  1. Hey,

I´ve just received two new pairs of jeans, a 1933 501XX from LVC Season 1 2006, which I´m a bit confused of, the tags all read L34 but actually it´s a L37. Is that usual with 1933s? The second pair is an Edwin made 1937 Lee Hair on Hide, which als measure way too long, the tags read L33 but measures L38, do the shrink much in length? I hope so! Many thanks mates!

  2. I know that belongs to the supermarket, but why not put in here, lots of links to shops appeared in here so why not mine;) and by the way it´s 1971 517-0217 saddleman bootcut jean, the one Paul T was talkin of, it´s a Valancia Street LVC Version :), I only sell because I´ve got another pair that is in my right size...

517 are still part of the US Levi collection and were preduced in the 1970s-1980s as Red Tab(I´ve got a nice deadstock 1986 version, I love it) and as Orange Tab which I don´t like that much, the cut hasn´t changed really much since there introduction in

    1971.

  3. Hm... I´m an Levis Vintage Clothig addict, my favs are the S501xx, but the fit that bad on the ass, looks like some poo came into it, I don´t care that much. In the other hand I want o look good in jeans, especially for the girls and I don´t want them to think that me got a fat ass, so I usually don´t buy jeans with bad ass cuts, only with LVCs I don´t care, because they are authentic that way... btw. REVOKE! the NUDIE SLIM JIMs do a great as my girlfriend told me ;)

  4. you´re right mike, it could be shown in a museum... I like the patches, it´s authentic and got a story, I´d say it´s more interesting than a deadstock jean...

fine! I´m curious of how the 44s fit others...

  5. Hey Mike,

I´m breakin in a pair of those 44s, for 6 month now, pics are in the evolution threat... and yes these are very loose fitting, got a saggy ass... By the way, I saw the pair you bought few minutes ago on ebay, but didn´t bought them because my W32 are tooo large and W34 would be a tent for me... If you usually wear W34-35, these should fit great because they don´t shrink more than a 1/2 to 1 inch in waist. anyway my favourite 501 style, hope to get em in W29-30 one day =)

  6. yes of course it has, but oil clothpatch with red tab and diamond arcuates doesn´t work... the diamond shape came in 1947 when exposed rivets and cinchbacks had been gone long before....

  7. today I was in a secondhand shop, I saw some nice deadstock selvage jeans and noticed that these were levi 201 thai fakes... holy crap, they sold em for 150Euro(about 200$)!!! ...the quality of these felt really amazing... but a 201 with oil cloth patch, backbocket rivets, braces buttons, red tab, diamond shaped arcuate stiching and cinchback!? tsss!!! ;)

  8. yes man, get em, I will order myself a pair, had these in my hands today at Lee flagshipstore in berlin(199€ so far) and was delighted by the feeling of the denim, the rivets and butttons... btw. there is thread for these beatles Lee stuff, where I read that 101z´s shrink to 32 1/2" , so no problem;)

  9. I always wonder if the denim of the thai is faked selvage aswell, otherwise I heared that years ago Levi´s sold all narrow shuttle looms to Asia, when the start using open end denim...

  10. The fit is obvious not a vintage one, I guess they took either new selfmade patterns or

pattern of standart levi´s jeans, to me it looks likr a US 511 cut... and I don´t think they had been tailored. If you like that jean and did not pay too much, be glad...
