  1. ^Îve been looking for low cut 875 style shoes, but I dont think RW produce them at the moment.

On the japanese market I think South2 West8 (s2w8) produced a shoe like that this s/s, but I cant find any links right now.

Let me know if you find any RWs in that style.

    Maybe these?

Not the exact same shoe, but they're definitely similar in style to the 875s.

  2. I received an e-mail from Gordon today stating that things are still rolling smoothly. The selvage threads are being dyed and when those are finished the denim weaving shall begin. He wanted me to tell all of you that everything will be moving along shortly.

Hang in there, this will be well worth the wait i'm sure!!

Good to hear these are still coming along. Has there been any word on which patch they want to use?

  3. I have a pair of Hawaiis waiting to be worn. Can I expect the same thing with them or are they less prone to this unfortunate effect?

I don't believe so as I have a pair of Hawaii's with a bit of that problem. I don't think the cuts are really that different, so don't expect much of a fit change.

  4. I really dig them. I have the same problem of length with regular style jean jackets, so chore jackets are a good alternative for me. I picked up a vintage lined one from ebay recently which I plan to start wearing once it cools down a bit.

I really like some of Sugar Cane's, like this one for example.

Sadly, I think it's an old model as I've never actually been able to find it in stock(SC makes some other nice ones too, but I love the shape of the pockets on that one).

But now after picking up a denim one what I've looking for is a lighter cotton one, something like this EG one I missed out on.

Some of the Japanese brands have some really nice ones, but I've found the sleeves are sometimes too short for me on them. I wish more American brands still made them, as I think I'd find the sizing better for myself.

  5. Hinoya takes paypal now and ships overseas (not sure if they do it through Rakuten though). Otherwise, I ordered mine from Milwaukee (mil-mil.net), which isn't a part of Rakuten but they still offer great service.

  6. I bought my last pair of Red Wings mostly due to the crepe sole. I like the look on the right boot. It's a matter of taste I suppose. I grew up with my father wearing similar boots and seeing farmers and construction workers often wearing crepe soles. I always thought they looked cool when worn in.

  7. I bought these a couple months back and the fit just isn't working for me (probably should have went one size down). They have a bit of wear on the back side and some slight whiskering, but that's about it. These have a little less than a month of wear. They are the one-wash version and have not been washed by me.

    measurements BiG method:

    waist – 15.25

    rise - 11

    thigh – 11.75

    inseam - 33

    knee – 8.75

    leg opening – 8.25

Asking 135 shipped in the US.

    - Paypal or Google checkout (paypal add 4%)

    - Will ship USPS priority with tracking

  8. The SDAs are actually described as "Full leg Relaxed fit" on BiG, so I'm glad we went with the regular/straight fit Fullcounts. I suppose the distinction between regular fit and relaxed depends on one's build/weight, but my s0500s (closely comparable to the Fullcounts it seems) fit me like regular fit jeans. Maybe your idea of regular is more of a relaxed cut.

  9. I'm really excited about these... I was kind of afraid they were gonna be alittle too loose for my liking but the measurements look good. Also does anyone know if these will have the arcs/tabs?

Doubt they'd have tabs. However, I think it's going to be do-it-yourself arcs.

    - The owner is going to send pictures with options for buttons, rivets, thread colors and thread thickness/size so we can customize the jeans to our liking in that respect. He’s cool with the idea of self painted arcs and can include a cardstock template if we want to go with that idea.

Unless this has changed (which I hope not, because I love the idea of self painted arcs).

  10. Size chart (pre-wash):

Interesting, the 29s are almost exactly the same as my 29 Samurai s0500s except the Sammies measure (based on the BiG chart) 8.75 at the knee while these are 9.25. Same leg opening and thigh, however. It seems these must have a bit more of an extreme taper between the knee and leg opening.

I think I may consider hemming them shorter to reduce the taper a bit.

  11. As suspender buttons can always be added and some people might not care for them, I'd say better to leave them off. However, it would be awesome to have a contest jean with a cinch back as they're much easier to remove than to add. I thought those Fullcount 0117s posted earlier looked awesome myself.

  12. patch-4v2.jpg

I really like this. It's relevant to the year and the brand, and it's also quirky in kind of the same way the Warehouse 660 patch was. Imo, if it's for a contest it might as well be something that doesn't look like a patch from any old pair of jeans.
