  1. Taking a break from revising for IB HL Maths (somebody kill me) and indulging in some beautiful Milka chocolate from my beautiful half-Austrian girlfriend :)

Good luck on monday&tuesday... I'm taking that too and I know how you feel... at least there's like 2 more weeks to study for HL Econ...

Oh, and tell your girlfriend to get you some Zotter chocolate. It's the best thing that Austria has to offer.

Best way to stop studying for 30 minutes: make something to eat

    My favorite Pesto

    fresh Parmesan

    fresh Rucola

  2. good topic, i don't have time to post so much now, but i'll update my recommendations tomorrow.

MC Solaar is the shit btw, but only his older records. i consider IAM's L'École du Micro d'Argent to best the best record ever with Endtrocucing so i cannot possible recommend it more. their newer records have been a little weak though (they even fucking did a colabo with Behonce...). other french artists that should be mentionned

Supreme NTN, a shame they stopped doing records together.

    Fonky Family, really dope shit.

the whole IAM familiy is dope.

Dj CutKiller compilation are real nice

    Saian Supa crew

    2 Bal 2 Neg

and of Course, TTC. but i guess most of you already know them.

i'll be back tomorrow for more

This is some great stuff. I know it's mainstream, but I've been into Booba lately, he's a guilty pleasure of some sort.

I know a bit about German hip hop, no really underground shit though.

    1. The current scene sucks

    2. The scene was amazing about 10 years ago.

Probably my favorite German hip hop is Freundeskreis. Very jazz&raggae influenced, amazing shit. "Wenn der Vorhang Faellt" is a good place to start. Some of their members are doing solo stuff now, Max Herre is my favorite.

Freundeskreis - Wenn der Vorhang Faellt (Probably one of my favorite German hip hop tracks ever. never mind the first 1:10, couldnt find a better link)

    Freundeskreis - A.N.N.A.

Freundeskreis - Tabula Rase II (German, English and French)

Another absolutely amazing artist is Afrob. He is above average lyrically, but what really sets him apart is his amazing ear for beats and his swagger.

Afrob ft. Ferris MC - Reimemonster (sorry for the low quality, try to find a hq version of this, it deservers to be heard)

A recent favorite of mine is MAdoppelT, one of the few decent hip hop related things to come out of Austria. His website is here:

    http://www.madoppelt.com/MAdoppelT-Plan-Leben.htm

And a few of his songs are on Youtube.

    Unplugged performance:

There are also a few links to downloads on his website.

Another one of my favorites is Sido. While he's quite popular, he has some hilarious lyrics and a cool voice as well as the occasional ridiculous beat. I also like that most of his videos show some of the poor districts of Berlin. Having been there, that's what it actually looks like, minus the guy in a mask rapping of course.

Sido - Steig Ein (unfortunately I can't find the whole track on youtube, the song that begins after the first verse sucks. It's amazing till then though, love the beat)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adjBb501Yq0

    Sido - Strassenjunge

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4C4aAt2wKDw

He also works with many people from other genres. Here is an example of an cool track he did with DJ Tomcraft.

Sido, Tai Jason, Tomcraft - Sureshot

While most German mainstream rappers right now are awful (or at least extremely inconsistent), there are some amazing producers.

Chakuza ft. Bushido - Euro Kinder (beat samples Rhythm of a Dancer, actually pretty good lyrics)

  3. I read it because it's great for inspiration. Superfuture is great because such a variety of styles is represented. Once I'm done with the stress of having to get up at 5:30 for exams everyday, I'll probably start posting too.

  4. oh dear. i love that. i love prosciutto e rucola....... and the parmigiano looks nice and thick and tasty. shit.

im having leftover plain rice for dinner after my last final paper. : (

Word... All that pizza needs is some fresh tomatoes on it.

I can't wait for when my IBs are over, I already reserved restaurants for lunch and dinner :)

  5. I'm 1.90m and 70-75kg and every single thing I bought was L. Even some L stuff was too small for me and many Japanese stores just don't have an XL size. I also wanted to buy some sneakers but I'm a 44-45 (10.5?) and couldn't find anything nice in that size.

It makes sense though. When walking on the streets in Tokyo I went from slightly above average to the tallest motherfucker in a mile. Ego++
