and what it stands for if anything. I'm not saying Russell as a whole is morally vacant, but I was just surprised to see that.
Didn't mean to derail the thread. Here's my contribution, Aldens Roy Boot about 4 years old and treated pretty good.
