as i understand it, any product code prefaced by 'rsa' (such as this) is unavailable for wholesale.
I think that is the case normally, but these are actually in the wholesale catalog. I think it's possible to get them wholesale.

I am a size 30 too. So are you saying you don't notice much of a difference in the thigh between the two pairs? .2 inches would be fine. Are your 6x6's one-wash too?
They're one wash. I'd suggest measuring your 811s and comparing that to fabfour's chart: http://www.fabfour.co.jp/pdf/HowToMeasure5010xx66L.pdf
I find that my pair is pretty spot on as far as the chart goes (and make sure you take into account that their waist measurement is circumference).

I think it depends on what size you need. My size 30 5010 6x6s measure around a 10.8 in the thigh, and I think the eternal 811 30 measures an 11. But I guess the 811 thigh measurement is the same for the 28, 29, and 30, so if you're a 28 or 29 things are going to be a lot tigher in skulls. And if you're bigger than that I don't know how it'll fit.

What are the thigh measurements on those S0505xx?

Are there any other Rakuten shops other than Bears (they still don't ship outside of Japan, right?) that carry PBJs xx-005 and ship internationally?

I got an email too, although I'm not sure what to make of it. It doesn't tell me if my cardigan is backordered, but under shipping remarks it says, "Available stock will be shipped, balance will be put on backorder." I ordered another shirt too, so maybe I'll be getting two packages.

I would get the raw.... it's all personal preference though, i like the darkness and stiffness of the raw
Just based at looking at Edmond's pictures of his raw 6x6 and comparing it to my one wash, I'd actually say the one wash are darker. But the raw are of course much stiffer, which I know some people really like.

I got my one wash 5010xx 6x6 size 30s today. Actually, they came a couple days ago, but I had them delivered to my parents place and I had to go pick them up. I love how dark and blue thay are. But I'm glad I didn't try sizing down to a 29, because the waist is quite tight already.
And heres a random picture I took this afternoon after trying them on:

xs fits like 34/36" and s fits like 36/38". they are pretty slim and they shrink a little in the wash. got mine in small for a slouchy look, since i have 2 in x-small. hope that helps... this is all based on just trying them and not measuring.
So they run larger than the size chart? Gah. I went medium because I'm about a 37 and it says to size up if you're in-between sizes. I hope it won't be too big, although I don't want a super slim cardigan either.

Damn, those are nice looking. But what I really wonder is how the fading will look. A "blue overcast" sounds kind of interesting.

So what's the situation with future orders? I've been sitting on an order for a few days now, waiting to hear more on the possible changes in shipping.

I love the white shoes (and the white pants), rep+. What are the shoes?

are the williamsburg selvage?
If they're $60 at base price I doubt they're selvage. Does anyone have any pictures of the denim close up? I assume they're not using the same Japanese denim as the gough, but I'm still curious how these look.

I was going to ask nearly the same question, except I wear a 12 in vans slip ons and was wondering if I should go with a 12 in Purcells. I do have wide feet if that matters.

Just went over the Ande Whall thread, now I can't decide between the Skull 5010xx I have been wanting of the Ande Grifters. Is the price difference something to consider for the Ande's? Are the two fits reasonably the same? Thanks
Have you looked at the measurements for both? That might be a good start. The Skulls are going to be tapered more than the Ande Whalls.

They both use different thigh measurement techinques, so I'm not sure how to compare that. But the rest of the data should give an idea as to any difference in fit.

Skull 50-10xx, unless you want a relaxed fit (King) or a higher rise with a straight leg (Duke or King). I think the Skull is a better deal for the price (here in the US at least) if the cut is to your liking.

Interesting stuff. I wasn't sure if brogues had been part of that fashion or not, but ever since I saw a picture of this one Japanese dude wearing Trickers and high cuffed jeans I've loved the look of brogue boots with cuffed denim. I picked up a pair of Grenson Ilkley brogue boots soon after, and I've been mixing that look in my dress on occasion.
