I don't like the Prada shoes to be honest, too branded. Dior Homme has some nice ones, but the current season sucks except for the white patent leather ones with blue and red detailing.

But generally, I would recommend just going with dress shoes instead. They're very easy to dress down. Not that I dislike classy sneakers, it's just that the vast majority of them is very gaudy.

I don't think it should be stickied. After all, it's only relevant to 13 people until we get some content.

The men's jeans basically all look horrible. Some of the women's jeans look ok, but the prices are ridiculous.

Raf Simons was definitely a good choice for the first designer of the week. I just bought my first piece by him yesterday (SS07 Laceups). Unfortunately I haven't really been following him for very long, so I can't say much about his previous collections. However, I am already amazed by the very different ideal of beauty that he seems to believe in, it's much more along the lines of what I am partial to than the general western ideal.

I can also associate very much with his taste in art. Park, the only place in Vienna that sells his clothes (I think) has a frequently changing selection of books recommended by Raf, and they are all great. If I was in a financial position where 150 Euros for a book is feasible, I would buy all of them.

I don't think anyone here actually dislikes prefaded jeans as a whole. It's just that most prefaded jeans are absolutely hideous because the washes are utter crap. There are exceptions though. For example, Julian Red and Acne both have some great washes.

Hahaha, when I first read the Japanese May 2007 GQ, I immediately thought that the dude in the YSL advertisement on the back cover looked like Vincent Gallo, but then thought that YSL would never use him for their advertisements.

I just recently paid 40 Euros of charges on an item marked 100 Dollars. Customs likes screwing Europeans. First, they converted dollars to euros 1:1. Then, it was 12% of something, 20% of something else, and after that they added another charge of 6 Euros for good measure.

I think bros are given too much hate. I don't like frats or miller lite or gun show t-shirts, but they don't actually try to be twats, even if that's what it looks like. At least they don't rob people or kill people or anything.

I still dislike the shirt idea. While it would be cool, many of us (including me) are in an environment where we can't possibly wear a denim shirt every day (not even every second or third day) for a month.

All I know about him is that he dresses like a badass in Buffalo '66. Especially those boots.

The idea of buying a disposable camera (no high quality dSLR crap) and taking a picture every day got positive feedback in the last thread. Obviously many of us have lives where we will not be able to have a spectacular picture every day, but there are other ways to get a cool picture. Waiting for a bus, or just in front of some nice piece of scenery ala hap & bizzy.

There should obviously be high quality pictures taken every month to show the fades and such.

Someone suggested keeping a moleskine in one of the back pockets, but I'm not sure if there will be much of a back pocket at the end of the year, with each member actually wearing the jeans every day.

For shipping, tracked/insured is definitely the way to go. Fast shipping too. Kiya is a great guy for providing the jeans, the least we can do is pay to get them around quicker.

The problem is when shipping needs to go to a different continent. I just checked, EMSing them from Austria to the US would cost 60 Euros, and that's with the value declared to be 0, and mass declared to be 2kg (a low estimate I think).

Are you sure about the measurements of the CdG shirt? I have another size small tee from CdG Play and the pit to pit is about 5cm more. If your measurements are right, yours is too small for me

Can you avoid her in your daily life? If so, then yes. If this really was sex with no strings attached, I would say go for it, but judging by her majorly fucked up messages, it's not.

How about each member picks up a disposable camera (for extra mediocre picture quality)... They have 30 shots, right? Since each month will be 3 days shorter or so due to shipping, that would work out to one picture per day plus 1 or 2 extra (for messups). And developed pictures could then be sent straight to kiya.

That, in addition to concert stubs and anything creative, would be quite cool for an exhibition or something like that.

I really hope that superfashion will be able to set itself apart through diversity. For example, StyleZeitGeist seems to be completely focused on Ann D, CCP, Rick Owens, and a few other "Goth-Ninja" designers. While I appreciate them, they're currently not really my thing as much as some other designers are. I think what's so great about this forum is that there are so many different styles represented, which leads to a diverse variety of inspiration.

In general, any advice on books to help me get into this sort of thing would be appreciated. I have some ideas, some sketches, and my grandmother's sewing machine, but absolutely no knowledge or experience.
