  1. Use the mirror. I hate it when people care so much about the number on the scale. You should focus on how you look and your body composition. If you're looking to lose fat, then keeping a solid diet under maintenance (burning more calories than you eat) is the only way to really do so. So either eat less or do more cardio. I would suggest lifting weights still, and having a diet high in protein. This will help you keep muscle while losing fat.

  2. Yeah BB.com is amazing. I pretty much amassed my entire exercise and nutrition knowledge from that site.

Calvin Oscar, don't worry about getting "huge". You wont work out for a week and all of a sudden have gained 20 pounds of muscle or anything. It's very gradual. Just try out the plan I outlined, and once you hit your goals you can go a bit easier and do more cardio to lean out.

There really isn't such a thing as "toning". You can build muscle by weight lifting and proper nutrition, then use cardio and nutrition to cut your body fat percentage down. Doing that will make your muscles show through more. Let me know if you have any more questions.

  3. If you're looking to build muscle, stay away from doing too much cardio for awhile. You are probably a hard gainer, and you need as much calories as you can get.

I would suggest going to the gym perhaps 3x a week doing a full-body routine. They are great for starting strength and mass building. Some people think going to the gym 5-6 days a week is ideal, but the truth is over-training is worse than under-training in most cases. If you do it 3 days a week, you will be better rested and your muscles will really grow.

You will want to focus on the following exercises:

    The Squat

    The Power Clean

    The Bench Press

    The Deadlift

These are your best mass and strength builders. As far as a routine, split it up into Routine A and Routine B. First week do Routine A on monday, Routine B on Wednesday and Routine A again on Friday. The next week, do Routine B on monday, Routine A on wednesday and Routine B again on friday. Continue to alternate like that.

    Routine examples:

    Workout A

    Squats: 3 x 5

    Bench Press: 3 x 5

    Deadlift: 1 x 5

    Dips (weighted): 2 x 5-8

    Workout B

    Squats: 3 x 5

    Bench Press: 3 x 5

    Power Clean: 3 x 5

    Chin-ups: 3 x 8

You can throw in some weighted sit-ups and hyper-extensions in both routines to get your core into great shape as well. You can also add in Skullcrushers for triceps and any bicep exercise of your choosing (preacher curl, bicep curl etc.).

It's important to start off at lower weights to get your body used to it all. Then you can ramp up your intensity and really get into it.

This is just my suggestion and what worked great for me. Later on you can get into isolation exercises and like a 4-day split.

BTW most of what I posted is stuff I learned from Mark Rippetoe's book "Starting Strength".

  4. also if you think a $34 t-shirt is expensive, you are in the wrong place.

also if you like these t-shirts you are in the wrong place.

I think $34.00 for a Street Fighter T-shirt is expensive, and the only reason I like them is because they're Street Fighter related and since SF4 is dropping soon, I pretty much love everything related to SF.

Capcom changed M. Bison/boxer to "Balrog" because they wanted to prevent being sued by Tyson once SFII became localized. They also didn't choose "Vega" for boxer's name because Capcom thought it sounded too wimpy.
That's exactly why. To prevent confusion, most people who play SF refer to Balrog as "Boxer", M.Bison as "Dictator" and Vega as "Claw".
  5. I didn't think this belongs in superfashion, but anyone who is a video game nerd like myself might appreciate this. You can buy T-shirts based off of Street Fighter characters; specifically the evil organization Shadaloo.

Other than being pricey, I think the stuff actually looks half-decent, not that I'm going to buy any of it. I already dropped enough on reserving SF4 and buying a new arcade stick for ps3.

You can check the stuff out here: http://triumvirstore.3dcartstores.com/Triumvir-x-Street-Fighter_c_20-1-0.html

Also, I thought this music video was pretty hilarious and well made:

Once again, if you aren't into video games, specifically Street Fighter, you will find this thread very gay and nerdy.

  6. I'm an assistant manager at a Cinnabon bakery. I'm a cinnavet. Got 4.5 years of experience. Get at me!

BTW Mochalatta and Caramelatta are no longer for sale once our stock runs out. Get that shit while you can.

  7. I love CC and granola.

I also just made my own protein bars. I have 10 pounds on ON Chocolate and I fucking hate the taste of it mixed with water. All the other protein powders I've bought I've actually ENJOYED the taste.

Well, I figured mixing the protein with oats, milk and natty PB then refridgerating will hopefully make a nice treat and puts the shitty protein to use.

  8. Mary Browns has awesome wedges, I've never tried the fried chicken though. There's one really close to my house, maybe I'll check it out sometime soon. I also made sure to hit up the ribfest this year. Pretty expensive, but nothing beats a rack of ribs and a couple of cold beers in the summer.

  9. I like 100% Isolates. What's all the hype around ON 100% gold standard? I have tried many different brands, and ON is easily the most watery whey I've ever had. I only drink whey mixed with water (sometimes oats too) unless I'm using it for an on the go meal, then I'll add milk/bananas/oats.

I have a 10lb bag on "double rich" chocolate. They have a lot of nerve calling it double rich...

All The Whey chocolate mint is easily the best tasting out there. I highly reccomend it.

  10. I'm going. Saw them tonight and I was directly against the fucking stage. I'm still in awe how amazing they were and how close I got to one of my favourite bands in existence. Born Ruffians opened and did a fantastic job aswell.

  11. Yeah, I'm on there everyday, mainly stick to the nutrition section though. Weighted dips are awesome. I also like weighted bench dips for the triceps.

Wide-grip pullups are awesome for your back too.
