These just arrived today, size 10.5 Stows with Dainite sole.
I ended up going with the same size as my Grenson Ilkley boots. I think they could be the tiniest bit tighter in the toe box (Grenson's were G but these are the 5 fitting), but it's hard to tell because the leather is still very hard.
My only little gripe is one heel is not perfectly glued tight in one corner (pic 1, pic 2). I'm not sure if I should be concerned about it construction wise or not. Otherwise, they're really beautiful boots imo.

I think this was posted earlier in this thread, but check out the site below for good measurements of most of the Edwin Lee models.

I'm reposting this since my old thread seems to have vanished.
These are Samurai’s Lee style jean using their unique 17oz left hand twill. One of favorite denims but sadly they’ve never stretched out enough to wear comfortably. They’re lot 10 and ran a little smaller in the waist than expected and probably won’t stretch too much more in the waist at this point. They were hot soaked and worn for less than a month. They have not been hemmed or altered.
These are now sold.
measurements BiG method:
waist – 15.5
front rise – 10
back rise – 14.5
thigh – 12
inseam - 35
knee – 8.75
leg opening – 8.25

Also, I noticed there is a set of what looks like slight creases on the right leg, visible in this photo.

I think it's probably just from where the indigo may have pooled during the hot soak and I imagine should disappear with wear and washing..

For anyone interested in picking up a pair of Lee Japans Speedway's ebay store right now has them on sale for $179 with free shipping. Best price I've seen online, especially considering the yen currently. I figured I'd share since I already purchased some 36s earlier today from them.

Since I got a new pair of Hair on Hide I can do this
Those look good. Do you find the 36/7s run true to waist size? I'm a true 30 and was thinking of picking up the 28s, but Cultizm says they run true to size which makes me a little wary of sizing down.

Samurai s0130XJ or Lee 1934 101B (or maybe 1937 or 39, not decided on the exact model yet).
I want a Lee style with a buckleback, higher rise and somewhat roomy fit (but not super baggy). I'm leaning towards the 130s because I love Samurai's LHT but I can't find any measurements of the rise and I'm not sure about 17oz denim paired with a looser cut.

I really don't think you're going to see the taper you want even with a size 27.
http://www.samurai-j.com/contents/jeans/s0500xx/index.htm
It's a very insignificant decrease from 28 to 27 as far as I can tell. But I don't see how you're going to get much more of a taper with anything but slim/skinny jeans.

I have a quick question for anyone who's ordered a 2008 model, I tried to search this thread but 4.0 search seems to rarely turn up results now. Are all 2008s lot 11 ( I assume so but just want confirmation)? I'm looking at picking up some 130xjs which are back in production for 2008 but I want to make sure I won't have the same sizing issues I've had with some of my lot 10s.

I actually find new Sufu strains my eyes. I can't even browse for long periods anymore.

What's the highest this can go?
I've heard rumors it's over 9000!

shit, gotta start grinding rep power..
Me too. I wish I had powerful AoEs, I could grind rep out a lot faster.

Texas cotton will definitely stretch. My s0500s were able to stretch out a lot more than my 17oz LHT Jins.

I don't think so. Last year when BiG had its Christmas sale (which I guess may or may not happen again) it was the middle of December.

Is it worth the $185 for it or should I save up for some Red Wings for that matter, since I'm going for a classic work boot look.
Then get a work boot. Those Timberlands are hiking boots and look just like classic hiking boots.

Wow, the denim on those Locomotives really reminds me of Oni. I'm surprised how slubby they're looking.

Those are some really cool looking Canes: buckleback, crotch rivet, and denim that looks almost as irregular as the slack denim.

006/008s too please, thinking of picking up a pair and I'd love to see some more examples of that denim.

left in the mouth, right in everywhere
I don't get cleavage/upper chest tattoos on girls, it's like defacing a masterpiece painting with a permanent marker. Why would you want anything to permanently distract from your breasts (unless you don't have any)?

It's cool to see more people in Canes, especially looking forward to the eventual Okinawa fades (kind of wish I hadn't missed out on grabbing a pair of those). But I'm glad they didn't have any Hawaiis on sale, as I'm nearing 6 months in mine and they're really starting to get interesting. I'll probably take some pics in the next month or so, but it's cool that there aren't a lot of Hawaiis floating around it seems.

I took David's advice and sized up another 1/2 on the E fit on the slimmer lasts and the shoes fit like a dream. It's really opened my eyes to what size I should be wearing. they fit better than a pair of UK 9 F (US E) shoes I bought earlier. I've always worn boots in a US 9E (Alden 405, Whites SD, Russell Mocs, Redwings) and thought I had to do the same with dress shoes. Guess not. Makes me wonder if I could fit into a 9.5 or 10D for some of the Alden high boots (now all I need is for the AUD to fight back. It's staying level with the GBP atm, which is where I'm currently getting all of my stuff).
What US size would you say these Trickers fit like? Do you have any experience with Tricker's boots? I'm set on ordering some Stows soon from Pediwear and I've basically heard everything from Trickers running one whole size large compared to US to people buying them true to their US size or now larger than US size. I saw David at the factory shop tell someone to size down 1/2 from their US size and that the boots are about 1/2 size larger than that, but I also contacted Trickers directly and they only told me 1/2 size down from US size for the boots. Trying to figure out Trickers sizing has been a mess because there isn't half as much sizing information as say AE, Alden, C&J, etc.
For reference I wear 405s in 11E and RWs in 11 1/2D but Grenson Country boots in 10 1/2G. I've been torn between getting Stows in 10 1/2 and hoping they aren't too narrow or getting 11s and hoping they aren't too long (I really wish the Stows came in the 6 fitting).

My 1947's are coming on Tuesday. I can't wait.
By chance does anybody know how much the leg opening will shrink? I bought a 31X34. I want the leg opening to be smaller like 7.5in or less. I bought the unwashed 1947's btw.
If you want that much taper you're better off getting some 66s. According to BiG's measurements 47s are going to be a bit wider than you want.

Can anyone recommend jeans with cuts similar to Oni Blues? I'm looking for higher rise jeans like those which aren't too relaxed of a fit (I already have pair of Sugar Canes with a similar fit).

My size size 28 36 hair-on-hides arrived yesterday from Speedway shop. I just finished soaking them today. Here's how they turned out.
http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s185/Baron_Munchausen/DSC_0401rez.jpg
I'm glad I took the sizing advice given in this thread. My true waist is a 30 and the waist on these was actually loose before the soak (about 31 or so inches measured). After the soak they've shrank to a comfortable size and the length thankfully shrank from about 36 to a hair over 34. One surprise is that there was quite a bit more leg twist than I expected for "sanforized" denim (the reason why I think one side looks like it has a bit of hip flare). Anyway, I've been looking for lighter weight denim for summer and with the looser fit these should be great.
