  1. The apartment above me is rented out as some sort of holiday apartment thing. For the last couple of weeks every Friday has heralded the coming of a new group of holidaying cwgs. I feel like I'm living in the cwg thread.

  2. Has anyone got these shoes to sell? I said I'd try to get them for a female friend; she wants them to match her red wayfarers and the red and white polka dot silk scarf she wears on a daily basis. Need them in a 39.

  3. My concern about the colour is exactly the same; my wardrobe just seems to be a sea predominantly of black and greys of varying hues. I also feel I have too many cardigans. That said, I am quite taken with this one though, and if it's nice and warm I think I may well go for it as the price is not exorbitant. Thanks for info.

  4. I rowed for my university in my second year. It was the hardest physical activity I've ever done and took up all, literally all, of my free time. At least you'll have time to do other things than just study and row.

  5. most time is douche CWD's or gay dudes. there's an overabundance of both at my school.

This is the first time I've seen a guy wearing them. Even for cwgs the image is kind of jarring; it being the effeminate boot that it is. I suppose it was only a matter of time though as they're pretty much part of the seemingly compulsory female uniform here: messy birds nest type hair, man's shirt, padded gilet, denim mini skirt/skinny jeans, and ugg boots. The shirt and the gilet are already sported by most of the men of the same ilk anyway, so maybe it's a natural progression.

  6. I'm kind of annoyed that because of the scheduling of one class I have to go in for one measly hour three days a week; I'd rather more hours on a single day. I have:

    Monday: 10am - 11am

    Tuesday: 11am - 1am

    Wednesday: 10am - 11am

    Thursday: Free

    Friday: 10am - 11am

Next semester I'll be free on Monday too.

A friend of mine's timetable looks like this:

    Monday: Free

    Tuesday: 11am - 1pm & 2pm - 4pm

    Wednesday: Free

    Thursday: Free

    Friday: Free

  7. As busy I find myself at the moment in my final year, I think I'm definitely going to be sad to leave. My younger sister started university this year and she's not really enjoying the academic aspects. When I think about times when I've felt overwhelmed with work at particularly busy periods, the fact that I really enjoy my subjects has been a lot of help. My advice to anyone going to university is to make sure you really enjoy what you're doing. There are some things that I didn't enjoy at first, but they have either become enjoyable and interesting as my understanding as increased or I've been able to jettison them as I've progressed through the programme. Freshers often need to give things more time rather than just bitch and moan that they're not enjoying their degree.

This post sounds really cheesy, I know.

  8. I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on a certain kind of coat that I'd like. I'm looking for a long, wool coat, preferably in dark grey or black. Sometime similar to this Raf coat below, but thicker. Basically, it needs to be a nice, clean design; no gratuitous zips, pockets, etc. Price range is approximately £200 - 250.

  9. It just so happens I'm free on the 13th so I think I'll make the trip over to Glasgow to check it out. The store they're putting it in is certainly not big though; maybe they're not expecting first day queues. Well, hopefully, anyway.
