  1. +10 for cheep. I've been wondering about this for a while. If you think a guy is wearing a nice outfit say so! Who the fuck cares what your or his sexual orientation is. It's not like this is gaydate.superfuture.com or even hotchixwithdixforchrix.superfuture.com. Just be comfortable complimenting someone...

If people say "nice fit no homo" then thats not the original intention. Look at the example that camron gives in the video that someone posted... the double meaning is what makes it so funny.

  2. The way I see it, "no home" is kind of like "no pun intended" except that it only works for puns with gay second meanings. I still think it's funny, but I would also love to see gay people start using it.

  3. TI vs TIP was VERY underwhelming.

Couldn't agree more. Too bad, since so far, TI was one of the last mainstream artists that had some appeal due to his swagger. Now it seems it's stupid (TIP) vs bad (TI, and I mean bad as in bad). The best part was the T.I.P. intro, and Busta Rhymes' part on one of the songs was amazing too. Eminem trying to sound like TI was an absolute catastrophe, but then again anything he put out recently has been.

Oh, and by the way, Mark Ronson has been on repeat in my stereo for a while now, I even ordered the CD even though I couldnt find an Austria store that had it.

  4. Umm, Yoox sells past season stuff at discount. That piece is from ss06 or earlier. Costume National is priced very high at retail, easily on par with any other high-end brand.

I can get Costume National suits for about 600-700 Euros at a local store. Seems like their pricing is inconsistent.

  5. I really like it. Although I must admit that the studded leather jackets (the most "punk" pieces in the collection?) are my least favorite part. I love how it looks like the models have been wearing these clothes all their life and are completely comfortable in them. He takes a three piece suit and makes it look as comfortable and downdressed as jeans and a t-shirt, even though it is impeccably tailored. I love that the knitwear drapes (but never too much ala Julius) and that it is always slightly longer or slightly shorter than normal. The leather jackets without studs but with pushed up sleeves are great too.

So I guess I'm quite fond of this. It all has that quality that is so hard to define, it just "works". And what's even better, I could actually see myself wearing a vast majority of those pieces.

  6. I like it. At least it breaks out of the conventional "perfectly draping and fitting layers of black clothing" that everyone on sufu always busts a nut over. I think the only problem is that while many of the pieces are quite cool (definitely not all though), the ensembles pretty much all have too much going on at the same time that, to my untrained eyes, just doesn't work together.

  7. There's the occasional "wow" and the incredible wishing to be able to pull some of the stuff in this collection off (some of the gold pieces or the red/blue trenches to name a few). It seems like there is a nice mixture of eccentric and wearable that designers often don't achieve.

Also, this is how sagged pants are supposed to be done. I can't tell from the pictures of most pants if they're just sagged or if they're worn regularly but the crotch is dropped. Either way, I like it.

  8. I really like this. The suits are amazingly cut and all have an appearance of authority. Even though they are clearly fashion suits, this is something that could be worn to the office, and that's a rare achievement. The coats are also great. I like the croppable trenchcoat, and it's a rarity that I like croppable anything. As for the rest of the collection, while not every single look appeals to me, I can always find a piece or two that is definitely very interesting

This look is fantastic, it's a rarity that anything sleeveless works. And it isn't just a great item, the entire look is amazing with the trousers, shoes, etc.

I am also very fond of the variety that is present in this collection. Unlike some others, I don't really need a central "theme" of one word that ties a collection together. It's enough if there are some subtle indicators that yes, these looks are indeed from the same collection, and that's definitely present here.

I am generally not very fond of Versace, but this is a very strong collection.

  9. I'm not too fond of this.

First off, obviously the suits are nice. It's Jil Sander. Well it isn't, but it still is. I also like the red suit that kaegan pointed out, but I would have preferred to see it in a fabric that isn't so matte. The other suits are nice too, but that's about it.

The coats are very cool on the catwalk, but I don't think they are very wearable. I hate the jacket with shorts look, even when Raf does it. And everything else is just trousers with a shirt, even if the shirt is made of some crazy material. There are no new shapes, no new silhouettes, nothing along those lines. Too bad, because like many here I'm both a fan of Raf and of Jil.

edit: to give some credit though, those may even be sandals that I would consider wearing anywhere else but the beach. And that's actually quite the achievement.
