  2. Tried on the slim fit cords, inseam was too long so couldn't tell what the hem was like. The fit is slim to regular they weren't skinny at all and kinda felt like they could accommodate a taper. Material is thin and the corduroy texture is of the furry kind. I quite liked them, will be getting them next week i think.

How long are we talking in terms of inseam here? What size do you usually take?

  3. On the subject of Tricker's, I'm after a bit of sizing advice if anyone could help.

How should I go about sizing the Country boots, specifically the Stow? I was going to get a UK 8, as that is the size I have in the Tricker's Henley shoe, but I remember hearing somewhere that the Country shoes and boots are sized a little more generously. Can anyone confirm this?

  4. I'm beginning to think, perhaps prematurely, of some boots for winter. I'm really considering the Red Wing GTs in black, but I'm concerned that they would look stupidly chunky on me. What else would people recommend for the winter for around the same price?

  5. SARS and bird flu never came to all that much, relatively speaking. It's probable that this will go the same way. Hopefully, at least.

Also, I can't believe no one has said:

'Brings a whole new meaning to the expression "sick as a pig".'

So I had to say it.

    Hur hur hur.

  6. If anyone is interested, I have a Uniqlo x OC navy parka in M that I don't think I want but now cannot send back. If anyone wants it drop me a PM, otherwise I'll probably just keep it. It's BNWT.

  7. I ended up getting the Our Legacy ones in a size 44 (XS). The fit is just what I was after; neither overly high nor low waist, slim but not skinny with a slight taper below the knee. For those interested here are the measurements:

    Waist: 15.25"

    Thigh: 10.75"

    Knee: 8.375"

    Hem: 7.375"

  8. Charity shop.

When I find I have stuff that the time and effort required to sell it far outweighs whatever meagre profit I'll reap, these are by far the best option. Whack all the stuff in a bin bag and just drop it off - simple.

  9. I've always liked bold, harsh sounding names of Germanic origin. The bitch is that my surname is Italian so it'd never work if the kid took my surname.

I'd love to call a kid Swein, but I'm sure he'd just get the piss taken out of him continually.
