  1. Help please! I bought these 606 at the bay, the seller said these are LVC prototypes, but the button shows the 8, isn´t the 8 am evedence for real vintage levis ???

I´m not into the button thing only no that 555 and 554 are US made LVCs... so what does the 8 stand for? Many thanks :)

  2. infact there were orange and red tab versions of the 517, I have a valencia street red tab 517 which is really great, heavy, heavy denim... I´d like to get some new repros of em though...

  3. how much will shrimk my 1937s 101s the inseam is 37" now and not as stated 33" ???

actually I don´t wanna wash em because the denim seams much heavier when rigid, but infact it´s only 11 1/2oz...

  4. One more question regarding the 67 505 sizing. Where my jeans sit my waist measures 32" - 32.5". Which size do i need 30, 31 or 32 ?

If you usually wear W32 jeans, I´d go for a W32 but only with 505s from the season

2007 because they fit true to size, older 505s fit slimmer in waist, then go for W34 I´d say.

    THANKS ROB!!!

  5. don´t now why but this ugly celebs reminds of the 1980s bon jovi :P

em Rob could please show us what else came out in 2003, there should be 2 pages more with the booklet, we need for our LVC catalgue thread =)

but that 1911 MC5 waiscoat is really cool!!!

  6. I´m a bit disappointed that they don´t use shirt cloth pocket lining this time, what would be more authentic to 44s... I´ve got the 1999 and a 2005 44 and these aren´t lighter than 47s...

infact 44s must be 37s without cinch, crotch rivet and arcuate stitches...

  7. it´s only a little smaller, like 55s I´d say... as far as I know, are the 08 44s made of lightweight denim such as the 201s, but the pairs I have from 99-2005 are between 13-14oz...

  8. the last 44s from few years back fit oversized, so if you usually wear w30 you shoud by w30 disregarding that those are shrink to fit, the legs are straight, something between the 37s and 47s, the ass is saggy always saggy, if don´t want that size down one to two sizes... one thing is that LVC changed the fit of the 44s from 1999 to 2004

from a real straight (nearly 47s like) to fuller cut with wider leg opening but not as wide as of 33s... btw: 1944s are the coolest 501s imo =)

  9. Actually the 505s were the first sanforized jeans made by levis. That oipolloi link is wrong, because they say they are preshrunk, but they are just sanforized. They will shrink a bit, but nothing like 10%.

oipolloi is not that wrong, because the tag of the new 505s says that these will shrink aprox. 10% which as much as 1947 shrink, I guess it´s because they are made of kaihara japan denim last year... but when L32s are actually L34 it´s not bad if they shrink, the length is more important, every waistband will stretch back with some wear and

if it doesn´t work that fast, try my stretch method:

    ;)

  10. Ok i'm confused. I though the lvc 505 was from 1967 and also sanforized. According to this the 505 is 1966 and unsanforized

don´t worry the 505s are now a bit oversized, my are W30 L33 but actually fit like W31 L34, so they will shrink down to the stated size, I hope!

By the way: I soaked my 505s for 4-5 hours in boiling water and the only shrank down in waist but no inch in length, this is somehow odd I think, odd for 10% shrinkage!?????

  11. Why to hell, does LVC europe never offer the 606s 646s or now the 517s which I really

    want!?????? ):-(

The new european spring line is boring except of the s501xx which unfortunately will be made of lightweight denim only...

  12. Okay guys, Denim knows I´m miserable now, so I need to get some money,

I´ve listed some nice 555 1955, worn once at home, these are W(30)29-30 L(40)36,

I usually wear W29-30 and those fit slim on me, a nice way to wear 55s undersized.

The denim is really heavy, at least 14oz.
